Thanks
Fixed this issue... for images created over the last few days the thumbnail will be broken unless it is re-uploaded, otherwise the attachments should work.

Hy guys,
I encounter the following problem with my device:
it generates a file called "DbgToStorageLog" on my root, taking space from my memory (several logs, 2,3 of sizes up to 3MB)... it also generates other files "HTCExceptionLog". The first ones i can't delete (except for one. eg: i have 3 files, i can delet only 2 , one has to remain... message: file is in use), the second type of files can all be deleted... but show up again.
Please help me solve this problem
Many thanks in advance
The way to resolve this is to use notepad and save a blank page as DbgToStorageLog1.txt.
Do the same and save DbgToStorageLog2.txt, then 3, 4 and 5. Do the same with HTCExceptionLo, save as a txt file.
All these saved files will have a size of zero bytes. Select properties on each of the newly saved files and make them read only. and replace the ones of the same name on your device. The files will not increase in size.
Note, you may have to soft resetIf if any of the DbgToStorageLog files displays an error to being replaced...

I try to solve this problem by doing orignal rom of “O2 xda” but no success .i also tried method of manually created file of 0k size but bettery backup problem remain same means some processing countinously occures for creating that file and waste battery
plz tell me what to do?
Sorry for bad english
Thanks in Advance
In Registry explorer (SKTools) search for key: DebugLog (HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\DebugLog\), rename Htc_Lib.dll (delete simbol "_"), change index from 2 to 0. Save and exit SKTools. Soft Reset.
After soft reset - delete all DbgToStorageLog.txt.
In some cooked roms this key is missing. Sorry for English poorly.
Thanks you very very much spgi
after long time somebody response, your solution solve my problem and i am very glad but after doing this my orbit goes too much slow and when i tuch screen it response after 3 to 4 sec and beep trice. So when roll back to previous values "Htc_Lib.dll and index=0" then my orbit give response fast as compared before but start loging files "DbgToStorageLog0.txt ..." again
please give any solution
or if you have o2 orbit and working prefect then give me your "HKLM" registery backup may be this can solve my problem if its possible to import registry of other device
Thanks again for your help
Sorry for bad english

As you solve my problem earlier please tell any solution for my problem now
I correct my orbit as u told but after a week my device going in held condition too much and then I doing soft-reset but after some soft-rest its not on even I press power+soft-reset+talk button, but after putting battery out from device for a day then press power button its on and held at boot screen now I can hard reset with official Rom through memory card and some time its success or some time screen fill with horizontal white lines and device goes in not responding mode until i put off battery from device its not off, then same problem of waiting 24 or some time with 5 min its starts. If rom successfully burned then with 10 days same thing happen with my device (helding ). I don’t know what happened to this orbit ,even I used o2 xda from one year and flash lot of rom nothing happened with xda, but orbit give me lot of problem.
Do you have any solution?
I appreciate your response
sorry for bad english
Thanks againg for helping me
Hey all,
I had a hard time deciding whether this was worth a topic or not, but it might come in handy for some of you, so here it is...
All one needs is a developer (or student, or chevron) unlocked device and at least one app slot available.
Now if you deploy this xap (based on Heatcliff's Nokia Interop Unlock test) it will remove the splashscreen of whatsapp (that ugly green thing).
The app called Nokia Interop Unlock test or something like that can be removed directly after having it deployed to your device.
Credits where its due, thank Heatcliff for discovering this method.
THIS IS PURE COSMETIC, IT WILL GET RID OF THE UGLY GREEN/BLUE SPLASH SCREEN
UPDATE v2:
This version replaces the original splash screen with a corrupted file, a blanco textfile renamed to a jpg. This seems to work fine and will probably also work on the white theme
EDIT: This will naturally work with other apps also if one replaces the the GUID in the "../../" folder in the xap itself.
EDIT2: For dark themes only. If you rock a white theme, you will need to open the image inside the "../../guid/Install/" folder in the xap for a white image. Version 2 will probably work on the white theme also.
works fine on my lumia 800!
thanks.
Will the splashscreen be restored with an update of WhatsApp?
Yes, an update will probably restore it. Deleting and re-installing htis app will remove it again, though. You should probably delete the app after installing anyhow; unless you're interop-unlocked it will use up one of your unsigned app slots until deleted. The change it amkes won't be reverted upon deletion, though.
I have not had an update of whatsapp yet to confirm. But like GDTD said, I do indeed suspect that the update will also overwrite the splash screens so yes one will need to redeploy this after an update.
IS this purely cosmetic or does it improve app start up speed?
Purely cosmetic. It doesn't remove the splash screen at all, it just replaces it with a blank image.
As expected it does not survive an update.
I will look into the possibility of replacing it with a blanco image, because now its just a black image (its a jpeg). No image at all would be better as that will work on both themes. Unfortunately heatcliffs method does not allow deleting files (duh). So that wont be very straight forward. I will try a corrupted file maybe that will work
Ok my test with a corrupted file was succesfull, I've updated the first post with a version 2. This should work on both themes as it just replaced the jpg splash screen image with an empty jpg file.
Also it does not show a splash screen at all now so it looks like it boots up a tad quicker
Trying to add an attachment to posts gives me either a blank screen, a permission denied, or a rate limited error.

Hi chainfire,i faced the error too...
I waited to the next day and it worked
Perhaps you might have got a better response posting directly in @bitpushr thread?
Still not working for me, attaching large files ...
Try again, you should be good up to 20MB.

While it no longer immediately gives an error when I press the upload button, after the entire file has been transmitted, the status bar shows "Waiting for forum.xda-dev..." forever, and the file is not actually attached to the post (the file I'm testing with is 12mb, btw).
My situation is a little different. After I click on "Manage Attachments" that. Appeared slightly greyed out or faded I am taken to where I am suppose to click on "Choose File" nothing happens?
perhaps the connection that youve got
Nope, no way that could be it. Besides it has worked for me in the past.

OK thanks guys.. How many posts do I have to make to get there
I ran as administrator did everything i saw in the thread but i kept getting an error stating "the system cannot find the path specified" I had no clue what to do. I searched and looked (i was unable to post and ask) although with due diligence I finally found others with this issue most believed it was a windows 10 issue but its not A user by the name of damaph Thank you as i was unable to do so in the thread where you posted this

I don't know if you guys have the same issue but I had a similar "0 files copied" problem and was able to fix it. My issue was because the script trys to save a log file to
%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\adb-installer.log
My desktop was moved to another location so %USERPROFILE%\Desktop did not exist. To fix it, I temporarily created a desktop folder in my user profile (c:\users\[username]\desktop).
Snoop05, I would move the log file location to %temp% instead of %USERPROFILE%\Desktop.

This was the solution to my issue and hopefully anyone else who may have missed that post and your having this issue thank Damaph and Snoop05
I am very thankful for this as I am not very familiar with using ADB previously i always just used an SD card and never bothered with ADB although with the OnePlus 3 that's not exactly an option.
thanks both of you guys! :highfive:
So, about the problem, ever since I updated my Razer Phone (3 Branded, Unlocked) to 8.1, I can't use the fingerprint as upon opening my phone by either power button or double tap to wake it detects a bunch of fingerprints and says too many attempts, try again later. I didn't have that problem when my device is on 7/N, and I don't have the time and resources to try to factory reset my phone.

Some guy also posted this problem on Reddit and the response he got is to factory reset and/or RMA which I can't do for a number of reasons.

Any help would be appreciated!
BTW just remove the spaces on the Google drive link since I can't post links yet because I'm new here.
