[Q] What's your phone running? - Sony Xperia ZL

Are you running something based on stock .67? or stock .244? or are you running a Cyanogenmod/other non stock base?
And if you're running .244 is there any particular reason you're running .244 instead of .67?
I'm curious what's the most common "Base" for Rom's that you guys are running on your Xperia ZL... I know that not everyone runs the newest rev all of the time, but I may not know the reasoning behind running a back rev... (is it more stable, better camera, etc, etc)
Thanks for taking a minute to respond.

I'm using OmniROM 4.4 Nightlies. Over the half year that I've had this phone, based on the activity in the various threads I've seen, it seems to me that most people that have a ZL are using stock .67, or a modified stock. Though that might be different so I'm curious as to what people will post.

I'm running stock 67, rooted, no recovery. I deleted all social media apps that where preinstalled by sony as well as all google apps (except playstore and framework). And I'm really satisfied, although my device has some problems:
- Data connection is broken after turning wifi off
- Remote control doesn't learn anything
- when connecting to a tv via MHL I get no sound
I had those problems on pure stock as well.
Sony Xperia ZL C6503, rooted, 4.2.2 Stock

Actually I'm running eXistenZ v2.3.5 | Ultra Edition | 4.2.2 | .67 | FULL HONAMI |, this my first andoid phone and the best phone I've ever had, I've been using Nokia N8 for 3 years and the only thing I miss is Nokia maps.
The system is very stable and I love the fact that I can under-clock the cpu when I know that I can't charge the battery for more than 8 hours. The camera opens quickly less than 2 seconds. the Gps locks very fast about 5 seconds under clear sky. So far so good I'm still discovering Android and I love this phone

Well I am probably one of the few from this site that only use the stock .267 from Sony. I never root this phone.
Sent from my C6506 using xda app-developers app

Running CyanogenMod, and I'm happy with the performance. No issues with heating and battery lasts at least 36 hours with 3 hours display time.

Using 4.3
The Awesomest i have used for days are The new 4.3. Journalism version. Stock!
It's smooth, fast, easy to use, and awesome looking UI ( I believe that it is from Z ultra or Z1 ).
Have used 4.4 (Kitkat)
4.2.2. - JB (Stock, 244, 2.67)
Other 4.3 Roms and there all ****.
Everyone one of them has been Rooted and BL and BU.
There is few problems: There is no DRM check possibility, because of this I can't Mirror my new Samsung TV and my phone.
Don't know about LTE support, because my country hasn't got it yet!

i'm running the eXistenZ v2.3.5 | Ultra Edition | 4.2.2 | .67 | FULL HONAMI too. At first, the battery life was terrible, but i think it was because the ROM wasn't settled in. After about 2 days, i was getting decent battery from it. Lasts almost a day with average usage. Waiting for the kitkat roms to come out as Sony released the codes just recently for Xperia L and hopefully it will be ported completely here too.

Can you upload a different site for gapps?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Probably thats a problem with the file hoster. If you are already downloading something finish it first and then try again. Else just try rebooting or something.
PS: For further release i will try to implement Toggles, interface and performance setings (From EOS Rom), theme the dialer and contacts and theme the keyboard key pup-ups.
Hope to get it all done as soon as possible Stuck at recompiling settings.apk If anyone could help me with that...that would be nice, since i have never done that and need some help with an weird error.
Edit
Maybe i can re-upload Gapps tomorrow. In Germany it´s 2 pm and i need some sleep. Also i live in a small village and with my horrific connection uploading takes ages!
All the very best waitng too more good work from you
I noticed the debugging icon is still the ICS icon.
i don't want to be rude, but instead of releasing a full rom why don't you just release a theme? because to be honest here i don't see the point of using other ppl work then add a theme and release a new rom.
It´s because i just started and I will learn and build new things in. But I need a start since I am a person who learns slowly And i thought that I can also share y work and progress..
If ROM developing won´t work .. yeah.. i will go back to theming.. but since i´m so damn willing to do it i hope i gonna make it!
I'm having trouble with the camera application. I did a full wipe and flashed Gapps, but it the camera app isn't on my phone. Did I do anything wrong?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Hm.. i never had that problem.
Version 2 is almost finished.. I´ll fix the camera.apk and include Gapps since some of you have problems with those..
What is that memo app that you have in the second screen shot?
Edit third screen shot
sent from my Galaxy Nexus running official Jelly Bean!!!!
That´s a stock memo App from S3.
If you want to i can include it in next build.
Build 2 arrived.
Check Changelog.
You won´t encounter any probs with gaaps anymore since they are included now.
At the moment I´, working on a 32dpi Navbar MOD right now.
While I really like the look of this rom, it has incompatibility issues with a lot of apps. Getting "You device isn't compatible with this version" error. I do not have this problem with other JB roms.
Thanks for your work bro. Could you post the themed apps separately? I'm running on stock JB. Will be helpful for a lot of us. Thanks again

yeah xperia is pretty sick, i'm calling this rom nexperia, not just because its xperia on the nexus but over time this rom will evolve into two versions.. the stock xperia look and feel, and the one i'm really excited for is theming this like JB (basically my envision of what xperia 4.1.2 would look like if i were sony) it will stay true to the xperia overall look and feel with just a few UI enhancements
BUT first things first... I gotta iron out all these bugs! and i'm having a really hard time with phone calls... basically the phone is still searching for a sim which we don't have and then it connects to data just fine... but when trying to make a phone call the signal just dies and then FC... if anyone around can help out with that HMU.. it's been a minute since i worked with ics, so i know im missing something!

Have you fixed GPS? Have been using this for 2 weeks and battery drain is perfect. Some wrong translations with the German language but generally free of bugs. Camera works very well, though no HDR and stuff. Besides the official Meizu team is supposed to be working on a Flyme 4-based update (presumably more features) and this (Flyme 3.8.4) would be abandoned. Again this UI is aimed at a non-Android experience with many differences when it comes to details (e. g. tapping the notification bar brings the list/page back to the top as in iOS).
By the way although it's rarely the case, the original ROM should also work on F320. No report from the official forum for support of D800/1/3 but I'd doubt if it's D802 only.

It's actually that short on lollipop? I'm posting from this ROM currently (you'd notice from the CM-style signature). This ROM is CM-based with heavily modified system frameworks, so battery life is ideal and I'd say far better than stock JB and better than stock KK which I was on before, plus very smooth animation.

Battery drain is perfect. I test this Rom with battery use and idle more than 4,5 days. Also GPS and orientation is fixed.
This day i have trouble by packing the rom into a ZIP. Trouble by twrp installing.
I think i will roll out this as it is ( twrp backup), maybe this evening

I find this forum is not able to support Chinese well, so I have to use machine to translate them to communicate with you. My machine uses Chinese version firmware, version 1642, I heard they have different partitions. But there are also some overseas and Chinese version of Flyme OS in China's forum. So I want to ask if this can be used to brush with Chinese firmware. If not, I have to use the 9008 brush of Qualcomm to brush the firmware of the international version, and brush the domestic baseband file. This means that it will waste a lot of time. But I like this ROM very much, because its experience is very good. My oneplue2 is using this ROM, the camera question you mentioned, the result of my translation software is not clear, can I use the open source camera instead of it? I hope this project will not be updated only once like Los. I'll try something for a while。
I'm using the Chinese version of twrp. Can you give me an international version of it, because I met this for the first time.
I'm very grateful to you for making this ROM
He looked perfect, yes, I successfully brushed and didn't find any bug. But gapps looks a little bit less. But I still want to line brush again, because I am the speaker after the upgrade to mokee7.12 began broken sound, upgrade to pixel experience is still broken sound, thank you very much, hope can be customized with a revised resolution, because in mokee, how to modify the dpi resolution and there are still some problems
i like it very much
Looks nice but phone app(com.android.phone) is crashing constantly - this is the main problem. Some problems with connecting to hidden WiFi - takes a lot of time. (my phone is ROW) - flashed on wiped device to be sure.

Dear Frantisheq, thank you for your hard work to support our beloved phone. This is potentially pleasant firmware. It has a lot of exciting features, smooth scrolling and beautiful design.
Unfortunately double tap on home button doesn't work. GPS absolutely doesn't work too. A little battery drain is present. Trying to restore Google backup of my previously installed apps leads to cycling reboot.
thanks to everybody. yes camera has problems, GPS doesn't work at all and one CPU kernel just won't go under 1.5GHz, we are trying to fix it.
good news is my latest build I'm testing is i dare to say smooth as stock 4.4, hopefully not because of that 1.5GHz always on

Yes, I found this problem, maybe the kernel problem, which makes me feel more charged when I use this ROM. I spend 14% of my energy on standby. The camera has some bug. The camera is good and bad. When I brush into the onepplus5 camera, I find it will crash in addition to photography. The rest are perfect. The camera that you bring is often unable to process a picture completely. After you finish the photo, you will often get some semi-finished products. But I still want the author to be able to add resolution modification, because after I modify my own resolution, there will be some small bug in the background task.
Congratulations Frantisheq! I am going to try with dual boot patcher.
while testing.
double tap at home not working

Might be a stupid question, but can you share what you used to flash it? I have an AT52, and no OTA, Xperia companion also says no update, and I never seem to have much luck with the various flash tools floating around the forums lol.

Thanks! It worked. I do notice that all app icons on the home screens are square now. Interesting. Time to play around with it.
No 120FPS option in 4k in Cinema Pro unfortunately? I thought they stated this was added for our 1ii. Bummer.
Edit: Just found it. Turns out I am dumb lol. It is there!
One more thing I just realized: Even after several restarts, the recent app button (on the 3 button navigation bar on the bottom), does not seem to work at all.
Did it bring any screen refresh rates above 60hz? There was speculation it would although at a lower screen resolution.
Update just arrived for me

Did it bring any screen refresh rates above 60hz? There was speculation it would although at a lower screen resolution.

That's too bad. Sony's communication about this type of thing is pretty poor
So far so good, nice update
i got it today!
but im depressed...
I like the 4k @120FPs... but i would like to see a Focusbracketing function in the PhotoProApp, and a software button for the shutter.
I got the update today (located in Germany and all stock). So far, I haven't noticed any changes. Do we have a comprehensive change log somewhere?
I got the update today in The Netherlands

Hi, me too. But I have an issue with my WiFi connection. I use a FritzBox 7590 with WPA2 + 3. With Android 10 it worked flawlessly with the new security setting but with today's update I can't use WPA3 anymore.
Does anyone have the same issue?
Cheers

I have no problems connecting with wpa2 + wpa3 to my Fritz Box. I'm running the latest firmware on the Fritz Box.
