Everythings working fine on both GPE 4.4 and Sense 5.5 with android 4.4 ports, this is purely for devs who want to port those roms, kernel is stock besides disabling perflock, and updating the board files to 4.4
Source: https://github.com/Joelz9614/android_kk_kernel_htc_monarudo/tree/m7wlv_kk
this will be updated as new sources are released..kernel is 100% stable the dev tag just means i won't be posting a flashable, and that the devs should build it themselves

Nice to have you here. Nice thread and great work!
I've had some in the works myself that are fairly featured, these will be nice to diff against and look through.
Much appreciated and thanks for sharing.:good:
I look forward to locating the cause of the small tearing issue I was having in my GE port/kernel.
Joelz bro. Hit me up. There is no need for wlv boards or other weird changes needed to boot on m7vzw. Straight gpe with a couple of variables initialized to fix build works just fine

Just trying to help you have a more pure and up to date source instead of patching in the 4.2.2 boards. If they introduce some new camera things that camera board could cause some issues. Not saying it will, but could. You literally only need to do two things to make the GPE 4.4 source boot on our device. They take about 2 min to change and you're up and running building with 4.7 toolchain. If you are interested, let me know. No criticizing here, just lending a helping hand.

The guys over here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778190) are doing a bang up job of getting Jelly Bean on the ol' Dinc.
I've upgraded to a Dinc2 and then a GNex, but keep all three... two with data plans, one only gets used as a bathroom VoIP phone, games, and access to my Google data.
Never know when you'll want to play Jewels or make a call when on the can. OK, OK... TMI.
In any case, you should get over to their thread and show some love. What they have now is almost a daily driver. If you can live with some minor glitches, it is a daily driver.
I'm running CM10 on the Inc now, so it's possible.

I built it using a combination of Evervolv/CM repos. Voice search and camera are the only two things that I know that aren't working.
Yesterday's build can be found here, use at your own risk, file complaints to /dev/null.

I'm guessing too that the status of HWA and Butter are basically dependent on Evervolv. So, those parts of your builds will probably correlate with Evervolv's?
Thanks again, I'm looking forward to checking this out.

Nope. I've already stripped out a lot of things I don't use from the build that I ran today and plan to keep it that way. Drk-hd is working on CM10 looking at his github and I'm sure he'll do a better job than I can do.

Correct. Basically everything that doesn't work in any other rom doesn't work here either. The only thing broken that does work in the others (to my knowledge) is voice search (it never stops listening to you).
Great, thanks for the info and for sharing your build.
I'll just patiently await Drk_HD's builds.

I've got a stupid noob for you about your CM10 build. If I wanted to build my own from the CM source and I followed Drk-hd's instructions in his github, I'm not clear how to incorporate the Evervolv inc code. I see a line where he grabs his github directory for the inc. I think the line he refers to as finishing setting up the repo. Should I replace his with the respective evervolv repo?
sorry, might be a dumb question but I'm new to the whole Android source code thing. Just looking to make my own builds so I don't have to wait for everyone else's.
Thanks for any help you might share.

Albinoman's Jelly Bean ROM boots and runs already. It doesn't have HWA, so the animations are a little slow, but overall, performance is pretty quick. All of the main features work just fine, including Google Now. The only big issue afaik is the non-working camera.
BTW, the Dinc is only 2+ years old (released end of April, 2010), but still very impressive that our old phone can still run the latest Android OS.

EV said they had HWA working on the nexus one and the only changes for that lately have been kernel related and the kernel base is the same for the Inc. Considering how much faster and smoother this build has been since using the new kernel changes, I'm assuming that they are related. If there's more to come to gerrit, then hot dog. For now, I'm quite happy with JB on the inc and any additional speed/smoothness that comes will just be the icing on the cake.

I have been looking for an AOSP ROM for the SGH-T889, but I have not found one yet. Does anyone know of an AOSP build for the Note II?
I haven't found any, so I wanted to build my own. It seems like all that I need is to:
1) get the AOSP source from google
2) copy drivers from opensource.samsung.com/ (search for sgh-t889) into the AOSP tree.
3) build
4) install
Is this all that needs to be done? Or is there more that is needed to do this? I have built ASOP for Nexus S, but not for anything else.
im pretty sure it's more complicated than that. but again i don't know **** about that lol.
I wish I had some free time to try it out. Hopefully this weekend I can explore it more.

Unfortunately its not that easy to build AOSP ROMs for devices like these. Source from samsung may contain some drivers but not all of them since OEMs tend to hold some back. You would have to fix such problems which honestly is a headache. You would also need to build a working kernel.
If you want an AOSP ROM just get a Nexus because this is not a device for AOSP ROMs. You will lose the functionality of the s-pen or other features you liked when you got this device unless they are ported(which again, is a headache to do!).

So bry are you just going to rebuild the kernel for flashable or you're going to mod it on the way there?

I also wonder on which rom we could try this on.. im thinking IC Tazz instead of Viper since its more stripped down and its Rosie is more lightweight.

1. Our device shipped with Android 4.2.2 already, no kernel work was needed.
2. 4.2.2 Google Edition was mostly stripped down Sense, which is no longer the case.
There are other reasons as well, but I won't go into them, as they are all but behind me now anyhow...I'm almost satisfied with the port. (and no, NO ETA's, lol)

Is the framework for 4.4 still pretty much sense? I feel like if it is too much AOSP it might have that glitch on my device... TikTak had it too.

1. Our device shipped with Android 4.2.2 already, no kernel work was needed.
2. 4.2.2 Google Edition was mostly stripped down Sense, which is no longer the case.

Can the Sense camera still be installed on the GPE 4.4 like it could on 4.2/4.3? That's the only reason I would switch to it - I hate AOSP camera.

We are looking for a developer to keep our kernel updated from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51770516
The source is on the OP.. Credit to @uppon2 for finding and posting the kernel and @mcaserg for developing it (believe he changed devices and isn't maintaining it anymore).
We are offering a bounty for development.. So far it is up to $100 - I will update if more pledges are made.
$50 - @nerdyblonde
$50 - @hopsin4444
This is the only known AOSP kernel for our device, and it is outdated and most reported it isn't working too well with 4.4.2. Even though our device is awesome, it doesn't have the publicity it deserves nor the developers. I am trying to learn, but it will take some time since I have never developed for Android before. Thanks all!

I know you can modify it from the XDA app. Edit the OP and change the title, there.

Sorry for the delay, had a busy weekend. anyways here is the latest cm source, nothing is changed this is purely to make sure i have my enviroment setup and i can make booting kernels. if someone could be so kind as to test this then i can begin work on merging features over. please be sure to do a backup
keep in mind this is from e980 cm kernel sources, im not aware of what devices/variants this will boot on or face issues with.
