The main visible feature is that it replaces "Android system recovery 3E" and CWM 6.0.2 with 6.0.3 (slightly different interface with more features and the broken adb-sideload mode moved out of the way).
It also has an optional variant with softkeys as an alternative to the volume+power commands.
Everything else is behind the scenes or technical, like the different schedulers (which in my opinion are in practice mostly equivalent)...

Sure

LOL. Ofc. for 4.2, but shine911 will add support for 4.3 roms.

I hope you know what you're doing as you can't "overclock a ROM" but the cpu only
Regarding recommendations I can't help though as I don't know those roms.
Swyped from my HTC Wildfire (Buzz)
I think, Sympfinity is good.

I already try symp kernel but the wifi don't work after flash it.Did anyone have the nfinity kernel and can upload it? I never try it .Somebody say that the best kernel for ics but i don't found this kernel.

Isn't the stock kernel that comes with cm9 arco's nfinity? Just reflash the rom to get the old kernel back, which is also overclockable.

seems like the WIFI of ErwinP:'s ICS build works if I'm not mistaken (don't know what kernel it has, though)
nFinity: arco has put flashable zips into this post a while ago - don't know if it's most current version though: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1015532
There's also this one which you could try (seen it in many threads): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=798471

Do you have a link to Embryo 7 that works for T989? All i found on our forum is 6.11. I found and downloaded 7 from the skyrocket forum but it wouldnt boot, even after flashing tiberious.
Embryo 7 is only the att skyrocket forums, so if you flash that ROM you would need a tmobile radio and a t989 kernel for our phone if you want you can grab it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2275630 and im sure @soupysoup would be happy to help if you have anymore questions about the ROM as if im correct he loves that ROM

What is the best CM 10.1 based ROM with great battery power management?

I'm still relatively new to the N7100 and would like to know which CM 10.1 based ROM is the easiest on the battery? I just found out that CM 10.1 by itself is worse than stock when it comes to battery charge longevity.
Thanks-
I didn't try all CM10.1 based ROM but the better for me is the Rootbox : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2217894
Flashed with N.E.A.K. kernel (Conservative Governor and Noop I/O), really Nice

Hi, I flashed NEAK and now my ext4 formatted external SDcard is read-banned.
Is there any setting I can toggle so I can read the SDcard again?
Thanks-
NEAK keeps on causing 'read-banned' on external SD even after wipes and factory reset.
Oh well. This kernel has so much potential but it just doesn't work for me.
I guess back to plain CM 10.1. Thanks anyway.

Unfortunately I can't use FAT32. I have a Linux OS image that is bigger than 4GB and I'm using ext4.
This is an odd limitation on the kernel. I already tried factory reset, and even installing RootBox then NEAK. Whenever NEAK gets installed, that's when the read-banned takes effect.
I would say the best from my experience would be Slimbean ROM coupled with neak Kernel. By default its the lightest and weighs in at 98MB and you can flash the add on yourself from their website. And one of the other things I love about it is that there's barely any wake locks occuring.

Cannot install any rom!

So i have decided to try some roms. I started with alliance rom. Downloaded rom customiser selected wipe options and the phone just stucks in samsung logo. Also tried to flash straight from philz but nothing changed. Tried zoot script, nothing changed, stucked to samsung logo for ever. I have restored with dmc3 and flashed philz recovery again and the su apps. So i continue with another rom. I have downloaded paranoid android rom put it on sd, factory reseted then tried to install paranoid. It tried to install when it throwed a set_perm some files changed status 7 error. I am very confused, it seems that my phone has a mechanism that it does not allow me to flash any rom!!! Please help!!!!

I see...then u hv no choice but stick with samsung stock rom. Isn't the bad choice if you stick with samsung stock rom since it give you more superior in terms of battery life...beutiful and useful widget...useful spen festures . My personal opinion, pure vanila rom or any other aokp just for the devices less of power or lower spec. Note2 having good hardware spec which is give you buttery smooth and good responsive performance on par with cm10 based rom even loaded with sammy stock rom. A lot of mods, themes and simplistic control and xposed also provide huge customization feature on stock sammy rom. Cm 10,aokp and aosp is very good base rom as well but just too boring for myself.

I know it's stock. His first part of the question was what the best kernel for stock 4.3 was. Currently it is the stock kernel because of the diverse issues other kernels still have and I just wanted to point out that trying to get some new features through custom kernels (like the knock on function from G2) and tweaking them is not worth loosing such an important functionality like GPS or any of the other features for that matter.
Probably in a couple of days/weeks kernels like Perseus etc. could be fixed and working stable on 4.3, 4.4 ROM's so the suggestion is to wait for this to happen.

Well I m on 4.3 custom stock ROM, with devil kernel.
My gps is working just fine.
1 thing I notice, when I on gps, it won't find signal direct. It will find signal only when we open apps which need a gps signal. In 5 secs, gps locked and function well.
