[Q] REPAIR HELP NEEDED: Knackered ccd in rear facing camera - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there,
I've a couple of blue spots appeared in my photos, so I'm assuming the CCD is damaged.
Are there any walkthroughts for replacing the CCD, and can anyone recommend a good UK or Europe based source.
The blue spots are at sort of 2 o'clock and 7.30 o'clock on the attached picture - taken with my thumb over the lens cover, so it's not lens flare!

As an afterthought:
Does anyone know if the above is likely to be dust on the sensor or dead CCD pixels?

That may be a just a dust speck on or inside the lens. You should send to the repair center to get it removed.

Htc Desire Thermal images :D

Was playing around with an IR-thermal camera at work while my Desire was on charging. So next logical thing happened: I took a few pictures and thought of sharing them with you
(i just noticed that Date on images is wrong. This is because camera was set up wrong)
First up, front view. Using CM7 with LauncherPro atm.

Display (AMOLED) off
Back view. Note that i use a silicon cover that covers entire back, minus a small rectangular area around the usb port. Apparently this cover shields much of IR.
And finally, my rather cold coffee because i was too busy taking pictures of my phone
wow, very interesting, there would be much more red spots on my desire lol

Weird thing on lens

I just noticed that a weird purple/pink blotch of colour appears on my camera lens when I digitally zoom in.
I thought it was dust but even after vigorously wipe the lens it still stays there

Camera lens scratch.
Try anothe camera app to be sure.
What should I do?
Nothing you can do.
Probably a laser burn, did you use your phone as camera/flashlight on a location with lasers like a disco or anything?.

[Q] Screen glitch?

Hi guys, today i noticed something while scrolling on my tablet. A reddish smudge on the screen, even when i rotate the screen it's in the same spot, but only it seems that that part of the screen has started showing black as red. Do you have any experience with this?

Thats a permanent damage to the backlight plate. No fix for it sorry.
Use your warranty before it expires. That's exactly what mine did, except it was 4 pink dots. Warrantied and got a brand new one, without the touchscreen problems that the previous one had.
I have same problem but I bought in MELBOURNE last September therefore no chance for replacement. ⊙▽⊙

Sorry for my bad english, i'm french
Thank you for you answers
Just put it in a bowl of rice it will suck all the moisture. Or you can put the phone on sun but don't keep it there for too long.
I don't think that it's moisture, on my device I have a similar look on the camera lens.
I'd say there is a coating, which gets rub off after a while. Nothing you can do besides to get a new backcover, or remove the coating all together.
