Yes it does, that coil in the middle is what makes wireless charging possible.

i seen some were that the lg g pro is equiped to do wirless charging? It did not come with the base for it or anything, was wondering if that was true or not. I have a base that came with the nokia 920, would love it if i could use wireless charging on my new phone. Thanks for any one that can answer this question.
You have to buy the $50 Quick Cover Folio case: it comes with a new backcover that is compatible with wireless chargers.

Maybe the first LGOG Pros didn't originally support wireless charging and they changed that later on. In any case, I stand corrected.
k cool good to know, i just got mine the other day. one thing though why didnt it come with the charger for it. When i bought the nokia 920 it came with the wireless charging bad with it? hope i got the latest version that is cool to know though. thanks everyone for the replies.

The original Korean version has 2 batteries included therefor it needs separate Quich Cover with wireless charging support. AT&T E980 though has 1 battery but supports wireless charging with stock cover
yep tried it this morning and it worked. kinda sucks though it didn't come with charging pad. Nokia 920 dose.
I have a hp touchstone for touchpad. Can I use it for OGP?Noway?

I think so. You need a high output wireless charger or charging will be slow.

The Optimus G Pro supports the Qi standard for wireless charging. The Touchstone docks do not use the Qi standard.

You are right but tell me is it true that using wireless charging to reduce battery life? The lider Huawei said about it and does not recommend to use wireless chargings.

Not sure if that's true, but wireless charging does seem to occur at a slower rate which should be better for battery health overall.

I agree with you, bro ))). I have read that information "The lider Huawei said about it and does not recommend to use wireless chargings" from one Russian site and I think it is true because many people supposes same. I think the wireless charging reduces battery life.
Hello XDA Friends,
I have LG OGP e988 in India. I just don't seems to get this: " Does this phone have build in wireless charging coil in back cover or I have to buy separate cover for the wireless charging purpose ?
Also,
Will the Wireless charger from nokia work with this device ?
Thanks in advance.

It does have wireless charging built in the back cover...if you open the back you'll see some 3-4 pins and a circular thing in centre. But not sure if Nokia charger would work but in logical terms it should work.

Why they didn't mention anywhere on Box ?
Are these pins for NFC ?
Please someone post backcover inside photos.
I can confirm that wireless charging works by default in the international version. I am using the original LG WCP-300 and also use NFS stickers in the car to wireless charge while driving. As soon InI plug into my cradle it recognized car mode and automatically charges wirelessly.
E988 HK version.

The Indian version does not have wireless charging 'built in'... there are no pins on the inside of the back cover, it is just a plastic case.. Wireless charging is built in only in the at&t version and I think the HK version
If you want to get wireless charging on the Indian version you will have to buy the quick cover.. the quick cover back replaces the original plastic back of the phone and it has the wireless charging pins.. But downside is you will have to keep the quick cover always on

But the main question is lg selling no accessories in india.
Any link to buy one if available.
Thus device almost seems dead in terms of accessories. Lg not even sell batteries online.

The Note 10.1 2014 Edition doesn't support wireless charging.
I know. Thats the reason why I opened this thread in the accessories forum.

If you know it does not why would you start a thread? It makes no sense. It does not have a removable battery cover so there is no way to add wireless charging without hardware modifications.

Ok, thats new for me. But there is one chance. There could be a case with qi Receiver and usb connector or if it has pins for a docking station then with connection to them.

Have you popped the back cover off to see if the pins are there?
If they are then a modded qi receiver would work great.
I do not own the Note 10.1. Thats the reason why I'm asking dumb questions.
For the Note 8 someone added a Qi Receiver with USB connector and hide it under a case.

He is not talking about taking the back cover off. He is talking about a case that has a plug that goes into the existing charge port of the tablet and there is a wireless charging coil within the case itself.
No, I have not seen any.
Yes, I do want one.
Does the Note 10.1 2014 has Connectors for a Docking Station? If yes, this would be an option to realize it without using an usb connector.

It does not have docking pins.
I, too, would love to add wireless charging capabilities to the Note.
I read a story on the iQi Mobile - Seamless Wireless Charging For iPhone and tried to find a similar product for micro usb ports. I came across a possible alternative but don't have any experience with the website/seller of the product.
(sorry, can't post links yet, remove spaces or search Google for "netimes Qi Standard Universal Wireless Charging Adapter for Samsung Micro-USB Connector")
www .netimes.com/shop/qi-standard-universal-wireless-charging-adapter-for-samsung-microusb-connector-p-4963 .html
Do you guys think something like this would work?
One disadvantage would be that you would have to unplug the cable to use a regular charging cable, but I think I could live with that.
in my opinion this seems legit and ok.
Of course it's annoying to remove the cable everytime, but for having wireless charging
l already thought about this on my HTC Eo 3D but did not want to spend too much money on that since it is no Must-have in my opinion.

www .amazon.com/Walsontop-Wireless-Platform-Charging-Compatible/dp/B00LC6WGB2 There are still people looking for the holy grail. "Human satisfaction.
you can attach a receiving case to the note 4, so why not the note 10.1 (2014) ?
As Qi supports 15 instead of 5 Watt (since 06/2015), we only need to wait for the next tablet generation. I think in the future we will see Qi on much more tablets.

i think you are looking for this
No, because the quality is poor and it is qi 1.0. I think at the moment there are no qi receiver supporting qi 1.1?! And of course it would be much nicer to have a receiver built-in or under the battery cover.
Am I the only one that doesn't like qi charging? I have it and a pad for my nexus 5 and 7fhd and just don't use it that often. I use my phone often when it's on the charger and qi is much slower than the wire. I just can't see using it
Thats because you're using it wrong. I have 4 Qi pads and they are placed everywhere I stay for a longer time like bed, desk, couch, etc. By that its the most comfortable charging.
And if fast charging is the only reason you need to know that Qi released Version 1.1 with 15 watts (same speed as USB 3.0). But it seems Samsung bought exclusive rights at the moment (Note 5), so we need to wait for other devices supporting it. But I do not miss it.
Hi All,
Am wondering whether this stock cover will Wireless Charge? See, www[dot]dropbox[dot]com/s/y5jybkq8x3n9pwd/2014-12-17%2015.14.09.jpg?dl=0

Does it look like it will? Was bought from a Portugal retailer, FNAC.pt

If it is the international model D855, it should have wireless charging (qi standard) right out of the box
Just checked yup, it's the D855 model, great news thanks
The stock phone does wirelss charging, but there are two versions of the official LG case/cover. Only the more expensive one does wireless charging - the coil is in the back plate.
yes. that back plate, does have wireless charging

Was it just a piece of double sided tape and a cap from a water bottle (dasani, evian, etc..)? Cause that's what I used.
Looks Awesome. But I would be afraid the charging pins would not line up.
