I am using android revolution hd 29.I am using this list to free more ram and make the rom more stable and run more smoothly and faster.
So here is my list from pictures taken from mobile go....Say thanks if you like.....
P.s My phones setup is very comfortable for me and its settings...It has not given me any fcs because i dont delete any .apk but i only add a dot in any app i dont want to use.
Question how does a list free more ram >>> Is something missing from the OP .
By adding a dot ??? it reads as you are adding a dot in front of each apk .
Confused .

you add a dot at the end of each app you dont want to use...so its like the file it cannot be read....

Surely Titanium Backup Pro and freeze is an easier way .
Its far far cheaper than the Wondershare Mobile Go .
Same dot or even delete can be used by any root file manager .
Even the free Android Commander can be used .
List is useful anyway thank you for that .

Most of your apps listed here I've already deleted them and now my system rom is only 1.58 gb (was around 1.70 gb before) and around 738 mb free (was around 800+ mb before).
And as far as I can see you only rendered the files unreadable. If you really want to get rid of those bloatware (and free system resources) then just delete them permanently that way you'll be able to use the space those apk's have occupied.
And I think you're using a deodexed rom? I don't see any .odex files in there cause if you do you need to disable those too. So edit your first post and advice that it should only be used by deodexed rom users.

no i really dont want to do that because with some apk you can remove them easily with no fcs at all, but some others like logsprovider.apk (example), you will get fcs....its really better to just rename it.....the space you will accumulate from that is very small compared to what we are trying to acomplish (ram).

Well I deleted them all and I don't experience any fc's at all. Of course I just used rom cleaner to delete them all (and a bloatware remover script by AndiP) so it avoided those important apk's including that logsprovider apk.

I still sent you the script. Just use it with caution as I'm not responsible if you delete the apk's you need. Make sure to do a nandroid backup to be safe.

thank you....i will give it a try....:good:
Please read up on rom cleaner in patrics83's thread.. you can add or remove system apps you want to safe or delete and it's actually quite easy.
But read the thread.if you are a newbie, then just flash the script and then push the apk's you need back into your system/app folder with a root explorer, set permissions and reboot..
Does this really work ? Will it cause me any trouble ? Is there an easy / safe way of doing this…

Thank you very much, this will be very useful for me.
I usually remove the unwanted apks manually before flashing, this will save a lot of time and messing.
is it possible if i modify the script so i get to keep some apps, i.e. touchwiz?
That's what I'll be doing, I use gmail so il just delete that line from the script.
Sure you can...

Yes it is posible to select only the apps that you want to remove, but you have to be careful as some apps depend on others to work correctly.

Hello there,
Good idea regarding getting rid of some of the samsung bloatware but I dont think you should be deleting the 'googleframework.apk' as doing so will disable the google login and therefore access to your calender/email/tasks and the market will be disabled too...
It also deletes your google contacts and calendar sync, hmm serves me right for not checking exactly what is being deleted but I think you should post a warning on the first post !

It is easier to freeze the apps you don`t want in Root uninstaller

ADB is difficult for a lot of users, but the script is extremely useful!
Any other way to do it, like an apk perhaps???

I found a supposed "safe" list of stock apps to delete and foolishly started firing them in the bin only to find that the messaging icon had not only vanished from the home tray but the option to replace it with a new shortcut had too.
I guess one of the apps deleted was responsible for that. Can any of you boffins figure out which i need and where to get it? The dangers of rooting sigh.......
I use handicant messages so perhaps a 3rd party applications could suffice. Next time either make a nandroid backup or use titanium pro.

You would always make a backup before you uninstall lol.
But I'll look through my apps stuff and find something about it.

Thanks for replying but im sorry. Maybe im a noob. I did make a nandroid but a couple of months ago and i wanted my system the way it was the other day. Dont know how to use ftfs or how they would particularly apply here. If i was to extract a copy of the current system id still be missing the messaging app wouldnt i? Is there not simpler apk method maybe or something that doesnt involve code/commands.
Just go on the market and download go sms or handcent

NoBloat from the Market
It creates backups (if you want) und you can save the selected apps as a list and everytime you reflash a new rom, NoBloat detects these apps and you can instantly delete these marked apps with one click
It's a bit easier than Titanium Backup.

ES File Explorer is a great app too. You can simply uninstall system apks.
Just a little screenshot to prove my word. (It's in french)
.
+1 on Titanium Backup and ES File Explorer.
SystemCleanup is a perfect choice for this

I had this rom at one time, I want to only use it to take out the systemui.apk and copy it to my current ROM, stock setup. Currently I have systemui.apk for NXT LE and I can do the pull down and slide the menu options back and forth and they all work perfect, but now I want to try out X-Gamer and found the download link removed.
See here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2274484
So if anyone should happen to have the rom can you send me a link for just the systemui.apk? Or the whole rom if you dont want to extract that would be great too. Thank you in advance.
Anyone?

That rom have some "illegal" apps in it, so it was deleted in few days after released.
I had that rom in pc, but unfortunatelly, i had to do clean-up due low hard-disk space.
Maybe @smokerman have it still, he made a video review of it.
But systemUI from that rom looks familiars, if i manage to recall where did i see it, i'll post it here

Tell me first how to extract it from my phone?
If you are rooted you have 2 ways.-
- You can export it using some app like (App Extractor, SDMaid, Titanium Backup...)
- Or use the file browser to check '/data/app', or '/system/app', or '/system/priv-app' dirctories. It should installed as a system app, so should be on '/system /...'.
Note: if it has extra files/folders like libs, or similar, better zip the entire app folder, and it to me.
