I am very new to this so I will need some help, I have a LG G pro that is rooted, it is on the CWM 6.0.3.8 and I want to put cyanogenmod 10.2 on it. I downloaded the file and put it on my sd card but everytime I go into the boot menu and select install zip from sd card I get the following errors read back to me,
unknown volume for path [/sdcard/]
cant mount /sdcard/
unknown volume for path [/sdcard/clockworkmod/.recovery_version]
the only reason I rooted my phone was to put cm 10.2 on it. can someone please tell me what to do?

Ok so after million years I finally rooted my 2.2 phone,
I got the Crysis theme, renamed it to update and put it on my phone via debugging usb , now im suppose to go to recovery mode , so I did once I get there its all blue writing (in the video it was orange) and its <3e> , all the other videos were in Clockwork recovery, I have it and I "FLASHED" it but w.e I do its always in the default recovery.
I select update sdcard .zip ( or something like that) once I select it I get an error saying
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborte
I looked on the forums already for this problem , so I found it and it send me to this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833423
where I downloaded the update and 3e recovery manager, but I have no idea what to do with it I installed it and put it on my sd card, flashed but im still in the same recovery getting the same error, help please
Im using Samsung Galaxy I9000 (obv)
Thank you
3e recovery will give you signature verification errors. You should be able to get 2e recovery following this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108
For the link provided did you place the files on the internal storage and not the actually internal sd card?
The post you send me its way too confusing for me :/ I dont think I'll be able to do that by my self and I put the files via the debugging system, it puts them on internal memory but when I go to "Files" folder its ther
Sorry if my post was confusing. Sounds from what you are telling me that you are actually putting those files into the internal sd card. You need an app like root explorer or something that will allow you rw to the actual internal phone storage. Once you get access to the internal storage I would strongly recommend you backup your efs folder before you do anything else.
Hello,
i wanted to flash Cyanogenmod on my Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. If I want to install a zip from sdcard, Clockworkmod says can't mount /sdcard.
What's wrong?
Thank you!
More info. Is your bootloader unlock, are you on 2.3.4 firmware, is it the correct cm zip folder? Lots of information missing. Sorry cant help you.
The Firmware version has been 2.3.4 i think. The zip file was placed in the root of my sd card. I have done the following steps:
1. I have unlocked the bootloader
2. I have flashed the boot.img from the cyanogenmod zip file with fastboot.
3. Then in clockworkmod-based recovery I was not able to choose a zip file on my sd card because the message 'can't mount E:/sdcard appeared.
I have not rooted my phone before doing the steps, maybe this was the mistake?

Root has nothing to do with the problems your having. What concerns me is why your sd card isnt mounting when it already should.
I've successfully managed to flash 2 roms to my HTC one m8 phone in the past, but now it seems I have a problem: I'm trying to install a zipped rom stored on my 64gb micro sd card, using PhilzTouch 6.57.8 , but I can't get install a zip from sd-ext. the message: /storage/sdcard1: Idle-Unmounted keeps appearing. I also cannot reboot my phone into the previous rom as i cleaned it in preparation to install a new one. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have no idea what to do
Cant even mount sd-ext as I get 'E:Error mounting /sd-ext!'
Flash TWRP, mount storage, copy rom, flash rom......done
I don't know what happened, but entering in recovery and trying to install a zip from SD I get error E:can't mount /sd card. I tried some reboot but nothing changes. There is a way to backup the SD a and then recover phone? Thank you.
Hello,
I need someone to help me make my phone work again.
here are all the steps I did before:
1- I downloaded HTC all in one kit
2- I unlocked my bootloader
3- I installed TWRP from HTC all in one kit
4- I downloaded this ROM : htc_m8_generic/da67a982c7dbf1dd45f8e34735eb591ac8d56b11.OTA_M8_UL_M60_STOCK_UI_MR_Google_WWE_5.07.1700.6-4.04.1700.10_release_454832.zip
first of all, when I booted to my current OS and I connect my phone to computer, the Internal storage not 16 GB anymore !! it's 10 GB and not a single folder inside, and I can't write anything there..!!
anyway I copied that ROM to my SD card and booted to TWRP recovery, I press Install and choose my zip file from my SD card and swipe to install ..I get this error:
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata at /data: Device or resource busy unkown command
I wiped everything and now I can't boot to my OS it's not there..so I want to install the ROM I mentioned above.
Few doubts :
1- does it or doesn't matter to be rooted to install that ROM through TWRP ?
2- does it matter to be S-OFF ?
3- does it matter if the zip file on SD Card or internal storage ?
4- does it matter if I'm not using the last TWRP version ?
I need help correct me if I'm wrong..
