I think you do not know the name 'HoHoo'
Actually 'Hohoo' is famous film maker in Korea.
Film is not expensive but has good quality.
I used the SGP clear crystal screen protector with SGP Neo Hybrid.
It was ok. but when i grip the phone, case lifts film's edge.
I am always intersted in 9H screen protector.
So i checked many brand. and my friend recommended this brand.
i gave a try. $13.6 free shipping. good price half as SGP Glas.
It fits perfectly, bubble free and I got no problem of lifting film's edge with Neo Hybrid case.
No, I am not a seller and I am not working at this company.
Can you post a link to the website you got it from?

I call bs on this product. Film is not 9h, glass is not unbreakable/shatter-proof. There is no material possible which has all the properties claimed by the seller of this product.

0.33mm is pretty thick for PET film. Was your screen protector flexible or rigid like glass?
Not much flexible.
I think it protects enough.
And this is not PET Film. This is kind of Acryl.

None of those other products claim to be shatterproof. In fact they instruct you to be very careful when applying them, so as not to chip or shatter the edges.
I call bs on any product which claims to both be 9h hardness, and shatterproof. Even perfectly tempered glass is barely 9h (more like 8.5), acrylic certainly is not. As hardness increases, so does brittleness, so there is just no material which is 9h and shatter-proof. 9h is harder than topaz, emerald, quartz and spinel. Do you really think you can take the edge of an acrylic screen protector and scratch a topaz with it?
Now, maybe the name of the model is 9h, and they are not claiming that the product has a hardness of 9h on the Mohs scale, but that is just blatant deception tactics, and any company who engages in such practices certainly gets none of my money, no matter the quality of their product.

Just in the market for a new screen protector and wanted some input from you guys.
So what is the current screen protector that you guys are rocking on your S3?
Also, how do screen protectors stack up to each other?
(Zagg vs Ghost Armor vs Mercury vs Spigen vs Military Shield and others)
Spigen Curved Crystal! Its a dry install protector thats almost edge to edge maybe a few mm's short, but it definitely sticks on the edges. Feels and looks like there as if nothing on the screen. Only complaint is that is does scratch somewhat easily but whatever. Also two protectors come in each pack.
I always used clear-coat on my devices. Love their products and customers support. Just bought me some xtreme guards and love it also.. very cheap and works awesome.

also using the sgp curved crystal with a modello case. i bought it knowing about the scratching and denting issues and have been completely satisfied with it. was using a bestskinsever wet application before and don't know if i'd ever be able to go back. the drag drives me nuts.
any idea of what may a good matte screen protector that goes all the way to the edges? most i've found are all too small
quick tip dont buy the £4 ones from sainsburys they dont cover the full screen and make the touchscreen unresponsive

these are the three I like.
skinplayer 3D mask film for edge to edge coverage, once on you don't notice it.
fonemax glass screen protector
mercury edge to edge protector with colour boarder.
I use Vikuiti. It's less well-known, but the people who've seen often don't notice I even have a protector on, until I point it out to them. It doesn't cover the whole front, and is pretty much made to fit the width of the screen, and length of the phone. Haven't found the need to use any other brand of protectors so far :good:
I would suggest Spigen Ultra Crystal! Good protection, scratch resistance, fit to any case!..
Hands down Steinhill ultra crystal...
It's the best, it's thick but not to thick, feels like glass, smooth as can be.. They are just the best I tried all other protectors nothing comes close.... I don't buy any other for my phones..
I bought a bunch from DealExtreme. They are extremely cheap and high quality. Since most people in manufacturing in China nowadays, possibly the ones I got are the exact same ones sold by brand names for 100x more.

I bought 3 different types in total. illumishield gives me 0 problem.
+1 on Illumishield.
XtremeGuard on mine, went on almost flawlessly for a wet install. Really great protection, great prices, I even have one on my DNA!
Is the illumishield better than the spigen? And Tempered glass is it really worth it?
zagg has wet apply projectors for us now. they are the best I have used so far. I have an I blason on the way to try out and I'm using the horrible Asus protector right now. :-\ tempted to put a zagg on top of an iblason haha
edit: In a moment of mental incapacity I had installed the Asus protector improperly so I should give it more credit though mine did come with a dented edge and these are not my preferred style they are probably OK for most people.

Is the iblason tempered glass really worth the 20$ plus shipping?
I'm using the SUPCASE Ultra Clear Series and it is such a tight fit on the tablet you wouldn't even know it was there (ZERO room for error when aligning, but very forgiving on re-positioning too). The only thing that makes it stand out is the single cutout for the front camera. Two pack on Amazon was around 10$ with free prime 2 day shipping. Best deal I've found
Edit: From reading the packaging, they claim that the screen protector is a tight 0.3mm fit on the tablet.

for me yes it is, i love tempered glass screen protectors. i have one for my note 2 as well.
if you have used other screen protectors, like zagg/ect, and like them, it might not be worth it to you. ive never liked zagg/ect over tempered glass protectors.
luckily i got mine for $20 shipped($15+$5), so i saved $5 at least before they raised the price.
The i-blason is definitely worth it. You get the 1 year warranty against pretty much anything including scratches and bubbles. I already had to use it due to a spot on my protector that refuses to lay flat on my screen. I just sent them a picture of the area and they sent a replacement out straight away. Great customer service.

I hate wet apply screen protectors. They always have a tacky feel and they are never flawless.
I'm using the Official Asus ones and they're nice but they must have some issues at the factory. I've been through 2 now and both have had dents that cause it to raise and bubble. My second one is at the bottom and small, so Im keeping it.
The Spigen is very high quality and considered the best. Amazon had these for $12 which is a steal. I never used the glass ones but I'd imagine they would be closer to a natural feel compared to plastic ones.
I prefer the Matte ones myself. The only matte one that seemed like quality is the Official Asus ones. I bought another brand of Mattes (3pack) that have 3 cutouts and reportedly horrible from Amazon for super cheap ($3 shipped) to use as backup.
I would agree with post #2. The Supcase SP looked very nice too.
Use the hinge method when installing quality protectors because the cut leaves no room for error. I use painters tape on the sides for a hinge. Rip and squeegee.

I've used Spigen Ultra Clear on my old Galaxy S2 and my family's Galaxy S4s. I use Rearth Ringbo Ultra Clear on my old Nexus 7, Nexus 4, and new Nexus 7. I don't really much of a difference (or feel) between both brands. The Rearth one gives you 3 for about $5 on Amazon. Pretty cheap, works just as great, and it doesn't leave a residue like some other cheap brands.
EDIT: Just wanted to point out, both Spigen and Rearth SP has a hardness of 3H. Getting scratches on both will be pretty normal due to the hardness of the material. Unavoidable, but better that than your actual glass (which I think has a hardness of 8H).
Is iblason the only company right now that makes a tempered glass screen protector for the new nexus 7? Just wondering since shipping it to Canada is like 40$ all together and i don't think its worth it
I use Ghost Armor on all of my devices! They haven't been available for the N7 FHD, but I checked tonight and they finally are! Ordered tonight, so I should receive it next week. Can't wait!! They are tyne best option in my opinion!!

Curious to see how many G3 owners are using a screen protector or planning to use a screen protector.
I stopped using one on my Nexus 4 and was very happy with it. Over 1 year of use without a screen protector and the screen was flawless. However, I've had my Nexus 5 for about 6 months now without a screen protector and my screen now has 2 deep scratches (you can feel them with your finger and see them in just about any lighting).
Because of my experience with the Nexus 5 screen I'm back to considering going the screen protector route again. However, I'm curious to see what others are thinking regarding the issue.
I should also mention that it is important to me that a screen protector works with a case. I already ordered a TPU case which I plan to use with the phone. Do those glass screen protectors typically work with TPU cases?
Yes and the Spigen nano tempered glass is by far my favorite one.

No problem, I have always enjoyed tempered glass. I have yet to have a case where it didn't fit. Since the Spigen nano glass is very thin and it has rounded bezels you won't notice it at all. It also fits almost with maybe < .5mm gap on the left and right side. I had an op with my F400 showing the fit with some cases.

I personally dislike the look and extra bulk of cases as well as screen protectors.
No worries about hijacking guys. I'm trying to learn what I can about protective options for this phone anyway.
I gave up on screen protectors a while back but I do not want the G3's screen to end up with the same scratches my Nexus 5 did. I've never tried using a tempered glass screen protector but I've heard great things about them.
I think I'll follow your recommendation and order the Spigen Nano protector tomorrow. I love the idea of having a screen protector that is bubble free. The bubbles and raised edges are why I gave up on screen protectors previously. I imagine the tempered glass one will solve those issues.
EDIT: Is this the Spigen protector you were talking about? $30 seems steep. How long does it last?

Just ordered that Spigen Glass.tR Nano tempered glass protector. It's pricy and you only get one so I really hope I don't screw up the installation.
I may change my mind and get a glass protector. They're a lot thinner than they were last time I checked (years ago). The Joto one looks good spec wise. It's the thinnest I've seen at .2mm, assuming they didn't just round it down.

Edit: Actually the i-Blason is just as thin and half the price. It's only 8H compared to 9H with the Joto. Not sure if that difference really will matter. It also doesn't state that it's rounded.

Bumping this now that more people are receiving their phones. I got the Spigen glass protector installed. Yes i do use screen protectors.
I ordered 10 screen protectors from eBay for €6,- (around $8,-)
Screen protectors will not protect your screen from cracks if you drop your phone on your screen.
But they prevent scratches like a boss.
You might find ones that protect your screen from cracks, but they will cost you a lot.
And they will add height and they might disturb the responsiveness from of your touchscreen.
The cheap ones will do just fine, they might take scratches more easily than the ones that cost $10.
But if you got a scratch on your screen protector you want to change it anyway (i am the type of person that gets irritated and annoyed by scratches on my beautiful screen).
So why spend a lot of money on something that you will change every few months anyway? You should not
Never used a screen protector, never had a screen get scratched. No plans to start.
I'll be using one from now. Phone took a fall from a foot off the ground. Landed screen down and shattered :crying: The screen on the G3 seems incredibly fragile. Ordered the Spigen GLAS.tR today hoping it may help prevent this on my replacement.

I use regular screen protectors. I tend to change them every 3 weeks or so.
I've bought some cheap ones from ebay as well as the xtremeguard ones (not the HD one you linked). Also note there's always an 85-90% coupon for xtremeguard products. I've recently purchased "HD" non-glass and "fingerprint resistant" non-glass ones from aliexpress which should arrive soon.
If I were to offer you advice, grab a few different kinds of cheap ones. I've found the 5pack ones I bought for around $4-5 with shipping are not bad at all.

With my old phones I never believed in using cases or screen protectors. With my Oneplus I'm a little more careful I suppose.
I change them so often because I have a whole bunch, some of which I haven't tried yet (regular, tempered, HD, anti-fingerprint, etc) and the slightest blemish or anything drives me nuts.

For me they like the actual screen which is good. I got tired of that rubbery feeling and plus bubbles and peeling. I find the glass to be easier application. Zero bubbles. Try one, if you don't like, go back to the other. No biggie
I have used both the xtremeguard screen protectors on my previous phones and now on my One I got their Spartan Shield tempered glass. Overall, I like the glass protector. It's a little thicker at .40mm, but I don't have any issues with touch sensitivity. Also, it fits the unit very well. I had another tg protector I purchased off eBay, and while it was slightly thinner at .3mm, it didn't fit the screen as well.
Here's the one caveat with purchasing from xtremeguard, it takes a long time to get their products. I live in the next state over from where they ship and it took over a week for me to get it. Also, their packaging is rather minimalistic and the first protector arrived cracked. Same thing happened to a friend with his tg protector. Apparently, they don't have any expedited shipping options.
Never had any issues with their regular screen protectors. Can beat them for the price.
Hope this helps.

I applied my Orzly tempered glass screen protector in a steamed up bathroom to prevent dust.... Applied pretty easy. Had to do one quick lift to readjust but am real happy with the look and feel. No dust or bubbles. Doesn't seem to bother touch responsiveness either.... I would certainly recommend. Be carful with the install.... You only get one in the package.

I prefer Skinomi screen protectors. They are very good, and have a lifetime replacement warranty.
Skinomi!
So I've used the Orzly, Nilkin, and Rhino Shield protectors. The Rhino shield was an oil magnet and started to bubble/ peel ever so slightly after a while. The Nilkin wasn't nearly as smooth as the Orzly and scratched much easier. So i'd recommend going with the orzly.
So I've this one: https://oneplus.net/oneplus-premium-screen-protector in the Anti-Fingerprint version. That Anti-Fingerprint is not completely true, I can see fingerprints and other oily stuff on it. Also, that version tends to reflect much.
And I somehow got a scratch into it.
Is there someone out there who also has a screen protector, from a 3rd party? Can someone recommend one? I don't really want tempered glass.

Hi,
Try this from Orzly: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KQKATH8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It is a tempered glass one and it works great with cases. It doesn't say that it is oleophobic, but it cleans easier than the actual screen.
I will suggest mocolo glass. This is good for glass protector. http://glass4m.com/product/mocolo-premium-tempered-glass-screen-protector-for-oneplus-one/
The thread starter is asking for "regular" screen protectors, not (tempered) glass ( = like I did) ...
I am planning on using a case with the Note 7 when I get it, but all this speculations that Tempered Glass protectors aren't case friendly makes me think. I don't know which Film Screen protector to go with the Note 7 since I am not familiar with edge to edge protection for this curved screen device. I saw these, but don't know how good they are.
https://www.amazon.com/Protector-Sp...r=8-2&keywords=note+7+spigen+screen+protector
https://www.amazon.com/iCarez-Prote...r=8-9&keywords=note+7+edge+to+edge+protection

I love tempered glass protectors. Don't use cases on my phones though. Find them kinda useless. Might make an exception for this cause the back is now glass too. Waiting for Tempered glass protector for the back and front. Why make the phone more bulky.

It appears that is not an edge to edge or curved type. Which explains a lot. I'm searching for something curved.
I've always preferred glass in combination with a case but I've heard from people with the S7 Edge that it is tricky with the curved screen. Hoping it won't be as bad for the Note 7 as it's not as curved.
Anybody got any experience with S7 Edge in combination with a glass protector and case and maybe suggestions?
Here's an article from phonearena that might be helpful as well. I haven't order one yet, hoping for some more tips but will let you guys know when I have + experiences!
None for me, prefer naked with this beauty!

I love tempered glass protectors. Don't use cases on my phones though. Find them kinda useless. Might make an exception for this cause the back is now glass too. Waiting for Tempered glass protector for the back and front. Why make the phone more bulky.

Then don't get a bulky case...
I prefer the TPU minimalist ones that will save my corners and back glass but that's about it. I ordered a VSR case for this phone but usually go with Cruzerlite. Barely adds any thickness and improves grip.

You sir live a dangerous life. I could never run around with a naked phone. Even my BB Bolds had a screen protector and TPU case haha
Haha, well I might have a case for special occasions!
A lot of people want premium materials alu glass carbon whatever, and then they cover it with plastic cases ,tpu and all these things..
I am happy to say that I haven't had a screen protector on my last 2 galaxy phones. No scratches or cracks but I do have a thin case.

I took a gamble and order the Pleson screen protectors....

I got them yesterday and they TPU based as Amazon description doesn't mention that exactly. Will see how this work with the screen and s-pen when I get the phone.
I will be using this case, so hopefully it clears on the edges...

Better get them for the back too, the ones at tmobile store look very badly scraped, not sure how that is with gorilla glass 5, but doesn't look like the back is doing its job.

I don't have an issue with the back glass on my Note 5, though its always been inside a case.
See back of Note 7 on bottom.
