Has anyone gotten the ogpro to work on WIND or Mobilicity in Canada? Did it work out of the box or did it require modification? Is there a difference in functionality between the at&t and the international versions? I know they both work on the AWS 1700/2100 so it seems like it should, but I don't want to buy it and have it not work.

As far as I can tell the nitro hd is a Qualcomm snapdragon s3 phone using Qualcomm mdm9200.
In the galaxy s2 lte forum people have gotten a AWS to work by flashing modem firmware from Tmobile galaxy S2 and even the HTC AWS phone with a mdm9200. I am wondering if anyone tried doing the same on this phone since it also apparently features the Qualcomm mdm9200.
What is AWS?
AWS is the spectrum T-Mobile uses 1700mhz uplink, 2100 downlink
How useful will this really be considering T-mobile is moving toward supporting 1900?
Canadian carriers such as Wind and Mobilicity, where you get unlimited canada wide everything for only $35 a month
Just wondering if I unlock this device from tmobile , will it work on AT&T hspa network as well? I have an AT&T work account and I'd like the phone I buy to work on both networks, the specs seem compatible but I've seen different specs on a few sites.
I'm actually curious about the opposite (if a AT&T GS3 will work on TMo). I would love to have a red GS3.

that won't work unless you live in an area that is using the refarmed 850/1900 spectrum , AT&T phones don't support 1700 MHz which most of tmobile 4g runs on. Tmobile however has been releasing phones that support both the refarmed frequencies 850/1900 as well as traditional aws 1700/2100 so in theory the tmobile version should work on AT&T hspa if unlocked here is the FCC filing

Hi there,
It started with when I bought int. version N7100 from Amazon.com. I live in Canada and use WIND mobile. So I inserted my SIM and it didn't work! I sent Note 2 back to the seller, and get refunded soon. So, basically, I'm sort of noob here, and have a noob question. Sorry, but need your help.
Now, I want to give a try to purchase N7105 or SGH-T889V (from Mobilcity, cuz it is cheaper) version, and use it with my WIND sim card.
1) Will N7105 work with WIND AWS band right away or do I have to root and flash WIND modem for it?
2) Same question as in 1) but for Mobilcity Note 2 (but I guess it will work right away without any software modification. I want just to make sure).
3) After 3-4 months I'm moving to USA (more likely) or Europe (depending my job offer), and going to get sim card from some local carrier. Which model, N7105 or SGH-T889V, covers more network?
4) As far as I understand SGH-T889V fully supports what N7105 supports, but not vice versa, am I right?
If you want to use your Note 2 on Wind then the T889V is the one you want. It's also possible to flash a radio hack on the Bell/Rogers/Telus version to get AWS HSPA. However, the T889V does not have LTE officially.
For travelling, , 7105 will be your best bet in Europe as it will support every carrier there and you will get LTE if the carriers support it. The T889V will be better for the States as it supports AWS HSPA on Tmobile, however still no LTE.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
I saw on the internet people using N7105 with Bell, Telus, and Rogers with full LTE potential. And my question 1) still holds. Is it possible to do that? Even if it is possible, will it be same quality connection/performance as native (T889V) Note2?
But according wikipeadia, T889V supports some LTE bands. Maybe after flashing the modem, as you said, it will be compatible Bell/Rogers/Telus.
Now, I'm coming to conclusion that both of them work with almost all major North American carrier with full potential, while N7105 also is gonna support EU carriers. So, it is sort of N7105 > SGH-T889V, i.e. is N7105 way to go?
With all this talk on Verizon adding AWS, do our phones have this capability?
If I remember correctly, only the T-Mobile variant of the One has AWS capabilities.
See, here's the thing that threw me off. The S4 variant for Verizon is going to support AWS. Currently online, the S4 and One are both listed as supporting the same frequencies. Is there no chance we could see AWS turned on like the S4 with a future update?
No biggy to me either way, but I figure similar phones with similar chipsets and currently similar cell frequency support, could be possible.
I want to buy the G4 to use on ATT.
Is it possible to buy a model that is unlocked and unbloated to use on ATT? It must work with the LTE bands. Does the international version work?
If ATT introduces WiFi calling as promised this year, will I not benefit if not using the ATT model? How is WiFi calling supposed to work?
The International model will work and supports all AT&T bands, minus one, Band 30. Band 30 is the newest one and is supposed to go live this summer.
I don't think WiFi calling will work but I'm not positive on that.
