[Q] TWRP installation - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

Hi guys, yesterday I purchased my P6 and now I'm preparing to its customization.
This is my first post, so please sorry for questions that could be obvious for the more experienced.
I'm working on TWRP installation:I understood that I have to install TWRP_R01.zip first, then TWRP_R02.zip.
To install TWRP_R01.zip first I can use 1° method (CWM recovery); in the instruction I find:
- copy archive TWRP_R01 on your external sdcard ( storage ): can I copy the file on
an external usb disk?
- boot your device in CWM recovery: how to run this step? Is CWM already installed into P6?
Thanks.

Hi, just install TouchRecoveryInstaller-v1_01.apk from here. Then install and reboot in recovery from the application. Finally install TWRP_R02.zip from external_SD in CWMR.

vse
Perfect, can I install TWRP_R02.zip without installing TWRP_R01.zip?

You can try one of two things:
1. Download a ROM zip file, and install it through recovery using "adb sideload <zip file name>".
2. Download a ROM zip file, place it on your SD card, and install from the SD card in recovery.

Thanks. Sideload failed also. I've tried adb pushing files onto my SD but it still fails when I try to install them.

That usually means that your ADB drivers have not been set up properly. This might help you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979.

[Q] ( SOLVED) Please help. Can not flash Superu

Hi everybody,
I'm a newbie.
I tried to root my phone but just can not flash superu.
I flash TWRP ( 2.5.0.0) via ODIN sucessfully with a green Pass . Reboot phone to recovery and Hit System and TWRP asked me to swipe if i want to root my phone. I did and my phone reboot after some action performed by TWRP.
I checked with root check basic and it said Root access is not properly installed on this device. I tried to run TWRP manager apk. It said to run the apk phone need rooted. So I know the phone has not been rooted.
I did the following to see if I can correct the problem.
1)Reboot to TWRP recovery and flash CWM_Root_Superuser_3.1.3_Busybox zip file. No success.
2) flash another zip: su-3.0.5-efgh-signed. No sucess.
3) flash another zip: Update superU-1.51 : No success.
4) Flash ClockworkMod Touch Recovery 6.0.2.8 then try to run Install zip on SD card but CWTR return with an error "can not mount sd card "
Please help so I can root my phone. Thanks.

FOR STOCK ROM NO NEED TO UNCHECK
Yeah! ☺ Will be trying it later. Thanks for the link.
What about 'CWM Recovery' ?
If one succeeds with this TWRP and rooting, then I think one can change TWRP to CWM using flashify or Rashr, provided he/she should confirm that the 'CWM Recovery' will work on Lenovo A 7000 a with android 6.0 OS. But I do not know if the 'CWM' recovery thatwas used earlier when we were on android 5.0, will still work with android 6.0 or not. Can anybody confirm?
this is working men thanks:angel:

Use the stock rom found here to go back to factory settings using the stock marshmallow rom. Make sure that you flash using SP Flash Tool as instructed in the link. This will replace TWRP with stock recovery.
Afterwards, you can reinstall TWRP and root, etc.

I think you have copied the SuperSU-v71.zip in external storage and in TWRP you are searching in internal storage. If it is so the paste it in internal or change storage selection at the time of installing zip.
And paste the zip in root of the storage not in any folder.
As i can see this is your 1st post.
I think this will help you.
Mounting issue with TWRP
After switching sdcard as internal storage. The file manager only shows the ext. Sdcard so from where we can access the internal Sdcard to put that Supersu.zip.And the TWRP only mount only internal Sdcard. Not able to mount ext. Sdcard plz. Help!

It looks so simply but did you take a look to your rom zip? open with a zip explorer like winzip in /META-INF/com/google/android and here you must find this file

Probably a bad flashing and you are needing repari partitions, for that I recommend start from beginning again:
- flash miui rom for fastboot (unpack zip rom in your adb folder for better performance, connect device to pc into mode fastboot, be sure device be recogniced typing; fastboot devices then right click mouse and execute like admin over "flash all".
- then to install rom you can flash again twrp via fastboot typing any place adb folder and placing file recovery.img this folder; fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
- then go to recovery with hardware keys and flash supersu v.2.79

two things; I assume that trying to flash from extSD, if yes with file explorer of recovery copy to internal memory, maybe an issue to reading extSD, also you can to install a newer version of recovery 3.0.3.2 works sometimes for me and last here you have a reading page about install fastboot on mac (nightmare) http://www.stechguide.com/setup-adb-and-fastboot-on-mac-easy-step-by-step-guide/
