Hey guys.
I recently noticed a strange thing on my One VX. There are a lot of apps installed the phone that don't show up in the app drawer, for example, voice recorder, mirror, Polaris office, etc. But when I look in the installed apps list, I find them there.
Are you guys noticing this too on your phones or am I the only one?

At the initial stop screen on my htc one it asked Me for my skydrive lotion details.
However I can't for the life of me find a widget app or shortcut, pre installed, that links me to my skydive.
I use sorani at the moment and it works very well by I was hoping for something as useable as the box out dropbox apps natively in sense.
Could someone who has figured out how this works please educate a little.

Does anyone have the issue of not seeing the contact pictures in third party apps like whatsapp and Handcent SMS?
The pictures are fine in People App but they don't show in other apps.
Anyone with the same issue or a known fix?
In handcent i just enabled it in settings an it wrks fine

my missus has the one x and has the same problem. i resolved it by downloading "friendcaster" and that allowed the facebook pictures to show in handcent/go sms
Yeah i know but i wanted to see if im not the only one. I am using syncmypix to do the job but i was wondering what might be causing the issue :/

apparently an ICS problem, I get the problem on my GNEX too
Yeah or it could be the apps have compatibility isuues with ics. The pictures show fine in people and dialer.

All you need to do is download the app Photo Unlocker. Your Facebook Sense photos are restricted from being used in other apps, but this app unlocks them so they can be seen in all 3rd party apps.
Edit: I noticed this app isn't in the market anymore. I have a titanium backup of it, so if anyone tells me how to get the APK from there, I can post it here.

Just to confirm recent whatsapp has updated and does.pull through contact pictures inc Facebook

Its the only app that worked for me cz i didnt wanna set up friend caster.

Yeah I have the same problem.
Whatsapp doesn't show contacts (facebook)profile pictures.
Running all the latest Market versions of Facebook, whatsapp en handheld SMS.
There are no more updates so far.
Still no profile pics in whatsapp contacts list.
Anyone has a solution by now?

Is it possible to do something with Facebook for HTC Sense app, like delete or whatever?? Maybe fixes it?

The only solution i have found is to use HaxSync from google play! It works like a charm!
I dont like friend caster since it is an app like facebook so more traffic and more data usage. Haxsync just syncs the pics and you can specify how often.

Are you using the stock HTC messaging app? If not, that could be the source. Also, have you installed any apps that have ads? That could also cause your popups.

It's not something to do with your carrier is it? For example, with Vodafone you can get stuff text daily from them. In the app draw there's a Vodafone one that I can select news, weather, jokes, horoscopes etc.
Thats an alert message. I stumbled across how to make that happen on any phone a while ago.
When you send a text message put !! As the first two characters. It then by passes all app settings and pops up.

I am real new to this awesome and vast world of custom roms, loving it, finding the testing and discovery of all the awesome roms lots of fun, albeit time consuming
I am enjoying the Non-Sensed experience a lot. There is one feature that I miss however and that is the Linked Contacts. I tried to install the HTCContacts APK in hope that I would regain the functionality but this didn't work. Is there something I can do, aside from going back to a Sense ROM?

You can't use any stock apps without a Sense ROM.
I use haxsync from the play store to sync my facebook contacts.

you could try go contacts or haxsync

Hello all,
Probably no one have this problem but I can't get anything on blinkfeed from fitbit or foursquare.
When I choose fitbit it just still saying no content even if I try to update.
On fitbit app, all is working fine.
(same for foursquare)
Someone got something similar?

I found that fitbit app did nothing at all without my flex synced with it. I thought it was gonna be like built in to the phone, counting my steps etc but that's not the case as far as I've experienced. But after syncing my flex with the app, I get updates on BlinkFeed for it

So even though the phone has built in motion function it won't push updates to blinkfeed? It's only for if you purchase one of their motion devices? Kind of lame. I was wondering why nothing was snowing up.
The only FitBit thing my Blinkfeed did was show my 1,000 miles badge I just earned. Other than that.... no old badges so and nothing else. However I love the widget.
