Google Voice voicemail has been successfully configured on my phone. all unanswered calls will go to my Google Voice voicemail. i'd like to press-n-hold 1 on my dialpad to call Google Voice, but i'm unable to change preset the voicemail number because the setting is disabled. (See pic below). Is there another method to change this number to my Google Voice number? Thanks in advance to those who reply.
Looking for a answer to this also.
I just use the google Voice app instead of dialing anything. I have not used voice mail for years. It all goes to Google Voice and I get a transcript via text and it shows up in my gmail account.
Does yours work perfectly all the time? I've been using Google Voice for years and with my Note 2 and Note 3 is like 50:50 sending my voice mail to voice. Half the time it still goes to my tmobile voice mail.

I've never used Tmobile voice mail. Didn't use VZW when I was using it either.
On the Note 3 there are 4 forward settings that affect where calls go..
Always forward - I don't use this
Forward when busy - Set to Google Voice
Forward when unanswered - Set to Google Voice
Forward when unreachable - Set to Google Voice
You have to have the last 3 set to point to your Google voice number or you might still have messages sent to your t-mobile voice mail.
Settings -> Device Tab -> Call -> Additional Settings -> Call Forwarding
Thanks I just checked that and mine are all set to forward to my Google voice number as well. Still for some reason done of the voice mail messages go to my tmobile number.

hi all! so i use google voice as my voicemail. i'd like to know if either/both of these are possible. ive seen this done on the S3 but can't seem to figure it out on the GN2:
1) in the phone, the hotkey for 1 takes you to your voicemail inbox. i'd like to change the number so that it calls the google voice inbox.
2) is there anyway to change the voicemail button (under the * key) to bring up google voice? as of right now it brings up the voicemail app.
Still looking for a solution to this =)
Can't help you. . My phone number is my Google voice number so it works and doing 1 for me dials my number does not bring up voice mail app

I made this simple video just because my device didn't ship with AT&T Visual Voicemail preinstalled, and it is a feature included in my plan.
Perhaps some people don't know it is included in their plan. Either way, a lot of people viewed my video for the S3.
Be gentle. Thanks...
I only wish the visual voicemail app would have the unread count bubble on the icon like the email app and text app...
Yeah. The widget isn't much of a widget huh?

I want bubble icons also... :good:
You can also set up Google Voice to do this, it also tells you how many new voicemails you have, don't know about the bubble though
This video shows the dialer codes you want to punch in to forward to your Google Voice number...
--------------------------------
This phone requires a little more input than my CDMA phones. Sorry.. . This was the last video and was taken early in the morning. I was really tired.
Really this should work for all phones on AT&T. iPhones and Android phones.

Check current config: *#61# Call (copy your current phone number for your voicemail!)
Google Voice (best configuration)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Busy Call Forwarding: Dial *67* plus the 10-digit number to which your calls should be forwarded and #. Press Send.
Call Forwarding No Reply: Dial *61* plus the 10-digit number to which your calls should be forwarded and #. Press Send.
Call Forwarding Not Reachable: Dial *62* plus the 10-digit number to which your calls should be forwarded and #. Press Send.
---------------------------------------------------------------
I would not use this unless you are on vacation and want everything to forward or you are changing phone numbers.
Immediate Call Forwarding: Dial *21* plus the 10-digit number to which your calls should be forwarded and #. Press Send.

I've had problems with the One X. Reinstall or try everyday. Then go to AT&T I guess. I finally got lucky with the One X.

check with att whether your data plan has visual voicemail.. I had to talk to att for an hour until they figured out my unlimited data plan did not include visual voicemail. they switched it to anotther unlimted data plan with visual voicemail and it started working.
have two Sprint phones. My primary phone is the Note 2 with my main phone number being my Google Voice number. The second phone is an S3 that is also set up with Google voice and pointing to my main phone number. Most features are working but I have an interesting problem that just started when I added the S3. Specifically, when I have both phones on sometimes the phone rings first on the S3 which may then answer the call and send the message to the Sprint Voice message app and not to Google voice. This is problematic since I often keep both phones on. Any ideas?
My second issue is when I reject a call by swiping the screen to reject the calls goes go the sprint voice message and not the Google.
Other than these issues everything else works. Calls go to both phones okay and calls out of both phones work okay and the caller I'd shows my Google voice number.

Isn't having two phones to one number the whole reason for Google voice?

Use the dialer code that you ran on the note 2, on the S3. The s3 is still set up with your Sprint voice mail, you need to forward it to your g voice mail.

you need to go to your GV settings https://www.google.com/voice/#phones/
and for your Forwarding Options: pick
Ring my other phones before going to voicemail
for both phones.
Thanks that send to work.

Does Google voice calls count against your plan minutes? I tried to set up my previous phone GS2 with Google voice too thru wifi but when I place a call the Sprint prompt saying my account could not be validated comes on

sprint - for reasons I don't understand - seems to have problems with "full google integration". Whatever that means.
as far as I can tell AT&T and Verizon have no issues.
I always install the Google Voice app on all my phones and make sure that all calls go through my GV number (because that's how I wish to use it).
I also make sure to update google voice app on Every phone it's on or your calls will get redirected. In other words GV has to be up to date on all phones for it to work properly
yes, google voice can be complicated, but I have found it quite convenient

Yea, it took me a few days to get it setup right the first time...and TBH, if I had to do it over again, I'd have to scratch my head for a few moments to remember what all I had to do. If you follow the setup page that Google posts on the GV page you should be fine....trying to set it up without reading any instructions will cause headaches.
But man has it saved my tail a few times. Last was only a few days ago, between car being worked on and not having wheels and my phone soft brick...only reason I got my phone back was thx to Google Voice and calling via computer.
Just sign into your Google voice account on a computer and go to settings (the little gear in the right corner). Right there on the first page of settings it should give you the option to disable Google voice on your sprint phone just hit that and your sprint number will ring separately from your Google voice number. Then you can give certain people your real number and others your Google voice one =D

I am not getting any voicemails on Google voice. I have Google Voice selected for "Voicemail service" and I am running Wicked V2. I have never used Google voice before so I don't know if its Wicked or what. When I get a voicemail I get a notification saying that I have a new voicemail and when I tap the notification it dials to my voicemail over the phone. When I have a voicemail and open Google Voice, there is nothing in my inbox or under voicemail even after I refresh it.
if you log in to gvoice thru your web browser on your computer, in the settings it'll give you a forwarding code to type into your phone's dialer

Thanks. They should have that info in their app.
I concur. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the phone itself. In the past I never had to set it up this way

I figured out on my own after fumbling through the call settings then additional settings. Figured it out and it worked. 3 weeks layer I began to not get gv mails again.... Somehow the call forwarding reset itself to tmo voice mail. I called them and had them disable my vm feature and gv is back to normal fwiw

I managed to find the forwarding settings myself as well. Now I created a contact with Google's voice mail number because it was such a pain to find on their site. I'll be watching to see if it flips back to T-mobile.

I got mine to work.. finally as well.. but.. i still get my voicemail in Tmobile voicemail and Google voice.. weird.. but.. it works, lol
The fix I used on my phone and works is to insert the following MMI code into your dialer as well as ensuring Google voice is selected as your voice mail **004*1412532****# (insert your Google Voice number after the *after the 004 and insert a # after your number. A message should come up on your phone saying the change was successful. This will also change your forward settings phone numbers as well
I have both an S4 and a Note 2. The Note 2 is my main phone number which is also my Google Voice number. The S4 uses Google Voice so both phones have the same caller ID and ring when I get a call which is really cool and a benefit to be g on Sprint. There is only one issue. Google Voice has added additional integration into the native phone apps and when I look at the call log on the S4 I see a little icon indicating a voice message and I can play the message via the call log. However with the same setup the Note 2 doesn't provide this integration and doesn't show the voice message icon. Ideas?
