I had this problem when i connected my phone to non-SonyEricsson charger. And after i changed battery. So the question is: Did you changed your battery or charging your phone with other than non-SonyEricsson charger?

hello and thanks for the answer, charger is original but battery its the 3000 mah from china...however even changing the battery with the original one does not solve the problem...

I tried another battery it still won't boot, I went to the extent of trying my battery in another xperia play and the battery works perfectly in it. I'm stumped plz help

You may have bricked it. Have you tried installing any rooms lately? Consider flashing back your stock firmware with "flash tool".
I have a stock device that has never been flashed or tampered with. Does anyone know what the flashing led mean?

Leave it charging. Sometimes the battery is too low to turn on. If not, try a new battery

Didnt u read.... I used another battery in it and it didnt boot, plus I tried my battery in another xperia play and it worked!!
If it's never even been rooted, then you should take it in for repair. Maybe a hardware issue.

Maybe if he researched but oh well, this what I have and sometimes it indicates a hardware component is damaged meaning find out what it is,
you should:
Go to your phone provider and ask them do NOT MENTION ABOUT ANY ROOTING OR BL UNLOCKING.
Find out what problem it has .
Or never use it again (Dont do it)
In my case the digitlizer "Screen" is broken, because back in march I used to boot my phone and the screen wouldnt sometimes work of course there could be another problem but...
Yea I realised I tried turned it on with the battery in the wrong way. I realised it didn't come on and when I fixed the battery right it still wouldn't come on. It just kept flashing the red light only when I tried to charge via USB or wall charger

Messed up touchscreen?

Anyone else had the problem with the xperia play where the touchscreen doesn't seem to be working properly? It detects input in areas where there isn't any but only when i touch specific parts. I tested this in a touchscreen tester app and whilst only using one finger, it would sometimes detect 2 and sometimes not detect at all? Due to being rooted and bootloader unlocked, my warranty is void. What could be the cause of the problem?
EDIT: nevermind, problem seems to have gone

It could actually be a problem with the my little pony game. Seems to return after I play that

Damn evil ponies have given your screen a STD lol
Is it with the charger plugged in or battery? The phone tend to be less responsive while charging.
Seems like a software issue.
Noticed the same thing today, I was using a Verizon brand usb charger and playing MLP, it got laggy and pretty much unplayable.
If you wanna play and charge at the same time you need to use the official SE XP usb charger.
I only use the official charger. I don't think it was on charge at the time

Mine goes crazy sometimes (in fact it's doing it right now by constantly bringing down the notification bar as I type this grr). Anyway, mine sometimes goes mad as I use the keyboard, often typing additional letters as I write, and also when I'm on homescreen it goes into clock itself and switches the alarm on and off like a madman. I turn the phone off and clean the screen vigorously and it fixes it temporarily.

This happened to me twice.
Turn your phone off and wash your screen with a wet cloth.
Just make sure you do it carefully.

[XPS] Back button strange behaviour

Hi,
Recently, my XPS has been showing a strange thing with the back hw button (the left one).
I click on it, I feel the buzz but nothing happens. Only when I click anywhere on the screen it goes back. It happens in many different apps.
Have you noticed anything similar?
XPS stock ics .55 rooted
Without screen protector

It appears to be nothing but software glitch.
How about re-installing the phone's software ?
That would result in loss of root access though
I really don't feel like reinstalling anything before JB update.
In the meantime I've developed a new theory yet to be tested. Maybe this only happens when the phone is charging. Could be an electrostatic phenomena with the capacitive button... I will try to register the conditions every time it happens.

All right, that would be great.
I've tested on mine, it's working fine in every case.
It's a long time for JB. You can expect it at the end of April or in later month
It really seems that only happens when I'm charging the phone...

touch pads glitching help!!

So the other day I was playing minecraft on my xperia play and the touch pads were acting weird. My screen would randomly move without me touching it. when I did try to use them that randomness was fighting what I wanted it to do so I got no where. To me it seems like its registering touches on its own. has any one else come by this problem? also how do I fix it?
Yes it has happend to me, What rom u on?, Im on a GB Rom, Im running The Super Nexus Project,
Check my Sig for more info!
I just bought it and was testing everything out. I haven't rooted yet.

Maybe your hardware is damaged. It you can return it you should or exchange it. Seems like its an actual touchpad problem not software though I havent seen anyone mention this before. Bad luck

Got similar few months ago. Screen starts randomly behave as touched and touchpads gone. When turned off and removed battery it starts working properly until next time.
I tried stock firmware same happen. Even I've send phone to Sony service twice but no resolve.
I have not much problems with random screen touches now but before using touchpads need to turn off phone and remove battery.
i did this also and still nothing. it just spazzes out on every game that involves the touch pads.

DHD touchscreen question

Hello everyone. I am owner of a htc dhd (ace). I have a problem and a question for you.
My touchscreen is working fine but when I am charging it and I using the phone becomes almost unusable. I mean for example. I have my finger in the middle of the screen. Suddenly status pull down, calendar opened, clock, my profile and I haven't put of finger of the screen.
This happens ONLY when I am charging it.
Thanks for advance.
Edit. The problem exist with every rom and only on charging.
Edit 1. I am using a Samsung charger because I lost mine.

This thread has been moved to the Q&A subforum which is the proper subforum for all questions. Please be mindful of where you post in the future.
Before anyone else jumps on saying its the Samsung charger causing it, I'll tell you I also use my Samsung charger with my DHD without any issues so unless something else is going on then I don't think so....
You say it does it with all Roms you've tried maybe it might help to list which ones.
The only other suggestion is if your s-on and unlocked, did you flash the correct boot.img for the installed ROM? If you didn't then I'd strongly suggest this could be your cause, because the 2 parts are matched for each other...

Have you wiped system, data and cache?
One of my Samsung chargers do the same to every phone/tablet I connect (Samsung and others) , so I think it may be charger problem...
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 4
Yes it's definitely electrical 'noise' generated by the charger causing the problem.
If you earth yourself and hold the phone (without a case) the problem will magically disappear.
First of all, thank you for your answers.
I tried to s on and s off again (now i m s off) full wipe everything but nothing happens.
Today I've noticed that the problem exist when I'm having to low battery in charging, for example in 2-40.
So maybe is an electrical problem cause of charger?
