Hi everyone,
I have a very very strange problem.
My sd-card works on my pc.
It also works in android recovery.
But not on android.
I tried it in my phone and a stock tablet.
I have reformatted it and everything and still no luck...
In 'Storage' it says 'Unavailable' but when i remove it, it says 'Sd-card removed, insert a new one', when i insert it again, the notification refreshes but doesn't go away.
Is my sd-card broken?
So i reformatted completely, put the card in another android phone and made it wipe it, and now it just works again...

I reformatted my sd card by mistake and now when I plug my phone into the usb charger the only thing that happens is it starts charging. I get no options. Did I delete my drivers? If so how can I fix this?
Thanks
Go into settings/connect to pc/make sure that ask me is check.
Tried
I tried this but I do not have that option on my phone I am running cyanogen mod ,, any other ideas?
Do you have an sd adapter? see what files you have in the sd card.
I dont have an sd adapter.. but, i am pretty sure everything got erased when I reformatted the card.
okay. take the battery out off the phone than put it back. the phone should install an android secure file when you turn it on.
I have tried at as well. but, i think because i am running cyanogenmod its stopping it from installing the file. is there a way to update my rooted phone with this file?
So, I installed [ROM][EI22]MostlyStock Rebuild | 11/17 and everything was running smoothly. I had removed the SD card after installing the zip in CWM and began using the phone and installing apps. Everything seemed alright.
When I put in an SD card while the phone was running everything seemed fine for a while. I tried to install a few more apps when the phone began locking up and eventually just turned off. After turning off the device would not respond to being plugged in, attempting to power on, going to download mode, but as soon as I popped out the SD card the device turned on with out me needing to press any buttons (weird right). After the phone booted there appeared to be no issues, so I popped the SD card back in and within seconds the device just turned off. So, basically this thing works just fine without an SD in right now (or at least the one SD I have).
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Anyway solutions out there?
When I get to work I will try putting a different SD card in, as well as a different battery and see if that changes anything. I will update when I know more.
If the other SD card works then format the bad one in the phone after copying everything to a computer.

Hi guys, I need assistance!
I recently bought a Samsung Class 6 microsd card for the HTC Desire. It DEFINITELY works because when I connect it to my laptop with a microsd adapter it recognizes it just fine. However, my phone is unable to recognise the sdcard. In storage, it says 'unavailable'. I tried my old sd card in my phone and it works perfectly fine and connects to the computer via usb so it's not the phone. I'm not sure what the problem is.
I flashed the manu 2.0.5 kernel yesterday and am using cm7.1 ROM. Could that have anything to do with it? If so which kernel would you recommend for cm7.1?
Oh and I forgot to add that the NEW Samsung sd card works perfectly fine whilst I'm in recovery and it connects via USB to the computer.
I've had this problem and it seems to stem from damaged partitions.... have you been disconnecting your phone without ejecting from windows? even if all the transfers are complete and you have clicked disconnect on the phone, what if there was a write delay? anyways backup your sd card n sdext, re partition it, and copy back your files.... all should work... well it did for me anyways...
Hey guys!
So I have a little problem with my C2005.
I've been using CM11 recently, but I decided to switch to stock and to swap external/internal. Everything worked fine for me until one day I woke up noticing my phone is shut down, and after restart the SD card was unable to load, awaring me as of "damaged". I put my SD to to PC and another phones and any other device is able to mount it.
I tried to format the card and reinstall the stock system to phone, but still nothing. :/
Any ideas?
Thanks!

are you ever check your memory card with software partition tool for your pc? just check is that your sd card still have active partition? if still have you still have a hope to recover that bro?
Try boot into custom recovery if visible there. You can partition, format sdcard because all tools available there.
Hello,
I have a problem with my SD card, my G3 doesn't recognize it anymore (I have it since about a month).
I did restart it a few times but nothing changes, when I go into recovery mode, everything is in place (I can access it and all my files are shown on the sd card) but nothing shows up when the phone is on (in my musics, photos, and I tried root explorer or ES explorer, it doesnt even show the card).
If I put it off the phone, it says that the card has been removed, and if I put it back on, it says that a card has been inserted, but without showing anything of it.
I'm rooted stock ROM by the way.
I think I did nothing really particular since yesterday, what may be the cause ?

Try this.............
I suggest everyone with SD card issues on their G3 follow these instructions!
I popped the card into my card reader and inserted into my PC. Right-click and select "Format". Set format type to "NTFS" and cluster size to "32kb". Uncheck "Quick Format"!<<<Important!
It took almost an hour to format my 128gb card, but gave me the "format successful" prompt when finished. When I popped it back into my phone, it immediately prompted me to format the card because NTFS is an unrecognizable format for the G3. This is kind of the point. It resets the card in a way that simply erasing it's contents from the storage menu wouldn't do.
I dit it and it works now perfectly fine; thank you !
Also it worked for me but with quick format. :good:
