Is there anyway to go back to MC2 everything(stock rom, stock recovery, modem, baseband) from OTA MK4???
We can't really back to MC2 because of the KNBOX !

but ,can we falsh official ROM and OTA again ? I think we can't .
my some friend flash official ROM back to LJ1 after they OTA update to mk4 ,they can't do OTA again ,some of them do it and the device was bricked .
the bricked device came only into ODIN mode , ever can't into recovery mode .
finally they unbricked the device and not dare to OTA again .
i think ,it's because of the KNBOX .
you. can take a try ...

You can go back I did plus get rid of knox bootloader. I was stuck and everytime I tried the knox bootloader was saying unsupported and wouldn't allow me to downgrade. So what I did was flash twrp in odin and then downloaded a stock mc rom with count reset and stock bootloader rooted or non there was two versions and it put me back bone stock with no knox anything. That's the only way I know that worked for me I tried allot of different ways that didnt work. With knox it block everything.

I appreciate all the replies! One more question, im also rooted and I've removed all the knox software but besides that im completely stock. Will that make a difference?
If your on knox bootloader it won't let you downgrade with odin . Go to download mode and see if you see knox stuff at the top of you do try downgrading my way.

Ok let me make sure I'm understanding this. If I want to go back to mc2 I can use the back to stock with counter reset mc2 zip right? And if I'm correct flashing the custom recovery to do so will set off Knox correct? But once the zip flashes I'll be back on mc2 bootloader without Knox I'm assuming. Now let's say I decide to update again, will the 4.3 Knox bootloader show 0 or be marked as 1 like it's tampered?

Re upgrading to the 4.3 upgrade will cause the knox status in download mode to reappear and yes it will still be tripped. But you could revert to MC2 and then use lorjay589s thread to upgrade to the new 4.3 with the MC2 bootloader so everything will appear untampered

Okay.. I had upgraded to the 4.3 Deodexed and Rooted KNOX removed ROM by lorjay589. Great rom, but I was missing some of the things that I use (Wallet, NFC, "That Bump Thing", etc...)
I wanted to resort to MC2 Stock and reset the counter and then take the OTA, and just deal with it from that point.
When I did the normal boot into recovery, wipe completely, and then flash the MC2 Stock with Counter Reset ROM (As I have done multiple times in the past), along with the root.zip to maintain root temporarily to restore my app data, I ended up stuck on the "U Were Scared we're almost done) for ever. I waited and waited and waited. The options in TWRP were available and the log shows "Updating partition details" and it never moved.
I decided (after 30 minutes) to pull the battery (Yea, I know, not smart), and attempt the clean/flash again.
Now, I'm sitting with no OS and each time I reboot the phone into recovery, I go right back to the "U Were Scared" TWRP screen, and my SD Card is not available any longer.
Any help would be awesome! Thanks
had the same issue. just hit install and reflash mc2.

I just unrooted my phone, and device status says official. That means its just back to how I got it from the store, and I can get the ota update, right?
When I go to about device and press software update, it will update as if I never rooted the phone, correct?
Pretty much what I'm trying to ask, my phone is back to its full original form, as if I never rooted it, right?

yes. if you have not flashed anything then your back to complete stock however if you flashed any custom rom your flash counter will have been tripped which would require you use traingle away to rest. But if all you did was root your phone with motochopper and have now unrooted it, it should be like stock

Follow this guide that I made if you want to get ota updates again. There's an issue where you probably have to wipe your internal SD. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2336392
In my opinion, to get the latest update just download the official .tar rom from sammobile.com and flash it in Odin... You'll ,together, return to box state and have the most up to date official rom...
Always be careful, read read and read before you do anything...
The flash counter increases every time you use Odin to flash (e.g., a rooted kernel) even if everything else is stock. When I needed warranty exchange a few weeks ago I was forced to use Triangle Away even though I had never installed a custom ROM and had only been rooted.

Flash stock recovery (I think there is an Odin file floating around) then use triangle away. Should reset you back. The bootloader is running a check on the recovery at boot. If it doesn't match a certain value (I think it checks the signature) then it trips the counter.

Might not even matter, but just in case, do triangle away before you flash to stock. That's the way I've been told to do it, and its safer I guess.

This will erase EVERYTHING on your phone so use kies to back up messages, pics, etc BEFORE you begin!!
Go to sammobile and dl the stock firmware then dl this.
Have $3 on your google play account for triangleaway.
Then follow these steps
1.flash the stock firmware with odin
2. flash chainfire autoroot and update supersu in the play store
3. purchase and install triangle away (pay for it and support these awesome developers, dont be that guy), run counter reset and reboot
4. in supersu unroot
5.boot into stock recovery and factory reset and wipe cache and delvik cache and reboot.
6. on you phone go to settings>about phone> software update and run the ota update.
That should do it as you have gone completely back to stock, reset your counter and have stock recovery. This is what i had to do to get the ota to 4.3 yesterday/

You can uninstall and or disable supersu ten times and your phone will still never be
in 100% stock status even if KNOX is 0x0 once you root the phone, flash a kernel or
flash a cwm/twrp flashable custom rom.
That was the whole idea behind the "triangle away" was to make the status of the phone
STOCK after flashing custom roms but Triangle Away does not work on the NOTE 3
since the firmware is 4.3. Triangle Away still works fine with phones that still have
the 4.2.2 firmwares/roms.
I think you are mixing up KNOX with the STATUS/flash counter, they are two different things.
Good luck!

No, what you have to do is go to supersu/settings/full unroot. Reboot on stock recovery then, clean cache partition, system reset, and then reboot. You will be set there and your status will be back to official on download (Odin Mode), and also in your phone settings. Which method you use to root your phone?
