Won't delete or format. I saved most of the stuff on there to the computer. The problem is, it works normal until I reboot then everything that was saved on the SD card is gone. If I delete things on the SD card they appear gone until I pull the card out or power the phone down. Even when I format the card it appears good with 58 gigs free then I restart the phone all the crap in back on there. This card is only 3 months old if that matter. Is there even a possibility that it could be fixed. Also what's a good brand besides sandisk because they lost my support. I lost very important pictures. The worse part of all Is I just gave away my 32 gig SD card last week .

My experience is with the Sandisk Ultra microSD 32GB version of this card. Not a positive experience when i had the card not even a month before it crapped out and went bad. Sandisk replaced it but there were numerous reports of just faulty Sandisk cards all over the place. No more Sandisk microSD cards for me anymore
Ever since i switched brands and started using Samsung microSD cards, no issues so far. There's a good deal going right now for a Samsung branded 64GB microSD card on ebay for 29.99, good deal. http://www.ebay.com/itm/151163389486?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Just ordered thanks. It's cheaper than the Sandisk which was 59.99

Something is fishy with our SD cards (both my wife and I), since they've somehow seemed to "go bad" about 2 weeks apart. We both have the S3 16GB and I bought two 32 GB SanDisk cards for our phones. Everything seemed fine until about 2 weeks ago when her card went out, then last night my card seems to have gone bad too. All the phone says is it's "safe to remove the card", can't access the card in any way. I currently can't find my adapter to test the micro card in my laptop, but I should at some point. Is anyone else experiencing anything like this with their SD cards?
I had a problem with my 64gb Sandisk card that went bad duing a rom flash. I have EASEUS Partition (can be downloaded free) installed on my PC and the partition on the SD card was missing. I reformated the partition using FAT32 and it has been fine now for over two weeks.
Just a note I now remove my SD card when I flash ROMs. I know it should be safe but it takes a few hours to rebuild 58gb.
This phone fried my 16gb card
What class sdhc is it?

My 64gb SanDisk errored too within the first week. Formatted and working since. Mine stopped working when I changed a battery (yes, the phone was off).

where did you buy the card? also what class is it?
I'm having the same problem with my 32gb sandisk class 4. it was working fine on my LTEVO but the moment I put it on in my GS3 the card went dead.
32GB Class 10 PNY formatted to FAT32 has been flawless for me...and I've used the same sd card in two previous devices (E4GT & Evo LTE)

Class 4 SanDisk and I bought them on Amazon. Wasn't a bulk type card without proper packaging either, it arrived in the mail packaged like what you would see in B&M's. In any case, I'm going to need to locate my adapter so I can attempt to format them.

If it is screwed like mine then the adapter will do nothing... my card is completely fried

I find it hard to believe that there is actually a "bad batch" of SD cards from SanDisk... I have a friend that also has an S3 (Verizon) that said his 32 GB card (not sure of the class) went bad as well. It would make more sense that the S3 is somehow making them bad or not recognizing them anymore. However, most of my assumptions may just be wishful thinking.
I had some problems that I think were more CM9/exFAT support related with a 64gb UHS-1 card. I used this to format it and it's been fine since
Iv never rooted phone at all wtf....

Do you have any root apps/files on your note 2? I don't know if right or wrong, but read that could trigger modified.

Did you disable any apps (bloatware). Not sure if that will do it, just a thought...
I just factory reset ....did the trick

I got the same thing after installing a 64GB SanDisk SDXC memory card in my phone. Take it out and put in a 32GB PNY card, it goes away. We were all told that the Galaxy Note 2 can use a 64GB microSD card but when I just checked the manual online, it says up to 32GB SD or SDHC (but not SDXC, which are usually 64GB in size and typically uses the exFat file system).

Well, I and other are using Sandisk 64GB MicroSD cards, so they do work.
I've seen other people say that, too. I'm just saying what caused the problem for me. I can repeatedly demonstrate the issue - put the card in, "modified", take the card out, "normal". Put my PNY 32GB card in, "normal". For what it's worth, the card starts out fine and the problem only shows up after I've loaded all my apps and files on to it. Both the SanDisk card and the PNY card have exactly the same contents (I can read and write to the card just fine). Believe me, I'm not trying to dispute you. This has really gotten me scratching my head....
Sounds like your phone is the culprit then.

That's possible. But IF it is my phone, maybe the OP is having a similar problem with HIS phone. That's why I posted my response, to try to help him (not jack his thread).

im using the 64 gig on my att note 2 and it works great
SD card somehow is causing it. I just posted details on my whole ordeal here.
I dunno if I've just had a run of bad luck with external SD cards, but in two months I've lost 2 SD cards! One 32G Sandisk, and just today another Lexar 8G (cuz I couldn't afford another 32G).
But it just frys them to the point where they just don't read anymore. I even try putting them in a card reader in my PC, and no dice. All my pics, music files, nandroids gone. Stuff that I unfortunately didn't back up on my pc. (Kicking myself hard)
My question is, has anybody else been losing SD cards? And, is there a program or a method that could possibly salvage any of the files on them despite them not being read by any card reader?
Any help much appreciated. Thx

I had a 32GB Sandisk microSDHC class 10 konk out less than a month and chucked it to a bad card. Sandisk replaced it. Prior to that I had a 16 GB in it for months and those were fine.
I think in your case it's just the cards going bad. I think the Sandisk 32 GB microSDHC might just have a bad batch somewhere. I got it from Amazon.com.
Yeah I think you have a bad card also
I use a 32 gig class 10 on my evo shift and the S3 shoots it out of the water, and I've never had any problems with the sdcard on my shift
Im 100% stock, bought a new 32gb card and i can see the card but it keeps giving a error saying its corrupt. I tried to format it several times and each time no luck. I put it in my tab and no issues so idk what the problem is... can anyone help?

I Have same problem with my SGS3 in CWM Recovery with 32 GB class 10 Micro card.
Maybe try TWRP 2.3.3.1 Recovery (that works with my 32 GB Card)
Who made the card? I have had bad luck with 32g class10 SanDisk cards with this phone. Just bought an adata no problems so far.

I had a Sandisk 32gb Class 10 card I got back in November do this to me about a week ago. I quickly backed up the data off of it, put it on a 8gb card and it's been fine since. A card should not crap out after only 2-3 months.
Sounds like a bad card. Just return where you got it from and get another. I have a 32 Sandisk with no problems.

I had the exact same problem with a Sandisk 32gb Class 4 card - died after 2-3 months of use. Luckily, I was able to back it up on my PC before it finally gave out. The guy I ordered it from is exchanging it, but I'm concerned that the same thing will happen again.
EDIT: Looking at one of the reviews for an SD card on Amazon, a review has offered some great suggestions to check the SD card is authentic and can perform up to standard (i.e., if labeled a Class 10, reads/writes at 10MBs/sec). Full review can be found here.
One program is an app called SD Tools by Veluscek Ales (available here). It verifies the card information and helps to determine if it's fake or not.
Another free program for the PC is called H2testw (most current version as of writing is V1.4), and this tool will perform read/write tests on the card.

Yeah be careful with online SD cards. I've bought 2 in my lifetime and never will again. I will only buy from Walmart or any local retail store like staples best buy etc.

My 32gb class 10 Samsung sd card works flawlessly so far. Great speed. Purchased at micro center for $25.
So I've been reading on these forums that the 32 gig causes the unexpectedly removed and remount error. I had one and it started to do that with my new note 2. I sent it for replacement and while I wait I wanna know if its a problem with the phone? Or the sd card? Should I try a different format if it does it with this new card?

I planned to take this one from deal extreme, free shipping but if I could have problem then I couldn't change it.
Mine has been working fine since I got it in early december
Do I have to format this card? I read somewhere that guy formated card with some program in fat32. After that formating card was working good.
Buy the Samsung 32gb microSD card Class 10. You won't regret it. Almost half of the Sandisk 32gb microSD's cards (UHS-variant) are either malfunctioning and simply defective out of the box. You can refer to Amazon if it helps you decide. Cheers
My 64gb u1 works fine.
Just buy from a place with a good return policy

I'm coming to believe it's an issue with the Sandisk 32 uhs-1 card!
I even formatted it as fat32 but the problem is getting worse.
So I sent in my card and had it replaced (amazon) and it's been working fine.
