It includes the Titan. AT&T is also giving back to those that bought a phone with in 30 days.
I wonder if they will make any deals for those halfway through their 2-year contract?

So does this mean if I buy a Titan this weekend it will get refunded during Black Friday or on my next bill or something? Or is it better to just wait until Sat?

Few people are having success price matching this feature. You may want to read the following post for more details:

Yeah, I'm not going to risk it, even though it means an extra 2 weeks before I'll actually have a Titan in my hand.

sigh... im really tempted by this, but comimg from Sprint and now TMobile, im a real data power user and having a 2gb data plan really turns me off. Getting a titan for .01 has me wanting to pull the trigger since TMO has failed me only getting the Radar

The AT&T page is now saying Windows Phones "starting" at $.01. This has me worried about the Titan.

Signing a 2 year contract for a phone outdated in 2 weeks = bad math

Outdated exactly how? I bought my Focus about a year ago and it's still damn awesome. Certainly not outdated.

Yeah I never personally understood this mentality. I have no issues signing a phone contract for 2 years. Up in Canada it was 3 years with Telus. So down here in the states 2 years for service that's pretty good and having an awesome phone at a good price just makes sense.
Sure I could go ahead and purchase the phone off contract for 600 dollars but then I'd still end up with AT&T with my unlimited data and whatever it is I have for minutes and texting etc. You pay out one way or another, why not lessen the blow up front.
That said, I do understand that some people don't want a data plan etc. All I can say is last year when we got my inlaws the focus I took their data plan off the bill after a few months. No one screamed bloody murder at me so. Also, why the hell would you want a phone like this and NOT have data and be restricted to only using it on wifi?
To each their own though right!?

Same for mine. Mine feels fresh and sweet even now.
My DVP is not so fresh anymore. Still no Mango, which is why I'm looking to get a Titan.

Focus S > Titan IMO i was at an AT&T retailer today and i played with them both the camera on the Focus looked better to me (FF and Rear) and as a Focus owner i have grown to love the AMOLED, there is just nothing else like it. I don't like how the Titan and most other LCD screens blur when u scroll. I like the back of the Focus S as well.
deal is live now for non-business customers anyways. 1-cent all WP7 phones
Titan > S but nice to have many choices of nice devices FINALLY.
Just ordered the Titan! It says Free overnight shipping I believe? Perhaps I might get it Monday or Tuesday. The sooner the better since I have < 20 days to return the HTC radar if I like the Titan better
A freaking penny!
Downsides At&t plans suck major balls.
I got a great deal with the radar only paying $60 per month for unlimited everything (up to 2gb highspeed data) and tmobile doesn't even bat an eye with Internet Sharing
Att 450 mins $39.99 2gb data $25 unlimted messesaging/mobile2mobile $20 brining the total to $85 Internet Sharing costs extra!
Do I really want the Titan this bad?
Currently rocking a sensation and sold it on ebay for 370(lol) but still haven't shipped it yet, though will do it on Monday or when the guy pays me. Anyway I was wondering if the Gnex is still worth it. I was thinking of GS3 or OneX but they are really expensive I think the Gnex is still par with both
Don't you guys think?
Thanks

Kinda hard to recommend against it at $350 in the Play Store. Pretty great deal.
You can get the verizon nexus free under contract right now at amazon. The ETF is 350 so it costs the same as the gsm nexus without a contract.

What?? Yeah, if you don't figure in the $1,700 you'll lose from a 2 year contract while spending around $70 a month. That's around $1900-$2000 if you wanted to pay the ETF to cancel early. The most you'd spend with a Gnex and (for example) the T-Mo $30/month plan? $1100. My advice? Get the Gnex. I am receiving mine Monday, switching over to it from an iPhone and I couldn't be more happy to not only go back to Android but also go back to an unlocked phone. Being contract free is exhilarating. It'll be worth it, then whenever the new Nexus comes out, you don't have to wait for any contracts to expire or anything like that you just have to wait for the $349 price tag again

The up-front cost of the device is a very small fraction of what you pay in a 2 year contract at Verizon...

Definitely. A lot of people are comparing it to newer phones that have better specs, but in the end the Nexus still wins. I switched to a note a month ago to try it out and I cannot wait to get rid of it and get another nexus...
the nexus is not lacking in hardware, the camera works GREAT if you learn how to use it and aosp with quick/real updates is what makes it the better device. I can't even explain how much of a disappointment it is having something so good as the nexus and then downgrading to a phone you think would have been better... besides, owning a nexus supports the true android experience

How did you get it sold for so much?!?! I am planning on doing the same as you, But the prices on ebay are mostly all bellow 200 anything above that has no bids :/ Mine has a 32 gb SD card. two cases all original accessories an extra anker battery and is in mint condition. My only doubt was that the phone is already over 6 months old and specs are decent but nothing compared to the One x or S3. I wonder how many more full versions of android it will see after jellybean. I thought about waiting for the next Nexus but I highly doubt it will carry the same price tag.

The snapdragon s4 is a much better soc than the omap4 on the gnex, but jellybean really makes the gnex shine. And by the time samsung/htc release jb on their phones it'll be at least 6 months, plus they'll layer it with touchwiz/sense, and who likes that?
Btw i just picked up a gnex today and im loving jellybean

Haha I know well I'm a good ebay seller I always give them freebies plus I put rooted bootloader unlocked and more in the tittle. I sold it with case as well free sd card 8GB (I got 2 16Gb I need them) and 2 batteries. Since I don't think I'm gonna need them I gave them away also I made him pay for shipping which comes to 390 dollars but he got 100 dollars freebies from me win win for everyone lol :-D
Also make sure you put it for 7 days and put a bid at 299 and shipping 20 dollars something like that also allow international shipping that's where you make you lot of money because international is like 60 to 90 dollars

I dunno why I'm going to be the one pointing this out, but that poster mentioned the ETF because there is a practice of buying phones on contract and then paying the ETF which is usually half of the price of an off-contract version. You don't pay anything monthly for the Verizon because you cancel.

Huh never thought of doing that. However my ETF is still $150 and there is only 2months left on my ATT contract. My wife has a year left and her ETF is $275. I know over the course of 2 years you'd make it up by going prepaid either way though.
I guess if for some reason I don't like my Nexus I can use my upgrade to get the SGS3 and just ETF right away.

Wal-Mart has the Sprint Galaxy S3 for $148, and the htc evo lte for $158.00 with 2 year contract. I got the S3. this phone is awsome. since the lady could not get barely any service in the store, she did not get to update it. so I hope I dont have any problems rooting . about to do that soon. WalMart only had the pebble Blue one in. on T-mobile iit was 199.00 still. dont know why or how they could sell it at theat price? I had gone to sprint store 1st and said if they can beat the 148.00 that walmart was offering, and they could not. I was going to trade my OG Evo 4G to get 60 bux credit. I said OK, Ill be right back then LOL. so If you want to get this phone go to Wal-mart!!! this was in Arlington TX.

Has anyone received there's yet? I ordered mine on Cyber Monday in the early morning. Still waiting. Getting impatient!!! I want to play!
UPDATE: I received it yesterday (12/6). 1 week and 3 days. I live in Philadelphia if that helps some of you estimate. Wal-Mart made me update my $25 for 2gb plan to $30 for 3 gb. I'm contemplating calling AT&T to have the switch me back. Yeah it's more cost efficient for the 3gb. But I'm always on Wi-Fi and rarely get past 1.2gb. Plus that's still $60 at the end of the year.
My dad bought his last week. Still on backorder.

Ordered a white Note 2 on 11/26/2012 7:17:23 PM.
Still nothing, despite some completely useless and frustrating calls/chats with customer service who basically told me "we may have some in soon and we may not." Thanks for that hugely insightful info Random Tech Support Guy!
Other Options
Just go order it from Costco or Sams Club. They have no activation fees/ upgrade fees, and you get free accesories.

Have your dad talk to AT&T about his plans to purchase the phone through Wal-Mart first so they can make a note on his account about the grandfathered unlimited data plan. Only AT&T can re-enable the grandfathered unlimited data plan. Then, when he goes and picks up/receives his phone, call AT&T before doing anything with the phone. (If he's picking up from Wal-Mart, tell the Wal-Mart rep to not do anything until they call up AT&T to work with them about his grandfathered unlimited data plan.) AT&T will need to know the SIM's numbers and the phone's IMEI. They'll tell him when to put the SIM in and turn the phone on. Make sure he keeps emphasizing to AT&T that he has the grandfathered unlimited data plan.
In fact, like in my case, if your dad hasn't purchased the phone yet, AT&T might even offer to price match Wal-Mart's price, which may be a better option if the Note II is still on backorder at Wal-Mart. AT&T tends to get priority over the retail stores, so they're able to dish out the phone sooner.
I dont see how walmart can come after him for collections if he changes his data plan, they can only come after him if uses a different sim card during the first 6 months after activation, though they send a bill before sending it to collections. They can also hit him with an etf if he cancels his account after the return grace period on top of the etf you will get from att.

While upgrading your phone through walmart, you have the option to keep your existing plan or w/e and keep your unlimited plan, apparently they cannot because they are a third party. I had to talk to att and another walmart rep, downgrade my data plan and it will have to be regrandfathered in later. In all this shipping was delayed once again. You would think with the 2 weeks they have said they have "processed" the purchase, this problem would have came up then instead of right before it is set to ship.
tl;dr don't use walmart, go amazon or straight through att, these people are too retarded to deal with.
Thanks for the replies guys. The reason he went through walmart is because of the $100 gift card offer. I told him there should be no issue reverting the plan if it does get changed and that's when he told me about walmart collections thing. But I'll pass this great info into him.

Well, if he's locked in on the order, he can call AT&T and alert them of the situation. Again, I advise he heavily emphasize he has the grandfathered plan. They need to leave a note on his account about it. geishroy described the process rather well, but AT&T must be aware of it. Most third party retailers don't know this. When I was about to place an order with Best Buy for my phone, I had to stop to verify with AT&T about my grandfathered data plan and that's when the AT&T rep offered me the price match. This will be a good learning experience for the Wal-Mart rep. Good luck.

It sounds like just a cheap sales tactic that particular rep developed. It's never good to lie to your customers. And if AT&T catches wind of this, the rep's store might be in trouble with AT&T for false claims.
I've been eyeing the Note since the international model came out two years ago. Thinking it wouldn't get localized I picked up the galaxy s2 and then the note exploded in popularity.
I'm picking up the note 2 within the next few weeks but I had a question: does anyone think a price drop is coming? The note 3 is around the corner, which would do it, but the price didn't drop after the s4 was released (yes I know, different target demographic) so I'm still unsure.
The lowest I have seen it is at best buy for 199 and I just might go for it

Its a good question. I pay 63 bucks a month for my wife and I, grandfathered unlimited data and such, on a family plan with my brother. Not worried about monthly cost, as it is pretty static. If I can save $100 in a one time purchase going for it

wow, that is a sweet mothly program!
199 is probably as low as it goes, on an everyday price, until the note 3 comes out.
I was able to get it for 119 a few months ago, on a special promo to keep me from leaving ATT with my 4 lines....Occasionally there are some daily specials out there, but, if you get it at best buy, and you find a lower price in 30 days,(60 if youare Silver Card), they will credit back the difference, so its a pretty good program..

That's really helpful! Best Buy is where I have been looking. Plus the HTC One is on sale for 99. With trade ins I'll get out of there with 2 phones for a decent price. Thanks!
