Everyone having a problem with shutting down.
Make sure all files are in the correct folder. If needed unzip files put them on your sd card then put in /system/media/video/shutdown.
The correct permissions are /system/media/video
rwxr-xr-x and /system/media/video/shutdown is rwxr-xr-x. Then in the shuttdown folder all the .png files are rw-r-r
Also all the file names are case sensitive. Make sure everything is lower case.

Hello.Please help me if you can.I deleted the shutdown PNG.s Well one through 29 anyway.My phone won't shut down properly now but I've downloaded the zip folder with the replacement PNGs you posted and put it on my SD card however I have no clue as to how to move them from my SD card to the /system/media/video/shutdown folder.I did some search online and I couldn't find it.Would you be so kind as to help me please ?
i just installed google now on my hox with venom and faux kernel but its a bit slow any one know how i can improve it?

• rename the existing "config" folder in /system/usr/srec/ on your phone to "config.bak", then just paste "config" and "en-US" from the srec folder on your SD to /system/usr/srec/. I also changed permissions on config and en-US to RWX/RX/RX
•Reboot and enjoy.

I'm on a rooted stock 4.3 rom. Trying to change the boot animation I created a bootanimation.zip file, went to /system/media and found out I got all those .qmg files instead. I found this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782019&page=3) explaining that I need to delete /system/bin/samsungani, then rename the existing /system/bin/bootanimation to samsungani and then just dump my bootanimation.zip to /system/media.
Problem is that there's no samsungani file in system/bin just bootanimation but I took a peek and the bootanimation that I have is pointing to the .qmg files.
Could someone please pm me or post a link where I can find a copy of bootanimation/samsungani? Hoping that copying these files over can fix this problem.
Hello. I downloaded samsung sounds and i overwritten my exciting media folder located in /system. It worked good but i didn't like it so i deleted whole folder. I made a backup of my Media folder on my sdcard but when I put it back and reboot i don't find any media on my device. How can I fix it? And if someone could upload me that folder and tell permisions.
you just need to correct the permissions for the folder .
download root explorer and put the permissions on 644 for the files and 755 for the folders inside it
