Restore text messages? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

When I was on 4.1.2 I backed up my messages using titanium backup and through the messaging app. Now on 4.3 I can't seem to restore my messages. Titanium backup says it has restored it but it doesn't do anything and there is no option in the messaging app to restore messages or at least none that I can see. SMS backup and restore from the play store doesn't work either.
I have an xml file and titanium backup file.
Any advice ?

You should try sms backup from playstore. Backs up in xml format and no need to extract if you change your recovery. they have call logs backup also
But to answer your question i wouldnt know, sorry

Titanium Backup
Is it just me or is anyone else noticing that Titanium Backup is having problems with Jellybean.
Yesterday I flashed my Nexus with Jellybean. No when i go to remove an application with Titanium Backup, the app just freezes after i choose to uninstall.
Anyone else having this issue?

All your apps are backed up with your gmail and you could use titanium backup and/or my backup to backup everything.

[Q] Titanium Backup

I use Titanium Backup to back up all the download apps and restore them after I flash a new ROM. Is it okay if I use TB to back up and restore system settings, call logs and SMS?
do not backup & restore system files.

Im always iffy when it comes to system data. You probably won't get an issue if its just sms and call logs but you might want to consider backing it up with an app

Carbon will also do the same for rooted devices.
You can use the free version to backup and restore locally. To backup to cloud services you need the full version.
