So after I flashed the MK2 modem, I lost my sound completely. No sound would come out from the speakers nor could I call anyone. I need help.
Have you tried to flash back to the older modems?

Does not work for me.

Hi, I just switched from Sprint GS3 to T-Mobile GS4.
I was rooted on the GS3 using MOAR. My new GS4 has not yet received the 4.3 update. Should I go ahead and root now or wait until it receives the update.?
Also what are the most popular ROM's available?
Thanks, Randy
Do not accept the update. 4.3 has an evil Knox ridden bootloader.

Root with chain fire autoroot.
Then update to the mk2 modem this way, but not the boot loader: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2544612

That's the one I was thinking about.
I haven't accepted the 4.3 update because of the Knox. I went through this with the Sprint GS3.
I'm assuming I Odin the Twrp recovery and do the standard re-boot in download mode to flash the new ROM?
I'm in Hawaii so I'm still awake
Thanks everyone

Can I just ODIN the TWRP recovery? I'm more familiar with that method.

Thanks for the help. All done with the root, used goo manager to flash TWRP, doing a backup and will then flash a ROM
Piece of cake
1) Does knox only void your warranty? Because I got my phone off eBay sooo I don't have a warranty anyway
2) How can I flash both mk2 radios? I only see threads to flash the mk2 basic radio but none for the LTE radio.
Will flashing an ota package do this fine? Will I loose root?
So many questions!
Are you on 4.2 or 4.3?

Taking the ota will give you both radios. You don't want that, however.

You would lose root if you did take the ota.

Sorry it's not working for you. It seems like if you had the Canadian 4.3 modem you'd be straight. This is what mine looks like on wicked 10. MDL bootloader. Mk2 modem.

I have read many posts from people who say it sometimes takes multiple attempts to get the MK2 modem to stick. That didn't happen to me, but seems common.

anyone know about the "season kernel" Im stuck on it, not sure what to do . Tried a few odin files and not luck to revert to stock
Wifi works. Flashed modem twice (tried MK2 and NB4), also NON-HLOS. Baseband/IMEI/phone number have valid values. Rooted and on custom ROM for 4.4.2.
I'd flash back to stock.
