Does anyone have the Nexus Wireless Charger and does it work with the HTC One? Will it work in a case? Is the charge time significantly slower than plugging it into an AC outlet?

Yea I should just delete this thread now. For some reason I swear I was reading that there was inductive charger on the HTC One. Oh well now I'm probably not going to buy one for my Nexus 7. I wanted multiple uses out of it and I can't justify $50 for just my tablet.

HTC's website?

which will bring you here.

I have been able to use any number of aftermarket cables on my phone with no problem, but I still like the look of the stock HTC cable set the best
I have gotten several HTC cables off of eBay.
Sent from me
You can buy 10 cables at monoprice for what HTC charges for 1 and they will work just the same.
I just went to best buy and picked up a Blackberry cable. Lasted longer than all of the rest so far. Its rather thick too. And reinforced around the connector, where the HTC cable failed and frayed.

I too have gotten one off of ebay, but HTCPedia has them as well and they're pretty cheap. I bought an external charger and a spare battery and it's working out better than the charging the battery in the phone ever did...
Well I'm little confusing now .
I have 2 charges.
One with out 5v 2000mah
Two with out 5v 10000mah
I noticed by my self but I need to be sure, big cables delays charge?
Before new systems, like ics and others updates on HTC Systems.
I always charged my phones with 1A.
Now even with 2A charger, some times my phone does not charge. Including some times if I use phone while charging battery decreases.
Maybe it is happening cause of my big cables?
What Is the influence of cables on wall charges?
Roms got influencing the charge time?

Hi,
Has anyone purchased this car mount from mobilefun?
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/car-cradle-and-charger-for-htc-one-x-p35493.htm
Currently out of stock but I'm thinking of ordering - looks very similar to the Kidigi mount I've been seeing around.
Hoping it charges @ AC..
Cheers,
Danny
It is the kidigi mount. Handsfree version also available.
Oh great thanks.
I wonder if it will suffer from the same problem with charge not being AC

If you plug the phone in the dock before the charger shows ac. It still charges the phone so I'm not worried

I have one of these but i am going to sell it.
It doesnt charge the phone fast enough and the cig charger with the handsfree speaker is too big and is loose in the socket and keeps coming out

I guess it suffers from the same issue has the Kidigi version....hmmm....not much of a DIY guy, think I'll keep looking then, thanks.

How does this one compare to the official HTC car kit? Which is £50, but seems to be out of stock.
I have it and it works fine with me. You just have to put phone in dock first before the charger to enable ac mode
(like it says in instructions)

I ordered the International Version of the SGN2 and it'll be here on Tuesday but I have an important question to ask. I watched several unboxings on YouTube and I could help but notice all of them came with the UK prongs for the AC adapter.
My question is how are the north american users charging their new Galaxy Note 2's?
Did you guys buy an adapter? Use a different charger? (If so would the nexus 7's charger work?)
Please advise...

You should be OK with almost any USB 5V charger rated at 1A or more, but a 2A charger, like the Nexus 7's, would be the quickest.

Dave

My GN2 should be here Monday. If they didn't supply an adapter, I'm just going to run over to my local Radio Shack and pick up one of these.

When you pre order from handtec they throw in a free adapter, and the note charges super fast like 10% to a 100% in 2 and a half hours.

Anyone in Canada (Toronto area in particular) know where to buy one of these?
I know they're on eBay but I can't find it on the source.ca
Any suggestions?

I have American Style adapters with converter prongs, and have been using it on 220v here in Korea. I've used it the other way as well. They all work no problem.

AFAIK, the charging voltage on the Note II is the same 5V as all other phones, thus any USB charger should work. The only difference is in the current rating. A (tablet) charger rated for up to 2A will charge it faster, while others will be slower. Heck, you could use a 0.5A BT headset charger too! It will just take over 24 hours to fully charge the beast.
The current rating is the amount of current the device can supply safely. Its like a tap, the bigger the spout, the faster the water flow.

Actually my s2 charger (5v 0.7a) charges my note2 from 7% to 100% in 5 hours.
I'm considering keeping that charger for daily use as my note2 only charges during the night anyways while im sleeping and I think its more gentle on the battery to slow charge it. And I'll keep the 2A charger for emergencies.

I have Anker Astro.
He Lo, yesterday I bought a Google Asus Nexus7 tablet, with it came a nice charger, with a double amperage compared wit type original HTC One X charger. I'm wondering, can I als use it to charge my OneX wit this charger without damaging my phone?
Thanks for your comments and advices.
Philip
Hi there,
Yes, you can. I have a 5v 2A charger I use in the car and it charges fine, it does take a little longer than the mains charger but otherwise it works great!
Dave
Don't you have any knowledge about electricity? You can charge even with 100A charger, it merely states how much current it's able to provide. Device controls the amount of current it draws.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Yes you can charge with it but you shouldn't, it can damage the device's charging components if the charger's voltage output not very stable(bad quality).
It can also heat up your charger and/or device.

Err... what? Are these Asus chargers known for bad quality or something?
It should be fine. It might take more time to charge, if the data pins are not connected to indicate a mains charger to One X.
yes you can !
I have similar charger for asus transformer and no problem with charging HOX .

That's somewhat harsh don't you think? What happened to the friendly helpful XDA community?!
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Yep, my HOX charges just fine on the 2A charger that came with my N7. It doesn't charge any faster, but then I wouldn't expect it to - if the battery in the HOX were able to charge at a higher current, I'm sure HTC would have shipped it with a higher capacity charger!

minus the attitude, Presterin is correct.
You're right, sorry about the attitude. But this has been discussed multiple times even on One X forums, and it's getting annoying.

what's annoying is people using that excuse 'its been discussed already multiple times' as a justification for the way you responded.
