[APP] Youtube2

This is the youtube2 app, this app allows you to download, and watch any videos on youtube, and you can play a video and turn off the screen and it will keep playing.
*Must be rooted*
To install this just download es file explorer from the play store.
Make sure you have the up to root settings checked.
Now just copy it to your system/app directory.
Then click and hold on it, and go to properties, and where it says permissions, make sure it is rw- rw- r--.
If it isn't rw- rw- r--, the click change and for User check read, and write. For Group check read, and write. For Other check read.
You might need to reboot.

I have been trying to get it to sync, but it hasn't been working. "When you are in the app, hit the menu button, and hit my channel, and then click on your email. " I've been trying this.

This looks like the old froyo and gingerbread YouTube.

Amazing youtube app.. 3x better than the official youtube app when it comes on how fast it can buffer.

make sure the permissions are set like in the first post, then just reboot your phone and it will show in the app drawer. You don't install it by clicking on the apk.

How dies it look on tablets? If there is a version for them?

I'm not sure. Give it a shot and report back please.

Categories are showin up for me just fine however i like the previous play store alot better. Looks to plain to me

i downloaded and installed it, but kept getting fc's everytime i download an app or try to tupdate, then it kicks me out and i cant go back into the play store

It is very obvious that we are about to see a big change in Android. Nearly every Google app has gone to a simple, clean and modern look. Jellybean may be the last version that we see the black and greys.

i just did a clean wipe and install on my rom and gapps and the google play store automatically updated as if it were already installed. I dont think a apk is any use unless your on stock/non rooted device. =) just flash the latest GAPPS or PA-GAPPS and the new play store should be good to go. =)

HTC Music w/ Gracenotes and HTC Notes for GE

So I wanted to add HTC music with gracenotes and stuff as well as HTC notes to GE and after like 20 minutes I got them both fully working including gracenotes. Had to edit and add some apps and add a lot of libs. If anyone wants it I made a flashable zip.

Installed on Insertcoin 3.05 GE (Android 4.3). Curently on 3.09 firmware with tbalden's 2.1.5c performance kernel.
Cache & dalvik were cleaned after installation. Permissions were fixed after first reboot (from recovery)
That's the error:
Unfortunately android.process.media service stopped...
................... com.google.process.gapps stopped...
Unfortunately Music stopped
Same for notes...
It would be great If we can have working Music with gracenotes
Ready to test anything what you want...

EDIT: Just tested... Every file was moved to relevant directory and perms were changed to default for relevant folder...
There is no FC's from gapps, and other processes... Only Music, Music provider & Notes apps FC....
Probably you are on the right way... It still need something

Calendar would be infinitely awesome....maybe email too but the Sense Calendar is soooo nice for syncing with Outlook at work.

I have managed to sideload it and it works on 4.4 but I can only seem to get hold of phone version online which is stuck in portrait mode. The page says the version varies with device so there must be a tablet version which should install on a compatible device.

You can't use this app if your device is "Modified"(Rooted).
Tried it on my S3 on 4.3
It allowed me to access my Tivo stuff but wont let you watch live TV.

There's an Xposed module that lets you hide root from individual apps.

IT WORKS on KIT KAT, thanks for the attachment and hard work. You've done a superb job.
On my HTC one, as I've installed a custom Rom I had to edit the build prop to make it the correct htc Europe model etc...
I built it with lucky patcher.
I used lucky patcher to install as well as it helped to remove the old version firstly and start a fresh.
I had to block root access as the app requested permission too.

Lucky Patcher won't let me remove the old version. I get 'restoration failed'. Strange thing is using the Android UI settings I cannot find TV Anywhere. Doesn't seem to be installed. Any ideas please? :silly:

Clear cache... of it's still being stubborn.. I believe the app stores itself in mnt/asec mnt RW and delete tva folder.

Thanks for your reply. I've been trawling through Root Explorer but cannot find anything TV Anywhere related. I'll probably just do a factory reset as I like to do this periodically anyway.

I'm just looking for some feedback on what the Virgin TV Anywhere app is like on an OUYA. It is easy to navigate using the OUYA controller? Are the programmes all displayed fullscreen? Are On Demand and Netflix and Youtube channels also available?
I ask because at the mo I only have the HD+ Virgin box. To use this app on an Android device you need a Tivo. This means having to pay an extra £5 a month, but more significantly, take out a new contract to get a Virgin Tivo box. So I want to be sure the app is any good before I splash the cash and signup.

The app allows u to stream a select few channels live... You can't watch on demand or content in my shows. But you can remotely manage your recordings... IMHO... Not worth upgrading as you can use rcx for remote and other free TV streaming apps... I'll make a list of channels Virgin streams...

Try to push from priv-app to app

Moved apk from system\priv-app to *\app then cleared data. Working good now.

Could you download the file from the OP? No. The OP is only a link to a seperate thread where all is discussed.
Click link. Read thread. Know all. Took me around 20 seconds, all in all.
Some personal effort on a site like this can be really handy.

Put attached file in system/app and reboot. Go in settings, accounts, choose your account and select browser sync. Enjoy.
