Hi, I unrooted my note 8 GT-N5110 because it was acting all wacky. In searching for instructions on how to unroot (not that many) I wasn't too sure of which was the right official firmware to flash via odin. Though some of the few sites I found on official firmware, they somewhat always pointed me to http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-N5110 Now here is where I get confused. They have regions listed (sammobile does as well) but none of them say anything about USA or North America for that matter.
Can someone please tell me what region we are supposed to be using for this tablet (N5110). I ended up flashing the one from region FWD (Morocco) seemed to be the latest and everything is working fine. I did notice that there are two new Samsung apps that weren't on it out of the box ie: Learners Hub and Readers Hub.
My concern is that maybe I'm screwing with my future updates. Again can someone please help me with which is our region (USA).
Thanks in advance.
Try looking on http://www.sammobile.com/
You should be able to find the correct firmware. I flashed back to 4.1.2 for UK region (from 4.2.2)

Check out mskip's All In One Tool. You should be able to easily do what you want with that.
You. Obviously didn't go to my thread in android development....

Hi All,
Looking for a bit of advice here with my newly purchased Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition (P605).
I'm in Australia and I bought it from what I thought was a reseller with the local version but when the device turned up it had an international power plug and what looks to be a Hong Kong ROM.
So first thing I did was try and flash it with the Australian unbranded firmware and every time Odin fails with an FAIL! (Size) error. I've tried both the unbranded and the Telstra firmware with no luck. The only way I could get the device back to a working state was by installing the Taiwan ROM (I expect the Hong Kong ROM may have worked too).
Anyone got any suggestions as to how to resolve this? Having the Chinese keyboard pop up frequently when I connect my bluetooth keyboard is pretty annoying. I've read some stuff about this perhaps being related to partitioning?
Other options I'm looking at are flashing the device with the UK firmware and even the South Korean 4.4.2 firmware. I've got a Galaxy S5 with 4.4.2 and I think it is much nicer than 4.3 - would be good to standardise the OS on both as the little inconsistencies are a bit annoying.
Appreciate any thoughts and thanks in advance.

DON'T flash the Korean KK firmware... When looking for a rom only pick P605 rom, the Korean rom is a different model number.. It will brick your device.
Try the UK rom (BTU). You should be able to flash just about any P605 rom (nothing with with letters behind) but the Oz rom is weird... I'm in same boat, got the Hong Kong 32gb P605 but can't flash Oz rom. Not gonna sweat it though as there are a bunch of other roms out there with a release of KK not far off, the nordish Notes just got updated to KK on the 29th...
Shouldn't be too long...
4.4.2 installed

Not to worry - I've installed 4.4.2 NEE from the instructions at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2766394&page=12
Only one problem though - the left key on the Galaxy S5 brings up the app list while on the Note 10.1 2014 it brings up the settings menu (same behaviour as my S4). I don't care either way really but some consistency would be nice!! Dunno how many times already I've pushed the left button on the Note looking for the app list.
Hello Friends,
I've bought a Galaxy Tab S 10.5 SM-T800 in China but unfortunately I'm not able to install google play and youtube on it,so can anyone help me in order to clarify which ROM is compatible with this tablet without "bricking " it? I'm from Brazil and any info will be very helpful.
Thank you all, Wish you all the best!
Best Regards,

Chinese tablette, change/add language, flash to french?
Hi guys,
I'm on the same boat, I bought the device from China for my dad, but it only has Chinese/Korean/English language and a lot of stuff he doesn't want/need.
I would like to flash the tablet to French, but it seems the ROMS are country dependent, and I don't want to brick it just yet
What's my best option to get french on the device?
Any feedback on this will be appreciated!!

Hello,
could you install the Google Play and youTube in your device?
Thank you
SM-T800C (China) is compatible with SM-T800
SM-T805C (China) NO (modem.bin, sboot.bin and system.img you can not flash through Odin). If you want, you can flash this firmware:

You'll have the European model with all the services of google working ..
Try to flash this latest firmware for Hong Kong. After the flash, you have to get into recovery mod and do the wipe reset factory.

You just have to flash the one I posted above and do the reset. Stop.
Firmware Hong Kong is the European firmware (not ė China and contains all the google services) but as a rule are the fastest of those european

I haven't. I am being careful. I am waiting on Bodiva to answer my question. Bodiva if you are seeing this can you please advise
I'm in the UK, bought my Tab S 10.5 from eGlobal Central UK and when it arrived the system software was in Chinese. I was able to change it ok to English and the model number is SM-T800. The Samsung internet app home page is the Samsung Hong Kong site. All Google apps are present and correct and there are no preinstalled Chinese apps. But I can't get Odin to recognise it in download mode. I've tried different cables, different usb sockets, I've even tried it on 2 pc's but no use. Odin does see it on Com port 9 when the tablet is booted up, but doesn't see it at all on the 2nd pc. It connects as an mtp device on both pc's ok.
So even though its an SM-T800 Tab S, it looks like I have no mission of rooting it as Odin doesn't work. I suppose I could return it as I wasn't told in advance that it would be a Chinese one I was buying.

Hi, I used the ROM Bodiva suggested. It works perfect !
The only thing that doesn't work is the 4g connection. it doesn't recognize the SIM card (null / null IMEI). I am still looking for a solution for that. But for the rest the ROM is OK, can easily be flashed through ODIN.

which odin do you use.... I use odin 3.07, but it seems odin 3.09 for galaxy s4 also recognizes the tablet, although I haven't confirmed it actually works. See if this works: go to your tablet's settings, tap general, tap "about device", then tap "build number" 7 times. Now you have developer options. Now tap that and check enable usb-debugging. If you have installed adb, open a command terminal with admin rights and type "adb reboot download" (without the quotationmarks) put your original samsung cable in the top-usb port on the back of your computer, open odin 3.07, and check the connection.

That will be difficult if not impossible until someone can change the bootloader, even in Hong Kong if you tell them you live on
the mainland, they will not sell you a 4G model as it will not work.
One strange thing is that with every ROM ever made, if you for example took the SamsungIME apk and moved it to another device
that was similar, it worked fine, it does not in this, a Hong Kong 805 IME will not even register or be recognized on the 805C. That
is enough to suspect that China does not want you to replace that keyboard, but why? keylogging perhaps.
