Uninstalling apps from GEL? - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

I've sideloaded the GEL and I love it. However I've noticed that when trying to uninstall an app from the app drawer it doesn't seem to work as previous launchers, i.e. there isn't an uninstall icon that shows on the homescreen. Is there a different way to quickly uninstall apps in the Experience launcher or do I just have to go into settings and do it manually. Thanks!

I must have had an older version of the launcher installed. Found a more recent one here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2525979. I installed the launcher from this thread and it fixed the issue.

Did you restart lp after?
The themes are going to be under widget settings and for each individual widget you can set the theme for it. Restart launcher pro afterwards.

And what about theme'ing everything else? I.e. calling bar, unlock screen bar- does the phone has to be rooted to do in example call/answer bar theme'ing?

[Q] Carousel?

Do any of the roms for the gnex have the carousel effect on home screens and app drawer. Definitely miss having that.
I'm sure some on the launchers in the play store do. Try nova.

[Q] Apex/Nova Launchers

Anyone know how to load the discover menu from these two launchers?
I use apex and have to launch the ouya launcher if I want the discover screen.
I just have a shortcut on the homescreen then go back into apex with a double click of the ouya button.

The dev for baxty(sp?) Launcher has been trying to code it in, but says that it is deliberately blocked.

Recent menu delete all option.

I have seen this on custom Roms, an option to delete all previously opened apps, is there an app for that? Or is it only found in custom Roms.

In the recent apps widow just drag the ones you want to close off the screen.

Restore stock launcher

I accidentally uninstalled the stock launcher. Is there a way to reinstall it?
Would a factory reset do?
Would the next update reinstall it?
Many thanks

If you never secondary launcher then you will be in trouble. Because your system cannot launch any thing. If you already installed some thing like Nova launcher then you can install any stock launcher
