Installing Stock Android On Ascend P6 - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

Hi
How to install Stock Android on Huawei Ascend P6 ?
Thnx

Wrong section dude.
B2T atm no Stock Android (AOSP) is out yet. That guy who planed a cyogen for P6 just closed the thread and leaved

I believe system/apps folder and framework and certain other folders can be replaced with the AOSP ones in the rom, and this should not require a new kernel or anything.
edit: eg. using the EMUI 4.2.2 B122 as base in this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908008
Would it work?

I would try today if i've time. Or has somebody already started?

I don't really belive that this could work, but if anyone would like to test, I can upload a rom which is "ported" like this

No.
Take any clean CM9, AOSP, CM7, CM10 ROM which is running on your device as Base ROM.

Is Huawei's ROM CM / AOSP ?
NO

By the Way its more difficult to Patch Goldfish Android compare to normal "ports"

Why does it need CM/AOSP as base? MIUI seems to be completely fine on emui base, if a little laggy

If you want to try a build, ported with the tutorial,
try this :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/oqnj80wmgmesxeq/P6-Baido-based-CM-4.2.2-Kitkat-look-pre-pre-alpha.zip
... I dont belive that it will boot, I didn't tryed .. and ... if your phone breaks, if've warned you
I used Baidu: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2511276 as base and "ported" with this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173159
.. tell me if it does anything ^^

U8800 is not xhdpi, it may bug out or not work at all. Using the Nexus 4 aokp/aosp rom for porting files would have been a better choice.
edit: the zip file should not have a folder inside of it, the meta-inf and system folder should be in the root of the zip

Actually interesting for development, Cyanogenmod does not require a custom kernel!!
Proof: http://www.eternityproject.eu/topic/1107358-eternityprojects-cyanogenmod-101-for-huawei-honor-2/
I've already spoken to XDA member kholk in regards to this, if you analyze his ROM he does not include a kernel. Their using the method that we use due to the same limitations, as you can see the thread directs users to flash Huawei's 4.2.1 base ROM.
So it's completely feasible the P6 can obtain a stock like CM rom. I'm going to get in touch with Kholk regarding this once more.

Honor 2 has the same chipset as P6 does. If he got it working on it, then theres no possible reason why we should be able to port this to B122

Ahhh this is what I've been trying to tell everybody for ages ahaha :<> Their obviously running an entirely different base (4.1.2) which as you know we do not have, so porting isn't as straight forward as you'd of liked.

Since were running 4.2.2, we should take the files from CM10.1 4.2.2. We could also check out the zip file of that rom to see which files he has modified/left/copied etc by sorting them by Date Modified.
edit: did some research on modification date and found out that this wont help us at all.
Code:
Modified files:

It uses MIUI Patch ROM Project.
Think of it this way: Huawei's stock is basically based on AOSP. - Basing AOSP on it isn't really possible is it? You could strip down your ROM and port a few apps / libs. But stuff like settings.apk will be difficult.

Yep, making a generic build and using pre-built kernel should work ( with lots of bugs of course ). - I got it to the bootanimation, trying to get it to boot.
Last time I compiled was CM7 My internet is so slow!

[HOWTO] Port N7100 ROMs to I317 and N7105

I spent the entire day yesterday trying to make Android Revolution HD work on my I317. At the end of the day, success ! and here is how:
Please do not experiment with this stuff if you're not familiar with partitions and the way things work. You do run the risk of bricking your device permanently if you don't know what you're doing. I'll write this so that developers can start porting their ROMs to the LTE variants.
The two devices are identical except for the modem (and rild files) and the GPS initialization at bootup.
1. You'll need to rewrite the updater-script in most CWM flashable ROMs to make sure.. again, MAKE SURE that you do not flash anything else except /system /data and the boot partition. Overwriting your modem partition with a modem from the N7100 phone or the bootloader partitions will blow up your phone. You've been warned ! The partition labels and numbers are identical so you won't have to change that.
2. Make sure you bundle a kernel (boot.img) from one of I317/N7105 (depending on which device you own). Obviously we're talking about TW kernels here so for example stock JB kernels or Perseus will do just fine. Do not flash boot.img kernels from the N7100 section.
3. You'll need to add and remove a bunch of userland library files from your device. I won't attach these files here but you can grab them from any I317/N7105 ROM:
Files to ADD/REPLACE (Yes, every single one counts as they're dynamically linked). The stuff in /system/bin are started by the initramfs in the kernel so add them all in as well:
Code:
./system
./system/bin
./system/bin/qcks
./system/bin/sec-ril
./system/bin/qmuxd
./system/bin/efsks
./system/bin/diag_uart_log
./system/bin/netmgrd
./system/bin/gsiff_daemon
./system/bin/ks
./system/bin/rild
./system/bin/qmiproxy
./system/bin/secstarter
./system/etc
./system/etc/gps.conf
./system/lib
./system/lib/hw
./system/lib/hw/audio.primary.smdk4x12.so
./system/lib/hw/gps.default.so
./system/lib/hw/audio_policy.smdk4x12.so
./system/lib/libril-qc-qmi-1.so
./system/lib/libnetmgr.so
./system/lib/libaudio-ril.so
./system/lib/libloc_api_v02.so
./system/lib/libril-qcril-hook-oem.so
./system/lib/libqdp.so
./system/lib/libdsutils.so
./system/lib/libqmiservices.so
./system/lib/libqmi_client_qmux.so
./system/lib/libloc_adapter.so
./system/lib/libqmi_common_so.so
./system/lib/libqdi.so
./system/lib/libqmi.so
./system/lib/libcsd-client.so
./system/lib/libloc_eng.so
./system/lib/libqmi_encdec.so
./system/lib/libqcci_legacy.so
./system/lib/libqmi_cci.so
./system/lib/libssaudio-client.so
./system/lib/libidl.so
./system/lib/libril.so
./system/lib/libqmi_csi.so
./system/lib/libdiag.so
./system/lib/libdsi_netctrl.so
./system/lib/libgps.utils.so
./system/lib/libgps.so
To remove !!! Moi importante !
Code:
./system/lib/hw/gps.exynos4.so
If you don't remove that GPS exynos4 file, HAL will load it and never the gps.default.so file so your gps won't work. Took me three friggin hours to figure out.
4. Lastly, you'll need to change build.prop so that it loads our RILD files instead of the N7100's:
Code:
replace
rild.libpath=/system/lib/libsec-ril.so
with
rild.libpath=/system/lib/libril-qc-qmi-1.so
5. ???
6. Profit.
When I get sometime, I'll try to port CM10 from the N7100 tree. Done.
im going to try this I hope it works thanks

I don't think that will be possible until we have an cm10 kernel built for our device first, can't switch in a TW kernel for their cm10 kernel without possibly bricking our phones
And to the OP of this thread:
Great work man, I know they were having a little trouble getting the roms to port on our IRC channel, hopefully this opens the flood gates for more rom possibilities :good:

I'm going to port the standard CM10 that is available at github.com/cyanogenmod Once this is completed, then we can incorporate that to all AOSP based roms.
The kernels are actually pretty close to each other. (have a look at the defconf for details). What's different is the initramfs and the userland binaries/libraries. I'll have a look at it but I need to get this audio going on TW roms first.

[ROM] [JB 4.1.2] EXR.Cheney.Acro S.Lulu ROM by eclip

I found a nice ROM (v4.1.2) on my local forum and I would like to share it.
ROM(without kernel)
recommended kernel
The ROM is based on this one
Unlocked bootloader required for the ROM.
This rom is something, along with the recommended kernel... I'm impressed!!!
Though there some settings/languages I don't understand, the rom as a whole is awesome and smooth...
The devs should come here at XDA...
I'm glad I tried this rom...

AFAIK it is originally a Chinese ROM which was somehow adapted for our device by one Russian guy. His nickname is
eclip). So I guess a part of settings/languages you don't understand simply might be in Russian or Chinese language.
I dont know about whether the kernel is compatible with the stock rom or not but it definitely has cwm recovery.
So you can always flash another kernel from recovery mode (press vol+ after reboot) if something goes wrong with it.
There is a new version of the ROM and I am waiting for permission from the author to share a link here.

all of patch is going to samsung, another way is make a custom rom like @wulsic doing
about news Kitkat for another Samsung device is stuck on S3 (i think),cause the lastest news i read is ,new touchwhiz launcher cannot run correctly on S3 with 1 gb of ram,and we should patient cause when S3 is not have Kitkat ,and we too not have way ,cause we have 512 mb of ram
Note:
you can check the lastest firmware for fame on www.sammobile.com,and go to tab firmware
When kitkat was released there were leaks that showed that Fame might get the update because it was supposed to support mid/low -end devices, but as we can see there are no updates.. i'll never get another samsung phone again, it's just my second and it's the last.

Well i still need to make a good working kernel for the kitkat cm11 rom just be patient  i also contacted somebody else who is working on almost the same thing as me but he is further so i asked for advice with the kernel since the source is also 4.1.2 or he also knows a bit wether which patches need to be applied cause it will be faster then that i need to find everything myself since i am not a real kernel dev xd.
But yeah you can try to flash it but yeah... Rom doesnt boot yet but i think before the summervacation it might boot, or yeah my summer vacation is started next week i thought or the week after idk

Im not sure but i thought the guy in the video with that rom was using cwm 6.0.4.6 so... i thought that that version wasnt able to flash kitkat roms so yh.... I want to be 100% sure so im downloading itnow since guys with bad internet connection need to download hours to get the rom and i only around 3 minutes.
EDIT: Like i thought just 4.1.2 stock rom with kitkat theme a bit and edited settings to have more features and android version was 4.4.2 it said but in the fingerprint(Also for playstore neccesary) was 4.1.2)
The guy who made the rom has based it on the Latin stock rom 4.1.2(http://terafile.co/3395503ca6cc)

Im still busy with the kernel to make it good working to boot to cm11
And Kitkat is supposed to support low/mid - end devices? Probably Touchwiz but that explains how Google is able to release new versions of android and make them available as updates almost immediately on nexus devices. Im making a google kitkat experience rom but since no kitkat available for our device I have to use jelly bean as base. (Techno rom) Too complete it all I need is to change status bar and boot animation. And UI if possible because I'm new to making roms and this is my first. Any help is appreciated.
please help me...

Anyone want to test a pure aosp 5.1.0 ROM ?
lollipop (15-03-15):
add rastapop 5.1 build.
add vanilla 5.1.0 build.
Any changelog, any bugs? I believe if you update the OP accordingly, more people will install the ROMs.
How difficult would porting this to the e970 be?
Would I be able to use it by just flashing a geeb kernel?
First if you want something you should ask nicely or do it yourself.
This is international thread.
And for your second question I believe so because the only things you guys stay without are camera and SD card an that is kernel related.
Just do a backup first and then try it out with a geeb kernel.
And is because of that kind of people I stopped posting my projects in the community.

I am developing kernels as well, just check my ops. I always update changelogs etc. It was a friendly suggestion/advice as I wanted to know at least if everything was working or tested. I don"t force anyone...
You should be a bit careful with your words before categorizing people as "this kind of people"
Not nice, especially on XDA.

XDA isn't what it used to be. There's so much people lazy to test and learn on they own, that I barely answer to anything nowadays.
Tho, if you're developing, and want to know, I bet the dev of this thread has a github, which you can check. As a dev, understand it is a must.

Yeah, i think its dead. The last update was 9 days ago LOL.
Except for Bluetooth bug (which plagues all roms that use kevs sources) it will run close to perfect.
As with all roms you are curious to try, do a nandroid backup, test rom and if you dont like restore backup..... And read atleast the last 5+ pages thread before asking such questions.
thanx the developer about his time and for sharing his project

Source release for Huawei Nova/Nova PLUS

Huawei has finally uploaded the opens source code for all of our devices (the 3 hardware versions).
I have reuploaded it to Google Drive for easier download.
Grab them here : https://goo.gl/DiAj78
Wooooowwww, if that's the sources all is getting great now. Xelfmade, make or phone great again ?
So anybody have the original download link?
Great news! I Assume custom roms etc will become available now once people have built them?
You can get the original downlaods from here : http://consumer.huawei.com/en/opens...Type=openSourceSoftware&pageSize=10&curPage=1
Just search Nova. The download speed was a tad slow.
Huh, i was asking them several times over the past days about the sources. Pleasent coincidence.
Thanks for posting this. Let the fun part begin

Oh wow Nice! My variant is the CAN-L01 one.
Probably it will work for any variant, even chinese ones.
But my problem is not the rom itself, is the kernel. I'm wanting to learn to mod and compile kernel just for this, as Nova kernel is awful to tweak.
