Hello,
While I was preparing my phone to flash cyanogenmod 10.1 to my desire HD i bricked it.
It is now in a bootloop while not being updated yet,
How it came to be:
I Unlocked the bootloader with the help of htcdev
After this I tried to root it which by me succeeded,
Then i tried to do a S-OFF but this failed, and then in my rush i flashed cyanogenmod.
Now I am trieing to revert back my changes to the stock RUU of HTC, but this also gives errors
When i try to reinstall my current version (3.13 with hboot 2.00.0029) it gives an error that the rom is not supported.
Then i try to install the previous version (3.12.405.1) and then it says that there is a newer version and then stops.
The CID of my phone is: HTC__E11
The current HBOOT is: 2.00.0029
Radio: 26.14.04.28_M
eMMC-boot
ACE PVT SHIP S-ON RL
MICROP: 0438
The phone is unbranded and direct of HTC.
I hope you can help me with this issue.
Kind Regards and Thanks in Advance,
Jasper
It's not bricked. It's in a bootloop.
Check my signature to find how to fix it.

I have just checked the following tutorial from your link
And when i wanted to flash the bootloader i get an error
Code:
./fastboot flash zip PD98IMG-HBFX.zip

Also when i try to clear the cache it will succeed.
But when i try to flash the rom.zip extracted from the official RUU with the previous version in RUU mode
Code:
./fastboot flash zip rom.zip

Could someone help me please.

I'm a bit Rusty so here it goes. Do double check what I'm about to tell you.
Either:
You also need to flash the rom img after having a recovery installed - do you have one?
Or, relock the bootloader and use glevitans tool.
If those don't work, flash a ruu to start over.

This is what i actually want to do at the moment, but this is actually what is going wrong, but i do have access to fastboot and clockworkmod recovery.
But i will check the glevitans tool.
Kind Regads and Thanks in Advance,
Jasper
Coffee hasn't kicked in yet.
Try flashing a rom, the rom img using fastboot. If that doesnt work relock the bootloader, then try flashing the ruu.

Edit: Doing a couple searches with "FAILED (remote: 43 main version check fail)" returned:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sitesearch.php?q=desire%20hd%20FAILED%20%28remote%3A%2043%20main%20version%20check%20fail%29
May get you on the right track.

Hi Teichopsia,
Problem is solved, thank for pointing me in the right direction
I fixed the problem by setting the version to 1.1.111.1 with misc_version
After this I flashed the original RUU and it is now working as a charm again.
Thanks again.

First of all thank you for your reply.
Primary I've done it in MacOSX.
Afterwards I repeated it on Win 7, I was following this guide:
http://unrevoked.com/rootwiki/doku.php/public/windows_hboot_driver_install
for driver installation.
But, same result.
Is there way to make a TOTAL HARD reset, and maybe redo rooting with the latest unrevoked?
Download the Slax iso and the create a bootable cd, then download unrevoked 3.2.1(for linux) and save it onto the flash.
Boot from slax cd, copy files from flash to desktop, install and follow the onscreen instructions with unrevoked.
I had no issues in Windows 7 x64 Ultimate using unrEVOked so can't really comment, sorry

Hello,
I've tried it with Linux too now...

People! I've done a downgrade from 0.93.0001 to HBOOT-0.83.0001
I've used this downgrade tool:

My stuff at the moment:
2.1-update1 firmware.
32.41.00.32U_4.08.00.09 radio.
1.21.405.2 software version.
build number: 1.21.405.2
Should I root now?

It's ubuntu dependencies, you should have libstdc++ installed.
try sudo apt-get install libstdc
or if not,... try to find a right package with command apt-cache search libstdc

Go for it ... i see no reason why you shouldnt be able to root and then let us know how it went.
Its strange that some people running HBOOT 0.93 have issues rooting, were any of your phones branded? I read somewhere that vodafone or something with this hboot gives issues when trying to root
I have HBOOT 0.93.0001 and I could root fine.
now i get this error message with using ubuntu live cd:
no device found and in phone bootloader tells me the version would be older....
maybe it depends on the new rom i am havin now?
I have 0.93.0001 and rooted fine with unrevoked3
That hboot 0.93000001, was released as an OTA. This also updated my Desire to that new hboot version. Maybe a try to prevent rooting?
My desire was rooted before but I unrooted it because it needs sending to htc. It's suffering from random reboots when it gets hot. It reboots, then vibrates 7 times. Google it, a lot of people have this problem.
I'm hoping I'll be able to root again when I get it back, because I just neeeeeed to run MIUI..
Ah the above comment comforts me I'll just try unrevoked again.
i tried Unrevoked and all downgrade tools , but always have problem some where , but main problem that after the phone reboot it's always can not find the phone and give me error , i recheck the adb many times and used Linux and windows 7 64 bit .
please help

You need to first flash the 2.17.401 ruu to upgrade hboot to 1.12 and then flash the new hboot firmware. It seems that 0.43 is too old to accept the new hboot update.

i used all in one toolkit, and now when i choose reboot system now in recovery menu, it keep loob rebooting in recovery, any idea?
Try
Code:
fastboot erase cache
after flashing recovery.
BtW: After the RUU u´ll need to update HBOOT to 1.28, e.g. with stuarts EasyFlasher in order to run JB/Sense4+
Backing up your SD-Data is important before updating HBOOT too, because SD will be deleted while updating.
LG, Helmut
damm, when i am in fastboot mode, fastboot devices gives nothing wtf... all that after flash zip CWM-SuperSU-v0.97.zip
never had that kind of problem before :'( pls help!!!!!
Why flashing supersu.zip?
supersu afaik is included in all JB/Sense4+ ROms
You installed 2.17.401.2 RUU completely?
Unlocked Bootloader again in order to get fastboot-mode working?
Now try running EasyFlasher in order to get HBOOT 1.28.
Then flash CWM 5.8.4.0 or TWRP 2.3.1.0 (fastboot erase cache after)
Reboot to Recovery, mount USB and copy ROM.zip to SD.
unmount USB, flash ROM.zip
Reboot into bootloader (fastboot usb), flash boot.img out of ROM.zip, fastboot erase cache and reboot, everything should work fine.

also my hboot is now 1.36
and i have relocked
So why are you flashing firmware again after you already flashed it to 1.36? You don't need to flash the same firmware every time. Try reflash the boot.img. Also try going settings -> mobile network -> network operators; and select your carrier
And unlock it now before u flash the boot.img. you cant do commands before its unlocked
yes .it all about boot img .tnx
just unlock and flash boot.img from ARHD rom.
Hello i hope someone can help me out i am trying to reflash the stock ICS rom for my htc one v but i keep getting an error halfway through the flashing saying an unknown error has occured and something about flashing the correct rom. To my knowledge i am flashing the correct stock rom which i have downloaded from http://www.androidfiles.org/ruu/?developer=Primo. Their are 2 roms for H3g ics and i have tried both with the same error. Iff someone could point me in the right direction i would much appeciate it thankyou in advance. Atm i am stuck in fastboot everytime i reboot the phone as i have relocked the bootloader also as suggested in the instructions on how to reflash.
I don't know if its why or not. But you also have to flash the stock kernel and recovery before re locking. You can get these files by first running the RUU. Without doing anything go into your temp folder and you'll see a folder with all the flash images.
The RUU also has to be for your HBOOT/RADIO as far as I know.
