Rom - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I recently installed cm 10.2 with the official installer. And after using it a couple of days, I found out that it doesn't have much features. So I decide to install another ROM. And then I suddenly find pacman ROM.
so my question is how do I install pacman ROM when I already have installed cm. Can I just flash it with recovery or do I need to go completely back to stock?.
And by the way do any of you have experience with pacman ROM?.
If yes can it be used as a daily stable rom?
If not can you suggest me other ROMs?
Sorry for asking so many questions

[Q] About ROMS

I guys,
I'm new to this ROM things.
I want to install a ROM that don't bring me problems or bugs, and that got embedded all the usefull stuff.
At this stage, is better installing CyanogenMod 7.1 KANG RC-3.0 or Cy4noobsMod-7.1.3.1??
Which is more stable and has no bugs??
Or do you recommend me another ROM?
I currently have GB 2.3.5 Stock Rom via sammobile.com
Thanks =)
I would recommend CM 7.2 RC1.
It's the most stable CyanogenMod for the gio right now and works just fine.
I would not recommend any other cyanogen, as they all have some issues right now.
If you want something closer to stock rom, go for particle rom.
You'll find all of them toghether with directions in the developers section here.

[Q] updating custom rom to latest CM10.1

I remember when I had note 1 I could install some update from latest daily builds over my current custom rom.
Say I'm currently running asylum rom dated 0217 but the newest CM10.1 has the bluetooth fix.
Is there a easy way to update to latest CM10.1 without having to wait for Asylum to rebuild the whole rom?
If your running asylum then I would say you need to clean flash the newest nightly of cm10.1 or wait for asylum to update. It's not hard to clean flash. To start fresh takes me like ten minutes to have my phone set back up to the way it was before

Maybe I wasn't clear.. Is there a way to just flash the latest CM10.1 kernel so I would end up with asylum ROM but with latest CM10.1 updates?

You can either clean flash the latest cm or wait for a new asylum update:thumbup:
You can extract the latest cm kernel and drop it into the current asylum zip and try it that way. No guarantee may need modules and libs. Can't know

[Q]Can I flash a new ROM while I have a custom kernel installed?

So guys. I've installed CyanogenMod 10.1
Swapped memory seats with a modified vold.fstab
And installed the stone kernel.
I want to install CyanogenMod 10.2 or CyanogenMod 11 or OmniRom but I'm pretty unsure if I'm gonna get bricked. The main question is. is it safe to flash a custom Rom while you have a custom kernel installed?. Thanks.

Yes, you can insatall any one ROM that you like Every ROM contains its kernel and when you install ROM you also install new kernel.
You can flash any other kernels but this in ROM is optimized for it.

Mostly correct, but some cases are troubling (most notably installing 4.3.x over 4.4) so if it rejects known good ZIPs try flashing them over stock kernel+cwm6.zip
Anyway it's better to not change kernel from custom ROM's because they are good enough

Flashing Googy-Max on cm 10.2

Alright so ive tweaked my phone the way i like it with cm 10.2 but i just found out about UltimaROM. I want to give it a try for a week but still want my personalized cm ROM just in case. I hate having to flash the nandroid backups so i researched about dual boot with googy max. They recommend first having the stock ROM then flashing the kernel and then cm but im wondering if i can just flash the kernel on cm and then as secondary ROM have Ultima. Is it safe to do this?
