I think this is the correct area to ask for this but what i need is a simple prototype we can base OAA off of this is a big project if you have not heard follow the link in my signature to the thread.
What we need is:
1. a basic go-by a basic format for how the first set of non google android apps will look
2. Color scheme
We can start with this and go from there if anyone has any *helpful* input post it remember this is a community project.
a simple jpeg/bmp/png/ect. will be good enough for now and we will have a poll to see the future of android on the visual side.
Wait - a prototype of what?
A theme? Logo?
What are we discussing?

Hello! I saw that some users (developers) are "recognized developers". Can i be too? I made a custom ROM, and an utility (Androtility, look at my signature). If not, what must I do, and what are the benefits?
Thanks!
You should apply for that, contact the Developer Committee for further info
Good question, I dont really consider myself a developer, but I have been maintaining CM7-Ascend, just ported CM7 to the LG Optimus C LW690 with assistance from BobZhome using inferiorhumanoids repo as a base (repo is setup real nice for the LG Optimus line). And I have ported CWM to a few devices, Ascend 2 M865, Micromax A70, LG Optimus C LW690, and working on a few more. Currently working on porting CM7 to the Huawei Ascend II M865. Also have a couple of cooked ROM for the Ascend and Ascend II.
Funny question - how to become that developer
I finally realized - the proud name "recognized developer" is assigned to the person who managed to create bootable rom for his device and upload it to file hosting..... These two tasks - kitchen usage and internet skills - are quite enough.....
I suppose you would make a rom with someone's kitchen. Then clone it with the help of different lang packs to several languages. Then - upload all these roms (hopefully still bootable) to file hosting. Then - start several topics here with one link to uploaded rom in each thread.

Everyone that would like to be a recognized Developer need to fill out this form, after that our Recognized Developer Committee will examine your application.
Be patient, you are not the only one applying

Hey guys, I was curious about how this works. I submitted my form and is there a cycle we wait on? Do you review all that have accumulated over two weeks and then repeat the process, or something like that? I'm not in a hurry by any means but I was just wondering how the review process works. Thanks.

To sum it up quickly...
LOADS of people apply and a few people have to sort through all the applications one at a time as and when they have free time to do so.
From what I can tell theres a lot of looking at users work and post history to determine whether or not they meet the criteria and each application can be quite time consuming so therefore it can take quite a while for applications to be processed.

Hello my Windows Phone Friends!
I just created a petition for FitNow, Inc to make an Lose It! mobile application for the Windows Phone platform, because I think having this app would be a major plus for the platform.
I'm trying to collect 1,000 signatures, and we could really use your help.
To read more about what I'm trying to do and to sign my petition, copy this link in your browser:

It'll just take a minute!
Once you're done, please ask your friends to sign the petition as well.

Add or modify a contact's birthday (or any event) in Contacts...there is no month of December! Is it just my phone?
LOL, mine doesn't either... that's an obvious bug Google cmon!
Nocembruary is a fine month to have a birthday.
Same here. Wonder how that slipped through testing! Hopefully an update will roll out very soon...

Nice find! :highfive:
Wow, that's a pretty obvious bug. I guess it just goes to show you how unorganized most people testing these devices probably are. Out of everyone I know, I'm the only person that actually keeps their contacts organized. Almost everyone I know uses the "WebOS method" of syncing contacts from social networks, rather than maintaining a database of their own.
At least Google isn't having folks drive over bridges that fall off into the ocean
It's been reported here.

Depending on where the bug is (I've been looking), Google may simply release a Play Store update.
It's not a bug, it's Google's solution for December 21st. We will simply skip the end of the world.

I use my phone for business.
I have thousand of people in my contacts.
I want to see caller's name and company before I pickup the phone.
iPhone can do this, how about Android?
phone>settings>callerid &spam. Google tries to provide the name of the caller if not in your contacts list. In the past I remember having choices as to what it used to obtain the callers information. I cant find that anymore.

Thank you.
I already tried both of them.
Smart Notify is working if phone is not locked. If it is locked then full screen caller id come, than no callers's company info shown.
Call informer was the App i was using 4 years ago. I already tried it since i swicthed back to android.
Unfortunately it doesn't work with newest android phones. Like my Pixel 3 XL.
But it works great with Asus zenfone 3. Which has android 8.0.0
It would be great if there is an update to call informer.
