Hello, guys, I have recently installed Hawkish 4.3 rom in wich you must re-root the phone after install. I had a little trouble rooting - su binaries couldnt install, but its done now, or it just says it is. The problem is, my system is not mounted and I cant use the multiwindow app manager or apps to delete system apps. Here's what Window app manager and SystemAppRemover says in the screenshot. Any help would be appreciated!

install via odin dr.Ketan prerooted rom and after back to hawkish..
did you install it from phil recovery???

Yes, I installed it from Philz recovery. I will try the Dr.Ketan thing you suggested. Thanks!

that happened to me too and i also tried mounting it but nothing happened.

be careful with phil when reboot system...go back ..I forgot other options ...after click on reboot write another...be careful... go back...and system will rebooting....thats my fails...

I am now downloading Dr. Ketan rom and will tell you if the problem is solved.
Yup, that didn't work. System still not mounted. I have tried so many things, none of which work...

Hmm, no, I can't find odin flashable. I tried 4.1.2 with Superuser root and it worked, then I went back to 4.3 and I lost system mount again. When I flash the zip file for the root the final in the log is "unmounting system" and something else... When I try to manually mount it, it says that my root may have been lost or it doesn't do anything, it goes back to unmounted. Can you tell me where can I get the odin flashable and if it's possible to do it via Odin mobile?

insert in google odin download...you see odin1.85 xda developers...click and voila zip file download...that version is ok for me...odin3 v1.85

The update forced on my phone, crashed it because I had a custom recovery, so I had to flash back to. Jelly Bean and now I can't obtain root after re-updating.

Have you tried it on a device thats had the new ota update installed?
Also I thought there was a security concern with the kingo root method, something about it being from China and contains malwares that sends files back to its home server, supposedly these files are the ones necessary to clone the device.

download the freegee app from the play store and it'll install a recovery for you. Either clockworkmod or twrp

Download the GPRO_Recovery_6.0.4.4.apk from this page and install it then use it to flash clockworkmod or tarphttp://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-g-pro/development/lg-g3-port-optimus-gpro-e980-t2827464

Well don't worry man your phone is not broken you just gotta find the right fix. Kinda hard helping because it could be several different things. I would try a different version of odin or a different pc before i start flashing away

I used the latest CF Auto Root to re-root it, then installed the TWRP app from the Play Store, then was able to successfully reinstall TWRP. Now I'm booting to an AOSP ROM.

just what i needed, i wonder if i could ask OP a quick question, i got an unlocked s6 edge+ at&t , but for some reasons unknown to me it wont detect its internal sd card on any pc, tried on windows and mac,
but odin sees it in download mode, im download the file you uploaded as i type this, i was just wondering if anyone has come accros something like this?

would anyone know why my att s6 edge plus shows custom in odin under system after this? it wont boot past the galaxy s6+ boot screen. i downloaded the firmware on different computers and it works if i just flash the ap section but wont boot if i do all of them

I have this same issue!! Whats up with that?
Sounds like you might need to fix DRK on your device. Put it in Recovery Mode and see if it mentions DRK fail at the bottom of it.

Yes it does..I don't mean to thread jack, but you'd be a life saver if that's how I fix it..
You'll need a UART cable and gcprokey to fix it. Must be done in download mode. If you don't have these tools take it to local professional in your area.

After I've rooted the phone I can't open the Camera, I can't Transfer files from PC through USB, I can't Turn on the Bluetooth...Etc

Next time you root install TWRP using Odin and flash SuperSU.zip
If you want to mess with your device and be safe TWRP is the key.

If you want to root select flash zip and UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip.
Just install TWRP and everything will be super easy and safe.

But now that you are deleting data (if you are) I recommend just flashing either Eclipse v9 (That is Touchwiz KitKat) or Nougat AOSP based ROM Cyanogenmod 14.1. Samsung unchanged is very outdated and bad in 2016.

Just go to TWRP and everything will be super easy then. I'll guide you. First make a backup in TWRP. Only of EFS since the rest is already broken now. You actually won't lose your pictures and movies, just apps and settings. Now do you want ROM that is perfectly stable Samsung TouchWiz Android 4.4 like you had before (this is already rooted ). Or do you want Android 5.1 AOSP, which is something totally different? (I heard that on is the best AOSP for N7100)? Myself I am on AOSP.

Actually, you can go to Android 7.1. But that is BETA version, 5.1 is stable. I think users with 7.1 are facing random reboots.
