So I just rooted my Kindle Fire today and proceeded to install CM9. It successfully installed and I rebooted and when I was prompted to connect to a WiFi network I see the message "Turning Wifi On..." constantly and it won't show any WiFi Networks.
Can somebody help ASAP because I am about to leave for vacation... Thanks
Try opening the terminal and running fix-mac.sh (or you can do it via adb). If it still doesn't work try flashing another rom, like modaco or cm7, and if the problem persists contact amazon because the wifi controller is broken (happened to me and is happening to several people).
Hi all,
When I flash CM rom or any other rom based on CM 10.1 to my device(n7100), my wifi cannot work.
my phone's wifi can remember the routers that I entered the password, but cannot connect to it. Whether using the DHCP or static IP, it cannot connect to the router.
the wifi signal strength is not good, even the phone just behind the router.
But I am sure the phone is not broken because wifi works fine using the sumsung's official rom. The wifi cannot work in All of CM roms.
I changed so many recovery to wipe clearly but it not work.
this guy had the same problem. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1867005
I change the router's ssid, it still fail to connect to the router.
I rooted my Bell S3 yesterday using mrRobinson's thread, flashing the correct ROM using Odin. I installed CWM recovery and then updated it through ROM manager to 6.0.3.1. I've tried flashing CM 10.1 nightlies from 4/15 and 4/20, CM10.1 M3, and the AOKP from 4/19, along with 4.2.2 JB gapps.
With all 4 of these ROMs, the WiFi has failed to connect properly to my home network. During initial set up, my network shows up with a fairly strong signal, and when I try to connect to it, it shows it as one bar of strength, switching between "connecting" and "authenticating" but never actually connecting. Any suggestions?

Have you tried connecting to any other wireless networks?

No, and there's not really any other networks I would be able to test on.

Unfortunately, doesn't fix the problem.
Did you try wiping cache, dalvik and fix perms?
Any ideas?
I had that problem when running the kit kat rom, switched back to Santods stock rom and the wi-fi problem was gone.

I updated my wifes sghI747m to CM 10.2.1. It now will not connect to wireless unless rebooted. Once rebooted it connects no problem. It sees our wireless but will not connect. It was running 10.2 before without problems. Bootloader is MVLDLK4, Modem is currently MVLUEMK5. My update was as proper as I can do,wipe cache, dalvik etc. should I update bootloader to MVLUEMK5 as well?
