Is it possible to unroot and unflash my Verizon HTC One so that it is 100% stock?

Dude use the search there are sooo many threads on this.

I wasn't sure which one would work on Verizon. I know that it is different from other carriers when rooting (someone helped me root, I did not do anything or know anything about rooting). Would I be able get auto OS updates after unrooting?

There is a thread titled "return to stock LOCKED and s-on" that details how to do this. Complete with troubleshooting and file downloads, etc.. everything needed.

Pay for rooting my phone....

So I recently received a new or refurbished EVO from Sprint. It has the new 2.18 hboot and 5.0.....update. question is I'm willing to pay someone to root my phone using revolution method. Only if ur near the Downey, California area.
I had an old EVO that got the bootloop of death after 2years being rooted using unrevoked. I was reading that unrevoked can sometimes cause this issue. I want to use the revolution method.
Thanks for any replies.
Can't use Revolutionary to root Hboot 2.18. You have to use the HTCdev method. Info can be found here:

I didn't know the HTC dev and revolutionary was 2 different steps. Nice to know.
Another question if you or anyone else can help. There's a specific part on the video he states that if all I want is tethering and bloat removal I don't need s-off.
All I want is the Sprint stuff removed tethering and maybe add a few 3g and 4g speed tweaks. Can I do that without being s-off?
Yes. The only thing s-off offers is flashing kernels thru recovery and flashing radios pretty much.
Btw use flash image GUI for kernels if not s-off
Can be found for free here on xda

Interesting. I've flashed kernels on my current phone through recovery, and I'm still s-on. No issues, either.

Very nice. That's exactly what I wanted. Kernel with sound enhancement.
Tether and data tweaks. I always thought I had to be fully rooted with s-off for kernels to work.
Getting excited now. Last couple questions... There's other tweaks caine has for 5.07 roms(quick settings...). Can I also flash those? Or do I have to be s-off?
Last question the wireless tether app should work just by having supersu and being unlocked or do I have to tweak the system to unlock the tethering service(sprint).
Not exactly sure what you're asking in the first part of your question, but you should be fine. As for the hotspot feature, you just have to be rooted, not s-off for that to work. Most rooted ROM's for the EVO include the hotspot, although some users prefer to use one of the apps from the Play Store.

Love the roms out there, but I want to keep my phone close to stock. I noticed most roms have the hotspot added. Most say hotspot tweak or unlooked hotspot added. So I thought I needed a specific tweak. Or remove a system file.
As for the first question. A dev created or added quick settings flashable zip to the new ota Rom. I wanted to know if I can successfully flash this zip? Hopefully that makes more sense.
This is the feature I'm talking about. Calkulin made a new deodexed ota Rom and ca1ne created this feature in a flashable zip.....

That should work fine. It's just a script to add some customization to the ROM.

Yes that exact one, follow all directions carefully, and all will be great I've done 2 evos with that method and it works great

Great.... Too late now. Lol. Even if I leave s-on it voided right? I'm guessing yes since I entered that long token code.
I wouldn't sweat it.

The "simonsimons34 Wildfire S tool" that is used in that thread is not available. The service that was hosting the download file, some how messed it up or lost it or something, and the developer is having to recreate it. No time estimate on availability that I know of.

[Q] Getting Started...

I am getting this tomorrow and I want to unlock it, root, flash it to PagePlus, and install CM10 or a similar ROM on it.
However, I have no idea what order I need to do any of this in though and I'm not sure how to setup PagePlus, I just heard it can be done.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks

Well I figured out it's Unlock, Root, ClockWorkMod Recovery, Flash Rom. Not sure when to setup PagePlus on it.
I searched PagePlus in this HTC One V forum and the only result was this thread.

Hey guys my wife wants her phone unrooted, it's completely stock. The unroot link is dead. Anyway can I switch s back on and get rid of recovery without wiping her entire phone? She just wants the update to go through. Thanks

If your talking about "s-on" that's for HTC devices, I think you're in wrong thread bro. But if trying to unroot the SPRINT S3 You just need to flash stock recovery and then let it update, it should let the update go through

If on a custom Rom it won't... If you've modified any system files it also won't go through... If you haven't done any of these, flash stock recovery (can be found with a search or by clicking the link in my Sig) and then let it update and reodin a custom recovery....

No, thats not. I suggest you do more reading because Samsung devices do NOT involve NAND locking (S-ON/S-OFF)

Actually, just an fyi the s3 on Sprint comes with the bootloader unlocked (s-off) we do have a bootloader (download mode) it just comes unlocked cuz Samsung is cool like that... so in a sense we don't have to worry about unlocking, you are correct, but only because Samsung has shipped the phones already unlocked... (of course if people keep using their warranty because they brick Sprint could change this, just saying)

Bootloader unlocked is different from NAND-unlocked (S-ON). On HTC devices you have a locked bootloader as well as S-ON, they're two completely different things

[Q] Unrooting question

I'm wondering why I can't find a sticky on how to unroot? I would think lots of us restore to factory again, unroot and start over, I'm surprised there's no guide stickied.
That being said - does anyone have a link or guide to returning to stock - or better yet returning to stock/rooted?
My phone really need a reformat...
Thanks!
There is a sticky in the general thread with exactly what you are looking for. Has root roms and other links in it.

Sim unlock for S3 T999

Can anyone recommend a fast, reliable, reasonable unlock service? I've been waiting a week for T-Mobile to send me codes and I need these done reasonably soon

These are on 4.2.2, didn't want to download the rom/radio shuffle. But thanks for the pointer

Better said, I want to keep these absolute dead stock, not unlocked, not rooted, no custom anything. I took a look at the development thread with the older OTA's, is it that simple just to load 4.1.1, do this and then go back to 4.2.2? Can I do that with the internal 'normal' flash method? (downgrade?) or is Mobile Odin the ticket? Sorry for dumb questions .

Well, the only thing you have to downgrade is the radio. You can leave your rom/system as is, so long as its TW. If youre not willing to root it does limit your options....a lot.
The only real option you have is to flash any of the older official firmware using pc Odin. (Mobile Odin requires root)
I wouldn't go back more than one version to LJC, or you're more likely to be forced to do a factory reset. You may have to do this anyway though even if you just go back one version.
