Is there any mod out there yet that allows us to have a CRT off effect. I see on international and Verizon there are Roms that support it already. I've looked but haven't really found anything.

I dont know of a mod to add it to a current rom, but if you check out the "soon to be released tweaked rom" thread in the general discussion you can download the alpha (but still very stable) version of tweaked and it has the crt off, and FADE off/on
I actually like the fade better

Doesn't it need a supporting kernel though, or does the default kernel support it?

it doesnt flash a kernel so whatever kernel you have now would stay.
and tweaked is a modified stock rom, so the stock kernel should be fine, I installed tweaked last night and I am loving it, I ran tweaked on my note 2 all the time.
I am currently running the saberkernel, that is because I was running jedi rom before moving to tweaked and it works great.

I wanted to ask if we can already enjoy Voodoo kernel on our Captivate Glide. I have read that Inception mod implements it "partially", although I cannot post there yet to ask what's meant by "partialy"... I just don't want to spam to reach 10 posts threshold.
Does Osimood implement the Voodoo kernel (partially, or all?)
Hope you can tell me
Cheers
Tony
AFAIK osimood uses the latest dman's kernel. so it has the same kernel functions as inception ROM.
Yup, I am suspecting that too. Maybe dman or CarpeNoctem can chime in at some point, and tell us which features of Voodoo are currently enabled. I take Voodoo improvements are already enabled by default when playing music with my app of choice... Right? Or should I install a separate apk? (like Voodoo sounds plus, from the market)
Cheers
Tony
Is it possible to get dman's kernel separate from either rom?
I would like that too. So people who'd like to keep close to the stock esthetics, could still enjoy dman's wonderful kernel without having to work on Inc3ption rom to undo some of his work.
i already asked that in the inception thread and dman said that you can use the kernel without the dependency of any rom.
Awesome. Where can the link to the kernel be found?
And if there's no link, is it possible to pull the kernel from one if the roms?
So any news as to separately impement the kernel? What further development is there to make?
I've always trolled these forums, and currently I'm using CM7.3 and it's a little slow, I'm thinking of going back to stock but I like the overclocking options. What is a good ROM recommended by the community for The original HTC Incredible ADR6300? Thanks for your feedback!
I am running CM9 and I love it. It's a little buggy at times, but I'd rather put up with that and have ICS features than not have it.

Well you can just flash the newest stock 4.08.605.15 rom, and then flash a custom kernel like gingertiny. You could use my rom Touch Of Blue. Its mostly stock based on android 4.08.605.15 with many usefull enhancements, and has the gingertiny kernel built in. You could also use one of the many older android version based roms with a custom kernel.

Do these ROMS have options like overclocking, 360degree tilt, and/or have the volume rocker wake up the device?
Thank you so much for your feedback it's great to know the community is still rocking this device.
Try them all.
I bought a used dinc in April, I have been flashing any rom I can get my hands on.

Most all custom kernels have over/underclocking. None of the roms i mentiomed have tilt or rocker wakup, but my rom TOB does have a trackball wake, unlock, or wake&unlock flashable mods.

Thank you very much! I'll look into flashing it and see how it goes! Right now I'm busy with finals but I'll let you all know how it goes. My power button broke off and I actually use a key to trigger the circuit between the points to power on the device, and having the volume rocker wake it up has been pretty convenient, but having the trackball wake it up would be nice because it's sunken on my device a little, thus making it less able to wake up. Could you also point me in the direction to flashing that ability on top of your ROM? Or is it built in?

It is a seperate flashable that can be found in the fourth post of the roms thread here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1492720 Just wipe everything in the mounts and storrage menu in recovery except emmc and sdcard. Then flash the rom, and then flash the mod right after and boot.

Just curious, what version of CM9 are you using? KANG or something or other? Does Bluetooth or camcorder work? If so which exact build are you running? Thanks!
You should also check out Albinomans jellybean beta 3, i've been using his jellybean rom since beta 1.5 and it is the best rom out there for jellybean on the Inc IMO. The only things that don't work are the camcorder and bluetooth.

That has a mirror for the JB beta 3
I currently use albinoman's beta 3 jelly bean rom and it works great for me. That being said I would recommend flashing CyanogenMod's ver 7.2 as it is well tested and a solid first rom to flash. You can find it at cyanogenmod.com. Just click on devices and find the incredible in the list. glhf
Just curious what other users are running? 4.1.2? Updated to 4.3? Any interesting ROMS/Kernels?
Right now, I'm running:
StockMOD Custom ROM Touchwiz 4.3
I'm planning on trying out decimalman's kernel playground, after a failed attempt to run KT747. From what I can tell KT747 doesn't seem 100% compatible with TW4.3 (I can't vouch for any other ROMS, though). Has anyone else had success with a TW4.3 ROM and KT747?
Anyways, what are you running? I'd be interested if anyone has found some good stuff for TW4.3.
KT747 and S3rx was my daily ROM but now I use KT747 on DocHolliday's 4.4 sprint leak.

I'm running SlimKat 4.4.2 build 5 stable with the latest BMS kernel.

Right now using a heavily debloated and customized (by me) Dandroid ROM (Android 4.1.2) with DKP kernel running Intelliactive+SIOPlus along with Greenify and the most recent V4A audio mod (plus NC2 Bootloader). Not sticking with the 4.3 TW battery hog.
Nice Discussion, but let's please keep this on Track. If you have a question, please open a new thread. The intent of this thread is to find out what the users have on their phone. Not necessarily discuss merits or why/why not of their decisions.
So Let's not go Off Track please.

Yeah! It's TWRP with Multiboot feature actually, see here
It's better than CWM for me because it flashes all the ROMs I know of that CWM can flash and it has a more user friendly UI with the fact that it can boot 2 ROMs alternately....
In terms of battery life, I average about 41/2hrs on screen time with data or wifi on and about 6hrs with wifi or data off... With minimal use battery will last for about 12 to 14hrs and when I use DU Battery Saver power saving settings with minimal use it's about 16-17hrs.... Battery life varies a lot depending on usage, how bright the screen is and how much apps are syncing and believe me, I have a lot of apps syncing....
Guys, please note, the purpose of this thread is specifically to JUST list what you have got on your Device and that's it.
It is not the purpose of this thread to discuss WHY YOU HAVE SOMETHING THERE.

I try everything.Like most of them.Usually running Slimrom. For me it is excellent.
I'm running the NC2 version of root66. I'm going to flash Dandroid 5.2 shortly and install TWRP 2.7.1.0.
Ok so I've searched and read up on all these great kernals, but my brain is so boggled and confused on everything, I'm hoping 1 of u great devs can advise and or gimme your opinion on what's right for me considering what I'm looking for:
I'm running stock rooted rom 4.4.2 sense 6, twrp 2.7.1.1 verizon
Basically I'm just looking to stay as close to stock as possible while at the same time enabling wake gestures (double tap to wake) etc… I don't really mess with over/under volting at all. 1 more thing I'm looking for is the system to mount as r/w automatically on boot. (im pretty sure I read the kernel is what controls this) if anyone can guide me on which kernal is best for what I'm looking for, it would b much appreciated…
Kernels are all a matter of opinion and what works best for the end user. Try each one for a little while and find what works for you. They all should have system r/w access by default. The only one I think doesn't is the actual stock sense kernel which none of these roms use. I would suggest however that you upgrade your recovery to version 2.7.1.2 from here. http://mdmower.cmphys.com/twrp-m7vzw/

Also give the below kernel a try. It has some more bells and whistles for battery and performance optimization. I don't know if it specifically has gestures, but it does have dt2w s2w s2s in it. I get amazing battery life compared to stock kernel with absolutely no loss in performance. Post #214 that I linked has the 4.4.2 version of the kernel and is up to date with kernel.org version and security/stability fixes. (Just read the OP of the kernel threads to see if they upstreamed the kernel version patches, like that link for 4.4.2 is kernel version 3.4.99)

If you get bored... And want yet another to try, I did post one in the stock thread a while back, just search that thread for wake gestures.
I'll wind up giving both Kangaroo and Santods a try eventually… Definitely more confident now that I've flashed roms kernals boot splash screens, recovery's, etc…
I am coming from the Note 2 and on that phone I used RWilcos Mostly Stock ROM which is basically just the stock ROM with small tweaks, root, bloatware removed etc.
It did not have any bugs that effected the functionality which I've seen with other ROMs (CM etc).
Does anyone have a recommendation for a 100% functional stable ROM almost that won't remove all the great Note features but still have the added features and performance, battery life , root etc of the custom ROMs?
Thanks for any help.

First of all, is the phone new and already updated to stock 5.1.1?
If so you have a locked bootloader (but still have options) .
If you have 5.0.1 or older version your in luck.

Best of the best by @tx_dbs_tx.
CM and ports require more attention whether it be developer, user or both.
Stock-like TW narrows it down for you. IMO, the two most active and capable developers in TW for Sprint Note 4 are tx_dbs_tx and freeza. They both have released very stock and also modified ROMs. Then there's OBAR that got a lot testing and users as well to make sure the bugs were squashed; still has support and also user community support.
If you don't want to get into kernel tweaking but want something with default and optimization out of the box- better than stock, consider freeza's Beastmode kernel or the newer Rage kernel that is integrated in Note 4our ROM (Don't be put off by the beta; it's stable but more customization is expected). Otherwise, take your pick and run the included kernel or choose another custom Android 5.1.1 kernel like AEL or Emotion for Sprint Note 4.
Personally, I prefer freeza's kernel. I've posted some battery stats in freeza's Beastmode kernel and Note 4our ROM threads.
I couldn't narrow it any further than this. You'd have to decide yourself or try as many as you like to make a definitive decision. Lots of choices and opinions vary; that's a good thing.

Which one of freeza's kernels gives better battery? Have you compared them to AEL? I'm using AEL 6.2,and while it has decent battery, it lags a bit.

IMO, they're equal on battery.
Rage may be slightly better on multitasking but there's extra scripts in play with the integrated ROM.
No lag but I've ran freeza kernels since Beastmode because they're close to stock with no setup to tweak.
Prior to that, I preferred stock kernel but thanks to Samsung, can't run it with root anymore. No recent compare to AEL or Emotion.
