[Q] Update to 4.3 when im on 4.1.2 rooted - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So the 4.3 update has arrived to my country but I am not able to update OTA because I am currently rooted. How do I update to 4.3 and maintain root from 4.1.2 rooted? The phone is scandinavian (Sweden)

There are some apps that temporary remove root like triangle away or jellybean unroot etc

Can you please specify which apps that can for 100% unroot my 7105 in order to install 4.3? How do I root 4.3 once installed?

If you are rooted then why would you want to update with ota?

Presumably, if it keeps root like he is asking, it'd be quicker for him to accept the update on his phone than go to a computer, download the update and then install from there.
What I meant is that if he is rooted then he can flash any version of android on his phone and doesn't need to update with ota

Rooted doesn't mean he has a custom recovery and can flash easily.
So in this case ota is easier.
And ota updates really are updates, which means you don't lose your data.
You can take the OTA. I took the update and didn't have to have stock recovery. I had to restore a backup of completely stock 4.1.1 because an audio mod was making the update fail. CWM also has a protect root option after the update and will allow you to switch back to stock recovery if you want.

How can I manually update to 4.1.2

I used to be on 4.1.2 but it was rooted and I wanted to unroot it but when I unrooted it the only option in kies was to go to 4.1.1 and I was ok because I was thinking that I will receive the ota after that but no.. There is no ota and I couldn't find the ota in SamMobile website. How can I "fix" that? My galaxy s3 is unlocked and I use it international.
Thanks!

Just download a 4.3 firmware for your country/region from sammobile.com and flash it via odin.
Steps to flash odin package via can be found in the forum.
If you want to get update via OTA,reset binary counter and system status and then go to settings->about device->system updates.
OTA update subject to the availability of 4.3 firmware in your country.
NOTE:The official 4.3 firmware contains knox bootloader and thereby after flashing 4.3 official, you cant rollback to previous firmwares.
You can also use kunal.shah's 4.3 firmware package,it doesn't contain knox bootloader or you can also flash official 4.3 based roms.

Just rooted my phone using Kingo
Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100
Build XXUEMK4 (India)
Knox Bootloader
WITHOUT tripping the Knox Counter!!!
Though Device status shows "Custom"
Can be taken care of by Using Xpose Framework & Wanam
Thanks.
Major.
Search the forum for further instructions.
Forgot to mention that i have Galaxy note 2 GT-N7105.
Would it be possible to flash 4.3 via odin then just root again. This is coming from a stock rooted firmware.Would the new bootloader cause any problem in rooting. Thanks.

Still on 4.1.2 unrooted. Should I root then update or update to 4.3 then root?

I have heard issues with 4.3 and with all knox stuff.. is it advisable to root now?
If so use kingo app for 4.1.2
anyone?
no one?
It don't matter just choose one. Am 4.3 rooted with no Knox. I just deleted the files
