Hi Folks, Greetings from Dubai.
Recently I flashed my device with the "leaked" or "official" Android 4.3 firmware on my Note II and was trying to tinker with CSC to change unfortunately couldn't succeed! downgraded to Android 4.1.2 things got messed up with, my Note II says I have custom ROM and KNOX warranty: 1 again I flashed with the same Android 4.3 things got back to Official ROM but I'm totally dissappointed with KNOX Warrenty: 1. When I tried Installing KNOX process works with downloading when it comes to install error message says: "Your device is not Authorized to enter Samsung KNOX mode" Kindly help me out with this issue.
Regards,
Note II
If you are trying to reset KNOX warranty count then remember KNOX warranty count is not reset able up to now.

Okay but I think it's not clear what exactly you are trying to do....if u installed 4.3 firmware than knox is already there in boot loader.

I'm on Android 4.3 Knox is preloaded when you click on it it will direct you to download option download process starts asks for passoword and PIN till here everything works perfect when you login in with password and PIN message says "Your device is not Authorized to enter Samsung KNOX mode" take a look at the screenshot
KNOX container has signature & its modified when you try to downgrade to 4.1.2.
u already mess up with the knox warranty..right now you can not use any knox related application as there no work around to reset the knox flag.
To the newbie out there, do not blindly flashing if you do not know what will you face afterward.READ and do some research first. If not, there is a chance you will end up like this user.

Hi,
I have Samsung Galaxy S4 with Android version 4.3 and Build number XXUEMK9 which I recently upgraded to via Samsung Kies3...
I can open the KNOX login screen but when I enter my username and password I get the same error "Your device is not Authorized to enter Samsung KNOX mode"
Can you kindly advice?

hi I know what is the problem.
see it happened to me also and I figured it out, there is no need to flash rom again. All you have to do is flash it with a accuwether widget update that's it .
you know there is new s4 weather widget, download files put it in your card and just flash it you are done..
you can get the link for download at you tube search for how to install s4 widget on note 2.
best of luck
btw your widget is not gonna change ok ,it will be the old one but your wifi problem will be solved.

T-Mobile finally pushed the 4.3 update earlier today but DO NOT UPDATE YOUR PHONE IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR ROOT! It comes with a locked bootloader. Therefore, once you are on 4.3 stock, you can only flash stock firmwares then. If you try to root your phone on 4.3 with the standard method, it will blow your efuse and void your warranty!
AGAIN, DO NOT UPDATE 4.3 VIA OTA OR ODIN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO VOID YOUR WARRANTY. IF YOU HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THAT, FEEL FREE TO UPDATE
Info on KNOX:

What we know so far (I think!)
1. Upgrading to newer Samsung firmware will upgrade the bootloader to knox bootloader. this will give an additional 2 lines in download mode about knox status.
2. If the Knox warranty void line says 0x1 then you cannot use knox softwareas your device has been flagged as insecure. By this i mean that if your workplace / company supports bring your own device to work for corporate emails etc and they use knox to keep security your device will not allow this. You are still able to use future samsung firmware releases with the knox flag 0x1. hope this makes sense. sorry for any confusion this has caused!
3. If the knox warranty line says 0x0 knox will work.
4. with the new knox bootloader root will work, however rooting with CFautorootwill trip the knox flag. thanks @DjeMBeY for correcting this point you can use the root method (Root de la Vega) described here for rooting a device with knox bootloader.
5. If you try to downgrade to earlier firmware / bootloader it will set the knox flag to 0x1 i.e. void.
6. once the knox flag gets set to 0x1 there is no way to set it back (that anyone has found yet anyway!)
7. some newer 4.2.2 software that's supplied with the knox bootloader has been repacked by devs to not use the new bootloader and it all works fine you can still keep up to date.
8. I've seen people trying the test build of 4.3 touchwiz without the new knox bootloader sound and wifi does not work. This is no longer the case, see point 12.
9. There seems to be a big question mark as to weather Samsung will allow hardware repairs under warranty with the knox 0x1 flag
10. only seems to affect GT-i9505 at the moment!
11. Software affected thanks to @DjeMBeY
12. it is now possible to install custom 4.3 TW roms which have been modified to work without the new knox bootloader, do make sure that they are free from knox bootloader before flashing. Do note also that if you already have knox bootloader flashing anything even these 4.3 custom roms will still trip your 0x1 flag

There is a Odin tar for T-Mobile MDL modem here. If you didn't take the OTA but Odin the modem you "should" be OK with this. Be sure to thank the OP of that thread!
I just wanted to throw this out there... I had the stock ROM but rooted. Did my update through Kies fine. My data stayed intact. However, as some others have reported, I lost my root. Now I'm not sure how to get it back. I've seen mention of rooting it another method will void my warranty but I can't find info on how that's done.

i need help, how to root JB 4.3 on N7105 without any blocking from that ROM?
coz all root tools on device automatically blocking by the software.
thank in advance
I used FC_Auto_root from chainfire. It worked eventually when he updated the app SuperSU. I could then disable Knox and now I have root access.
Be aware that you will probably get "KNOX WARRANTY VOID 1" when you flash FC Auto Root.

I don't know if there is a safe way. And if you have the Knox Warranty Void triggered, there is no way to untrigger it, as far as I know. Maybe it will be possible when the clever people have had some more time working on it. Unless it's an eFuse, as many people believe...
Anyway, when I first rooted the phone and started it, SuperSU was constantly being closed by Knox. But after chainfire updated SuperSU to 1.80 I was able to update it from Google Play and start it. It told me that it had detected Knox and asked me if I wanted to disable it, which I wanted. I can't find any settings in the app that says anything about Knox.

Hi
Earlier this week, I received a notification saying that a new official Samsung update (4.2.2) was downloaded and needed to be installed.
After installing I realized that 4 Knox applications were added to the App list, and there were more counters listed in downloading mode.
Is it possible to downgrade back to the 4.2.2 that came with the phone to remove Knox?
It came with I9190XXUAMF7, and now it is on I9190XXUBNA1.
Thanks in advance

no ..and btw you should have been more careful about that .. u didnt have knox bootloader now u have ... if u flash any other bootloader or rom before BNA1 ur system will crash u cant downgrade ..also knox when turned from 0x0 to 0x1 it cannot be reverted back for now so u lose warranty if u have one
And if I do a hard reset?
Makes no difference. There's no way back.

There's no way back. If there was, everyone here trying to mod their phone and not lose warranty would be really happy and there would probably be more than one thread showing you how to do it.
Hey, everyone! I tried googling this for hours and I still haven't found a solution, so here goes:
A couple days ago, I deleted an important image from my T-Mobile Note 3 and I was freaking out, searching high and low for a solution. I read on Yahoo! answers to download DiskDigger, but the device must be rooted in order to install it. So, I tried to root my device with KINGO Root, which totally failed and then my device just went into bootloop and I thought I messed up my device for good. Luckily, on a different thread someone suggested to use the Youtube video GalaxyNote2Root made to unbrick my Note 3. (Even though it was for Note 2, it was the same concept and I did find the stock firmware on samsung-updates for my Note 3.) It ended up working successfully and then I continued to try root my Note 3 using Odin and the video instructions on xda forum (which I should have just done in the first place) and that worked successfully, too.
Now, my problem is, is when I went to update my Note 3 under settings, it says "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available." I tried using Triangle Away (I don't know if I did it correctly) and also 1-click unrooting my device in SuperSU. I'm a huge noob at this rooting stuff, but what I gathered from all the research I did on Google, I apparently tripped "Knox". When I go into download mode it reads:
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Official
Knox Kernel Lock: 0x0
Knox Warranty Void: 0x1
So, a couple questions I have are, how do I "unmodify" my Note 3 so I can get updates? Is there a way to reset my Warranty Void back to 0x0? Will this always happen if I want to root my Note 3? Thanks in advance!
you can not revert knox back to 0x0, no method so far for this....
so you can receive updates, just flash through ODIN, the firmware ... I believe all Samsung phones and tablets will tell you about being modified for updates, if you rooted the phone.

well, you can just reodin a stock unrooted firmware, and then otas will work again, but Knox is basically always tripped.
why even use odin when you have SAMSUNG KIES. put your phone in download mode first, load KIES on your computer, then go to tools>firmware upgrade and intialisation and then follow the step by step direction.
if this helped just press the thanks button!

when u flash the stock firmware in Odin it will overwrite root, so no worries. just follow the first part of this guide. obviously don't flash root, or custom recovery. just follow the first part of this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2765014
or, you could also go to a website called sammobile and download the latest ne6 firmware. The link I provided is also the latest ne6 firmware guide, and like I said just follow the guide up to the the root part and you will be good. it will over write root, and whatever else. good to go.

yea, you must of done something incorrect. now, you won't have any updates after following the ne6 guide, as you will be on the latest firmware. but if you continue to stay on it you will indeed be able to grab otas when they come. personally I would just root, stay rooted, and keep up to date with roms, and kernels, and all that crap.
Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum and I am a beginner so I must apologise in advance for my ignorance.
I was looking to downgrade my Note 2 from 4.3 to 4.1.1 to unlock it, and I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612485
I followed the instructions properly. I rooted my 4.3 with CF auto root, and then I tried to flash the 4.1.1 firmware onto my phone.
Now it is stuck at the boot screen, and I'm so shocked because I did everything correctly.
I can still get to "ODIN Mode" by holding volume down, home and power, and it says:
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Custom
Knox warranty void: 1
What have I done wrong?
Thank you.

On the first post that you've followed says that "It may or may not work for you" so you only have 50% chance. AFAIK 4.3 firmware has Knox already. Did you flash the 4.1.1 successfully? If yes, maybe Knox is restricting it from booting. If not successfull, maybe the files of your device have been messed up. So you have to flash again your previous rom using Odin. Why don't you try it. Since you already tripped your Knox to 1. Meaning you've already voided your warranty.

Ok got it, thanks man. I'll probably use Odin from now on too.
Is there currently no way to restore the Knox count? The phone doesn't have warranty anyway but if I can't use Knox enabled software in the future I guess it will be difficult
Since I'm back on 4.3 I'm looking to see if I can unlock my phone somehow, I'm looking to study abroad soon and I need it done, and I can't do it through the official carrier so I'm a bit desperate. What do you reckon I should do?
In the tutorial that I mentioned in my first post, he didn't say that I should factory reset the phone. Shall I try downgrading again and then do the factory reset? Will it help at all? Like it says here: http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-downgrade-firmware-on-samsung-galaxy-devices/2/

Downgrading from Knox-enabled-bootloader to Non-Knoxed-Bootloader may brick your device. Your lucky that it didn't happen on your first try. From what carrier are you locked on? Since your on 4.3 Knox bootloader, maybe you can try other custom rom that depends on your current bootloader. Or try to upgrade to Official 4.4.2 from sammobile then install PhilzTouchRecovery 6.26.6 then root it, then find a custom rom that fits your device and can also unlock your device. Maybe you can ask Dr. Ketan if he has a rom like in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472270 for your device. And I think he can help you with all of your concerns. Cheers!
