no update galaxy note 2

Hi good day
Im philip eli nalzaro
I bought my unit Galaxy note 2 from singapore--
And im using my unit here in the Philippines-
And ive been wondering why is it until now I have no update for Jelly bean 4.1 2?
Can u help?
I saw the post that its by country
And Philippines is now included on the country with updates-
Im a Globe telecom subscriber
And according to Globe, updates on jelly bean 4.1.2 started last january and until now, No updates can be found on my phone-- whether I do it manually ir not-- and even KIES-

Download the latest firmware for your country or if a firmware is specifically available for your carrier. Then flash it. You will be able to get all future updates with ease.

I did that and its only 4.1.1
ANd every time I do it the screen says "the latest updates Hve been installed"
IVe contacted the local carrier whay they said its already on the air since january
Any recommendations?

Hi I tried using kies, still there is no update for 4.1.2
WHats my next step? Phones at singapore have the 4.1.2 update already
ANd hopefully I wont have to root my phone

Is this based on my build num? I realy dnt want my phone to be rooted at this time

Yeah download a custom rom. Look into development and original development section. But you will loose spen features like multi window, s note.

How can I save my poor Note 2 from SDS ??

I have got an insane chip (checked via eMMC Bug Check) on my Note 2 (N7100) running stock JB V4.1.2 .....
How can i save it from a painful death (SDS) ???
Really need some expert advice from our real knowledgeable forum friends.....!!!:good:

Any help will be really appreciated guys , i have not rooted my device as yet... If rooting is necessary to eliminate chances of SDS then i am ready to do it...!!

Update to latest official stock ROM and you should be safe

The latest official stock ROM in my country is JB 4.1.2 ..... Am i missing something ??

If you don't use custom rom. No matter just put the latest firmware.
If you enjoy custom you must put a custom kernel and another recovery like pgilz or twrp

Which 4.1.2 build are you running? Anything after dll7 I think should have the fix implemented.

What is "dll7" ?? Please help me in this matter , i am a complete nube !!

Yes, the stock kernel/rom should include the fix.

It's the build number/version. Can't exactly remember how to check it on Samsung roms, I think you dial something like *#1234# in the dialer.

Try rooting and installing custom rom. It might solve your issue also as it resolve my random restart problems before.
Btw I used android revolution hd v17.

Thanks so it is basically old stock based custom roms and aosp/aokp that has that problem...

[Q] updating to 4.3 problem

Hey guys, I have a problem. I am on tweaked 2.4.1 ROM and
I was trying to try some of the latest cyanogen mods and PAC man
Roms. The only problem is that when I get them to install they
Don't do anything and as soon as it boots it says 4.2 aosp keyboard
Has forced closed. I also can't get menu or back button to work.
I have heard no one talk about this so it is probably something I

Sounds like you flashed 4.2 gapps instead of 4.3

Only flash roms from the Verizon HTC One forum. You'll run into issues with roms not made for the Verizon variant. There are several available for us though. I'm using Viper right now, Ecliptic is a great rom and I can't wait to try unSense tomorrow.

but im using vzw htc one in india and i dnt want all the restrictions and apps from verizon...
so i want to install international, asia or india version.

I'm not sure about that...I would assume you'd still have the same issues because the hardware is the same. What restrictions are you talking about? Most of the ROMs we have available are debloated so you won't have the Verizon apps if you don't want them, tethering works, etc.

Its not possible. just a verizon version roms. With root you can delete all verizon stuff.

I'm guessing you'll have to toggle the network setting on either Rom to get it to work with whatever network you're using (gsm?). You can change it in Venom Tweaks...Phone Info under the Misc tab.

S4 (I9500) received OTA update in Russia and India (so far) and no word from devs yet. Weird.

Have you given another crap to our Development section?

I guess it's not knox free, you should mention this explicitly.

does it contains multiuser support, an animation while opening quick setting, screen pinning

This rom for me didnt start as it stuck at samsung boot! So its boot loop for me

No. and I am not trying either now. On Prism barebone rom and all are working fine.

I have flashed this ROM, i can't find any Multi user support.
The ROM is working fine and it is Official i believe. The only thing i have noticed is - sometimes i get FC in the Contacts application. Rest is fine.
And the music player widget is a transpare one.

How you flashed it? Mine its not booting up!! On which option on odin we have to flash thi? I have flashed on pda and the rom is not booting ip

it takes about 10 mins to bootup ! sir after flashing !
after that it boots properly !

I waited 15 mins bud but didnt happned! I will try again and will report you back

Try a factory reset through stock recovery. Then it will boot with in 10 mins.
It workek for me
