Buddy has a z1 that has a version 5 of email that solves many of my frustrations. The native for the ZL is 4.2. Any way to upgrade the mail client?

using PPC2003, I am having trouble connecting to the inbox using .net compact framework. I need to monitor incoming sms messages from within my code. MS have 'retired' the old api's and implemented some new cemapi stuff which I am yet to see work in .net. can anyone shed some light on this ??

Has anyone tried the new messaging features with Exchange SP2 (using the Messaging and Security feature pack. This is the capability which provides Blackberry like email notifications. Exchange ActiveSync needs a cherry on top, and boy this would be the one!

- emails older 1 month cant be synced
- mail size cant be setted to full
also tried to find something about it, no luck yet ...
Also I have had no luck with the non-sense roms to get synch setup if security requirements are in place (unlock screen with pass or pin)

using parlingo instead yahoo messenger...
I think its better u use Parlingo ( which u can find here easily by search) instead of using yahoo messenger. i'm using it long time with no problem.

unfortunately YM is not available on any version of windows Mobile. your best bet, like our mate above said would be to use Palringo. you can have all your IM networks, right from facebook chat to YM on one software.

I have bought my htc hd7 from o2 germany.
2 weeks ago, mango upgrade is available for my phone. I have updated my WP succesfully but,
this mango is different.
no messenger, no wifi hotspot, no general ringtone option etc.
my mango version is 7.10 (7720)

Hey buddy...I don't think the official wifi hotspot and general ringtone have been released.therefore, we are on the same boat,no worries.
In regards to the messenger,make sure you sign in to the correct windows live account,as microsoft don't allow secondary live account to get the messenger functionality and they blocked IM+ from offering live messenger...which is shame....
If you confirmed you use the same live messenger account as the primary account in your phone,then you can just simply go into messaging hub and set the chat status to online. For facebook,just go to setting and add the facebook account.

For the wifi hotspot,i think it is coming soon...got people reported that Mozart in India already receiving the latest HTC update which added the wifi hotspot function. However,not sure when for htc HD 7...I think it won't be too long.
For the ringtone stuff,I didn't use custom ringtones much(honestly never use it before). AfAIK, there are apps on marketplace that you can buy and download some new ringtone...
Is it a spl update?
i can't remember an older spl but now,spl is 5.xx
