Yes, it say : "waiting for device" (connected, drivers ok), i tried unrevoked3 and it ends with something like : "Is your firmware too new?"

Do you have usb debugging enabled? And do you have any programs like HTC sync installed that connect to your phone automatically? If so uninstall them as the clash with revolutionary.

Yes, usb debug is enabled. i have only samsung usb drivers and i uninstalled them and then installed htc drivers. I used all of these 3 drivers(on pic) and none of them works, still waiting for device.

Do you have any android pc programs that use the adb command system? They may be causing issues.

Nope, its primary gaming station, i manage to unlock bootloader via www.htcdev.com/ but unrevoked3 and revolutionary is still at the same state. Only change is on the pic below.
---- i found your tutorial so i am trying it now : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2262345
---- SUCCESS next thing i do from your tutorial was, pushing CWM and than reboot into it and flash this CM9 ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1967851
I thought i will be faster (boot is still tooooooooo slow) so whatever... i got better looking, more user-friendly rom than stock.....in info it says 312MB of memory, my galaxy S2 says 790MB so i think it is normal(part of memory is grabbed by gpu or something?)....in the end, its better buy new phone than trying to improve the old one...............thanks a lot mate!

You can use this method but if your flashing custom roms afterwards you will need to flash the boot.img via fastboot afterwards.
Is your phone carrier branded out of interest? I think I remember revolutionary having issues with some Rom versions that were carrier branded.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using Tapatalk

I edited my last post, it is working now. Is it really necessary to flash boot.img? It's working without it.

flashing the boot.img from recovery is usually required in order for the kernel to flash correctly if your htcdev unlocked. there is no harm in doing it to ensure it works ok it may be the cause of your slow boot times atm..

You didn't s-off it first ?

Unrevoked to root. Please post your phone details so we know which recovery you need - the PVT number specifically.
I recommend Oxygen for a non sense rom. Great battery life and fast

Ok, you can just use unvevoked to root. Just follow the instructions on the website.
Make sure that:
You install then uninstall htc sync before you do anything. This will leave the required drivers on your PC.
USB debugging is set to on, on your phone.
You run unrevoked as administrator if you're not on XP.
You turn off any antivirus.

Oxygen/CM7(/AOSP) is maybe to advanced if you just start flashing.
Try LeeDroid A2SD - its like an improved Stock ROM.

i have downloaded unrevoked and installed then uninstalled HTC sync. Started up unrevoked and it does the 1st part, pushes something to phone and then reboot. it then says waiting for bootloaded. The drivers are installed.

Have you installed the 2 drivers from the unrevoked site?

[Q] Desire hd 2.3.5

My desire hd is 2.3.5, Sense 3.0
I have done nothing about root/ s-off. It's like a new phone.
i want to upgrade to android 4.0+.
What should i do?? (i guess root and s-off, but not sure)i searched in xda and Google, but still no idea.
Can anyone can help? Hope u can give me the link as well.
Hi.
YOU NEED 100% Battery for this!
Fist off you will need to download AAHK (Advance Ace Hack Kit) http://tau.shadowchild.nl/aahk
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER I can not stress that enough. This WILL wipe your phone so if you want to keep SMS's use this download http://tinyurl.com/csl5qx7 (linked to play store)
Do the SMS Backup first if you want to. Then do the AAHK. This will downgrade your phone (wiping) and then root it for you with one button (Easy Right?!)
Now, you need to turn your phone off compleatly, so take the battery out and back in again. Then you need to press the power button and the volume down at the same time. This will take you to the Bootloader screen, There should be some little android guys at the bottom of a white screen. Now you need to navigate using the volume rocker to something called recovery screen and press the power button to select it. In there you will need to find the backup and restore menu using the volume rocker to navigate again. And then you need to make a backup of your current ROM. This WILL take a while.
while that is happening you need to find a ROM. Its personal preference really but one that I use that is JellyBean is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778202 (JellyTime) Very good ROM. Store that somewhere one your computer where it is easy to find.
When the backup is complete reboot your phone by the option in recovery.
You now need to transfer your ROM's zip file over to the phones SD card and rename it update. With the JB ROM you will also need to transfer the Gapps zip that should be on the same page as the ROM that I linked. When that has done then you need to reboot and go back into the recovery screen the same way as before.
When in recovery, you need to "wipe Data/Factory reset" and then just to be on the safe side "wipe cache partition" you then need to find the "apply update from SD card option and select it. This will now update to the JB ROM. When that has done navigate to the "install zip from SD card" option and install the Gapps zip. When that has done reboot and enjoy your shiny new ROM!
Enjoy!

You can use the guide in my signature to learn the basics, if you are not used to it. The rest is reading the manual and the Hack Kit site...:good:
If you need a backup of your current rom, you can unlock the bootloader, flash recovery, make a backup, relock and run the hack kit.
Thank you all.
But there is still problem there.:crying:
I had uninstalled htc sync and install the htc driver in AAHK, but still don't work.

Is the driver installing succesfully? after installing and plugging the phone, you will see the device manager install the driver and will prompt "device is ready to be used".
If that is happening, then make sure that you are using the oem cable and that the usb port is 2.0 and not 3.0. Use a different usb port...that is merely a connectivity issue. Have you checked connectivity per le effen manual?
Yes, I did everything, but its still don't work. I don't know why.

1) that "unrevoked" method wont work for you because its for phones bought before june 2011 and have "android cupcake 1.6" rather than "android gingerbread 2.2.1"
2) i suggest you to root your phone. But there is a much much easier way. And that is to go to htcdev . Com and unlock bootloader. I wont root your phone completely but will allow installation of custom recoveries and Roms.
3) Battery drainage is a hardware problem and almost everyone in this forum has it. My battery never gets above 70%.
Some people had it fixed by calliberating and that is done either by an app or Clockworkmod Recovery.

I must correct you sir, htc wildfire came with android 2.1 eclair and was upgradable to 2.2.1 froyo. This phone never saw an official htc version of cupcake or gingerbread. Cupcake was outdated when the phone was released and htc denied the wildfire could run gingerbread without a gpu. Cyanogenmod 7 was android 2.3.7 gingerbread.
To OP. You need to use revolutionary to s-off your device. Then you can use fastboot to flash your recovery. Root is not needed by you.

Htc Wildfire S Wi-Fi and USB Problem After root

Hi everyone,
I'm having some trouble with my Htc Wildfire S. It's really long story. I decided to root my phone due to its low internal storage but i didn't succeed. Then i realized that my Android version is 2.3.3 and i decided to update it, i saw an update on my phone. After i updated, it no longer connected neither wifi nor usb.
But i know it's my fault. I didn't manage to update hboot(it's still 0.90), and when i tried to update it manually, by my SD Card, radio version was updated and htboot was always bypassed. i tried a lot but the program i downloaded from htcdev said my version is up-to-date(Error 190). When it said that, i ignored and went on my job. But oddly, when i change language option, my device then connects USB, yet i can't still connect wifi, which i can't even turn on and always says error. I tried to fix so hard that i didn't even study my exam i have this morning
Seeing that i am a newbie, please help be simply to get rid of this annoying problem.

Yes dude it's still 0.90, while flashing, it didn't update hboot, said bypassed, and updated radio. But i think the fiurst step in htcdev where we find our phone model to flash with an installation manager, there was an error 190. what i found said that i didn't have to try to update hboot anymore because it was updated. But unfortunately it didn't.

Take the 2nd file and try to let the bootloader flash. Rename it pg76img.zip if its not already. This will hopefully give you s-off and allow the flashing of any radio.
