Hi there. Love the phone. Small problem though - I pull the pen in and out, press the side button on the pen, but nothing - no pie menu. Any ideas of what the issue may be ?
You need to hover the pen over the screen so you can see the pointer on the screen. Then press the button and the menu will show up.

I'll add "the button on the s-pen" I had the same problem and it took me a while to figure out the button is on the pen.:laugh:
I'll also add that in s pen settings there is the following options for when you remove the pen: turn it off when you remove pen, action memo, and air command. 'Air command being the one your referring to' It could possibly be turned off

Wondering how to take screenshots? :banghead:
If like me you were scratching your head how to take screenshots, and pressing a combination of buttons but nothing happened. Check Settings>motion find and enable the screenshot function.
Hold hand perpendicular/vertical on right side of screen, and drag it to the left. Voila it shows you the screen has been grabbed. Find it in your Gallery app.
Hope this tiny guide helps.

You can also:
*) Press and hold the spen button for 2 seconds with the spen on the screen
*) Press and hold home and power buttons

You may find that the motion technique for taking a screenshot might fail if you are in a full screen app
If the Motion is on at setting, sliding palm of you hand from left to right works for me.
For the longest time I thought my home button was broken! But it turns out if the s pen is govering the home button doesn't work. WHY?? Is it just me?
I have no idea what your question is... Can you re-explain this?
When the s pen is hovering/air view, the home button doesn't work.
Just tested it on my phone and it does the same thing. Home button does not work when the S-Pen is hovering. Not sure why but I'm guessing the phone thinks you are trying to do something on that particular page because the S-Pen is so close that it won't let you go "Home."
I think it's a safeguard that if your using the pen, it doesn't allow any touches, whether it be clicking something on the screen or using the home/capacitive buttons. Could be wrong, some things might still be usable, but that's how they explained it in one of the reviews(well they didn't mention the home button, but said you can't touch the screen while the pen is also active on the screen-so I assume it's the same for other selections)

I really like this S pen but is there anyway to get it to work on the back button and the menu button. I find it very annoying I have to use my finger on those 2 butons rather that te s pen.
Any ideas?
Thanks
There are quick commands you can use on the screen to simulate those buttons.
While holding down the button on the S-Pen, draw
"<" to simulate back
"^" to simulate menu

On your phone, go to Settings -> S Pen -> S Pen help -> Gesture
All the S-pen gestures are listed there.

The concept of having a hard Home button is a joke. Just make it the same like the others. But, I've never liked the capacitive buttons either for the problem you are mentioning. The gesture shortcuts help, but it's just a workaround for the problem.

^^ This and you can make your own gestures as well.....
You can enable the on screen soft menu. You have to add a line in system/build.prop. You have to be rooted.

Buy the app
Gmd spen root.
You can make any gesture you would like for back or menu or home. I have even enabled an option so i dont have to push that annoying button on the s pen for back and menu. Google gmd spen root note 2 and there is a free 2 day trial. After the trial i immediately bought the app.
EDIT
Try this

You can also activate the menu and back buttons by holding the S-pen button in, pressing the S-Pen on the screen and dragging down just above the buttons
Thank Enrique Huerte on G+ for that secret maneuver.

Draw a Castle.
You know when you select a piece of the page with the spen holding the button? After that an option to share pops up. Well it doesn't pop up anymore. I have to go into gallery to share it. Any idea how I disabled this accidentally? Thanks

Go to Settings>>>> Spen>>>>Spen help
All of them in there
I'd have to say that Quick Command is so far my favorite S-Pen feature, as the previous posted said check under Settings > S Pen > S Pen Help, or go into your app drawer and open help then tap S Pen and you'll be able to learn about all the neat functionality.
While hovering, you switch from pen to eraser by clicking the spen button then switch back to pen again by clicking one more time, again while hovering.
