Flash 4.3 without PC? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I downloaded the official 4.3 stock file from here to my phone. Unfortunately, I won't have access to a PC for the rest of the weekend. Is there a way to flash this? I have CWM and my GN is on 4.2 and rooted (I'm looking to return to stock and unroot during the 4.3 upgrade). CWM needs zip files of course, not tar files. I wish I could accept the OTA but because of root, it won't install.
[Edit]: Disregard this! Was able to use a PC. See post #5.

I would recommend to install the Android revolution ROM. It is almost the same as stock.

Thank you. I'll keep that in mind. However, I want to return to 100% stock so I can craigslist it.

I'm not sure if Mobile Odin or Flashify from the Play Store would work for flashing factory images. Maybe Mobile Odin would. Someone with a bit more knowledge about that will hopefully chime in for you. Unfortunately the easiest way is with fastboot from a computer.

Thanks all. I got home early tonight and was able to use my PC. I can now happily report that my phone is now upgraded from rooted 4.2 to stock 4.3, the bootloader is locked, unrooted, and fully stock now.
Here's the method I used in case anyone else is interested:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#takju
1. Download 4.3 JWR66Y for Galaxy Nexus maguro takju (with Google Wallet)
2. Unzip tgz file to folder with fastboot.exe
3. Unzip zip "image" zip file inside the newly created folder
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626895
Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>fastboot flash system takju-jwr66y-11-17-2013\system.img
(The numbers correspond to the steps in the above thread)
1. fastboot devices
5. fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-maguro-primemd04.img
6. fastboot reboot-bootloader
7. fastboot flash radio radio-maguro-i9250xxlj1.img
8. fastboot reboot-bootloader
9. fastboot flash system system.img
10. fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
11. fastboot flash boot boot.img
12. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
13. fastboot erase cache
http://www.droid-life.com/2011/12/1...the-bootloader-and-return-to-a-factory-state/
1. fastboot reboot-bootloader
2. fastboot oem lock
3. Done! Be patient as rebooting will take much longer than usual.

It doesnt look too high quality because i made it rather quickly with Paint.NET, which isnt too bad of a program

for the people who dont know how to put it: load into fasboot and use "
fastboot flash splash1 mysplash.rgb565"
for the people with the new radio and the .0013d spl, as always revert to an engineering spl and fastboot it.
NOTE: for people with the hboot-1.33.0013d.img and the 2708 kernel, and using the ezGingerbread ROM for ezterry,i found out that it wouldnt boot when reverting to the engineering, replacing the splash, and simply putting back the hboot-1.33.0013d.img. so i found out one way to not get that problem.
(in terms of what i had to to)
1. Nandroid Backup (which is important!)
2. revert to install engineering spl (haykuro spl,Engineering SPL 1.33.2005, etc)
heres a spot to get one
http://theunlockr.com/2010/03/10/how-to-change-your-splash-screen/
3. load into fasboot by power+back and change directory by cd X:\AndroidSDK\tools or wherever you have it

fastboot flash splash1 mysplash.rgb565
5. command
fastboot flash radio radio-2.22.27.08.img
fastboot flash hboot hboot-1.33.0013d.img
(remember. radio first!)
6. reboot into recovery and flash superwipe
7. Nandroid Restore

Flashed wrong CWM

I used my tool to flash CWM.
I have chosen the wrong option and flashed CWM for Galaxy S2 AT&T.

It's the recovery that I see.
I still come into fastboot mode.
If I flash a different recovery, it does not work, probably because I can not delete recovery-from-boot.p and install-recovery.sh.
Any help?
flash the correct recovery using fastboot
Code:
fastboot flash recovery nameofcorrectrecovery.img
So flash the proper recovery, create a zip with an install script that deletes/renames the files in question, push the zip via adb, and flash it.

That would be no problem, but how can I use adb without being able to boot normally?
Flash the proper CWM recovery with fastboot. Then from the phone's fast boot options boot into recovery. Once in CWM you'll have ADB access to do what you need to.

Tryed it already, but if I flash the proper CWM Recovery it boots into the CWM of the S2.
There I have no ADB access
If you flash the proper CWM and then boot into the wrong CWM, then it sounds like you're not flashing properly.
Flash stock images then re-flash the correct recovery
Flashed TWRP and all is running properly

Another Firmware update issue.

Hey all,
Noobie question time! Did the firmware update (or so I think) and now I do have adb connection but not fastboot? or mounted sd card. (Did re-format and now it seems to be available). I messed something up along the way obviously, it looked very much finished after both adb and the phone were inactive for a minute or so.
Currently in what seems to be factory recovery?

What's next guys? I need twp and Venom update. *** Sideload option available didn't want twrp, because of not having fastboot?
Also showing:FILE/mnt/media_rw/ext_sd/0PJAIMG.zip
File not found.
Thanks for all the help, I'd be useless with out you!
I found out that:
1. Android sdk must be installed.
2. Htc sync must be uninstalled but keep its drivers. (install then uninstall it, keep drivers option!).
3. Use twrp 2.9.0.1 (reboot recovery will not appear until you use this twrp) and supersu 2.65.
4. Do not sideload. Use Fastboot and adb. No matter what!.
Download mode is Fastboot commands. Recovery is adb commands.
When you get to the reboot to recovery bit, boot to bootloader with hold vol+& press power. "reboot recovery" should be halfway down the list in bright lime green font. Read carefully. I missed it first time and panicked.

Shivadow, do you have a link for that twrp I can't seem to find it.
Thanks for the info!
Update:
Got twrp 2.8 on. Won't take newer versions of venom, assuming they need 3.0.
I noticed that the error on the bottom of the device - 0PJAIMG.zip file not found on sd path is RUU related? If so should I try the ruu again as I might have a partial install??
0pjaimg is for flashing but in your case it'll do more damage than good.
You can get twrp 2.9.0.1 from the repo or various sites. Google is your friend.

[FIXED] adb sideload "timed out waiting for package"

Hi guys, i'm new in this forum, so please pardon me if i did something wrong.
i really need a help now, my asus zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) got bricked Yesterday.
this is the timeline why my zenfone 2 got bircked:
1. I rooted my phone without cwm or anything else on around 2 weeks ago
2. Yesterday, i recieved the firmware update message (auto download) and i accidentaly clicked on update now without unrooting first.
3. My phone stuck on the logo screen, loading forever (softbrick?)
4. i've tried to factory reset and wipe all the system cache via recovery mode, but it didn't wok.
5. i looked at some forum and youtube said that i can flash rom my device to unbrick my device with 2 ways : via adb and microsd.
6. using adb sound promising, so i learnt how to flash rom via adb and i downloaded the latest firmware on the official website.
7. i tried to flash rom via adb: i've put the firmware zip on adb folder and open windows command in that folder, i connected my zenfone 2 with usb and start to "apply update from adb" and type "adb sideload xxxx.zip".
8. several times later i got message: "timed out waiting for package, installation aborted".
9. i repeated step 7 and 8 for almost 5 times and the results are same
Can someone help me? I'm really frustated now cause i can't using my phone or maybe share the reference about flash rom with microsd, because i've tried it but i don't really understand how to do it
Thx. in advance for all of you
nb: i've tried to search in this forum, but i didn't find correct answer for me

FIXED!!!
FINALLY I FOUND HOW TO FIX IT IN THIS SITE http://www.asus.com/zentalk/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=39487 THE PROBLEM IS PERSIST WITH MINE AND FINALLY I DIDN'T NEED TO STPCK RECOVERY! THX FOR THE REPLIES GUYS
since you know how to go into recovery mode so i'll skip that part,
use this adb tool instead https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001607611
If you have an external sdcard take it out and copy the firmware you want to side load and copy it to the external sdcard. Now name it "MOFD_SDUPDATE.zip" and reboot to fastboot and choose recovery. It should automatically flash the firmware. Move it to a folder when you are done or it will install automatically every time you reboot to recovery.

I can't install TWRP on my XPERIA M.

Hey everyone, i'm new here, it's my first post, so please be forgiving just in case
My goal is to install custom ROM, so first I unlocked bootloader via Flashtool. It worked well.
Then I rooted the phone via KingRoot, it also worked well.
The next step I wanted to do was install the custom recovery (TWRP), so I installed TWRP Manager app and it failed
I installed it via Terminal Emulator app following the instructions on the twrp website and it kind of worked, but I can't get into TWRP...
Turning of the phone, holding the volume down button doesn't work. It's just booting the system. How to fix it? Maybe i'm booting to the recovery wrong?
Help me please, thanks in advance. And sorry for my bad english
Terminal Emulator: "su" then "reboot recovery"
OR power on the device and push Volume Up several times. Usually the LED turns blue and TWRP is booting.

So obviously it did not work? I assume you are on stock rom 4.3 - so I would suggest to do it as explained here:

[*]TWRP FOTA recovery is recommended, follow this thread for instructions
Download:
Nightly: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=nicki&type=nightly
Install instructions:
Before you install make sure you are on 4.3 firmware 1st with your bootloader is Unlocked and a cwm/twrp recovery installed. if you haven't installed recovery then flash boot.img from this rom zip via fastboot.
boot into recovery
Wipe data and cache
Flash the rom and gapps zip
Reboot

Another Way could be to flash NUI-Kernel. It has built in the TWRP recovery.
But ATTENTION!!!: Both ways won't let you boot the Stock ROM !!!

Yes, i'm on the stock rom 4.3 by sony. The instructions are saying that I have to boot into recovery which I can't do... I even tried to install recovery by command shell in windows and fastboot, but this screen appeared:

Have you tried with Flashtool? They say that after unlocking bootloader the official Sony tools won't work anymore. I'm not sure why nothing works for you. So I do erverything under linux environment and don't know how it works with the Windows tools. E.g. I know the behavior of adb shell looks very different under windows.... Maybe someone else has better ideas....!?!
I assume you want to flash cm 13.
First, download the rom. Then open the ZIP file and copy the boot.img into a folder. Then fastboot flash boot boot.img

Then are you able to enter twrp through pressing vol up while boot (led will turn blue)
Will installing cm13 this way be clean or dirty flash?
Im using c1905 4.3
