This is in the teeny bin thread.
Q: How do I know if I'm soft bricked or perm bricked?
A: For most soft bricks you will see a LG or Google logo and then a black screen. You can also still get into download mode. If you think download mode may not even work, connect phone to a Windows computer and check device manager... if the phone is detected in a "QHSUSB-DLOAD" then there's a good chance you're perm bricked. Otherwise.. you may just be a n00b and aren't doing download mode correctly.
Doesn't look good.:crying:

So....... my LG G3 had a new OTA update for T-Mobile and I was an idiot to download and install the Update(YES I WAS REALLY DUMB TO DO THAT). So when my phone restarted, it automatically went to TWRP and I couldn't boot to system. I tried everything from hard reset to fiddling with the settings. When I attempted to turn on my phone, it wouldn't turn on even with charging the phone, using the buttons, and especially when I plug my phone into my computer. It gives me Code Error 43( Unrecognized USB Device) and now I'm in a hellhole attempting to fix this device by tomorrow. I need help ASAP before I lose my mind
P.S I'm rooted with Purple Drake and using ZoneROM
Can you boot into Download mode ? (Device turned down hold Vol Up then plug in to pc)
Nope. Can't even turn on the device and keeps on saying error 43. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME OUT OF THIS NIGHTMARE

Try to plug it on another usb port. And when you try to boot into download mode nothing happens ?
Yep! For two hours straight and I have all the drivers downloaded. Drivers worked perfectly until it turned off.......
I hope it turns on before tomorrow. Keeping my head up until it is fixed
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...cognised/6a2a5531-8b80-4798-9aa6-ee2dcb705c7f
and if that doesn't help try to uninstall that Unknown Device from your device tree in Device Manager and install the drivers again.
That didn't work either. I believe its my LG G3 because I was fiddling with the "SD Card Partition" and it had an System Fat32 error and it shut my phone off completely and now it won't turn on after that. Is there a way to reset or reverse my Partition settings?
Update: The phone is charging on my portable charger but won't turn on nor connecting via Windows 8.1
I found the problem. After doing some research, my phone is being half brick and im using Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008(COM3) but I don't know how to push files or how to use qhsusb_dload on the LG G3. PLEASE HELP ME

I've never seen a device that doesn't boot into Download Mode.
So you're doing everything exactly like this man does and on 0:25 you can't see that Download Mode icon ?
Nope not working at all, either its trolling me or its officially dead. It just says im still ported into Qualcomm on my screen instead of download mode
Please help guys, I really need help before tomorrow. No boot, no screen,no download mode, no usb connected except for qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 (com3) and can not use lgflashtool. Does this means its a hardbrick and I can't do anything to unbrick this device and I need to call T-Mobile for another phone or can the dev gods help me fix this phone problems soon. Please answer asap
U said, u fiddle with the sd card partition which I think shouldn't do... Best option is to take back for a replacement or repair my friend...
Thats the only option? I heard there is another way to reset it

Put the phone into download mode, go into device manager, ports(COM), you should see LGE then right click on properties, Port settings, advanced, then change COM port 41.then click ok and you should be fine.

As I explained before I cant put on download mode nor turn it on
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
It has to be similar to this but I dont think the LG G2 variant would work on this and forgot to mention the usb is called qhsusb_bulk
I have been trying to get this thing upgraded to 5.0 for a day and half now, and i just flashed it for like the 10th time with lg flash tool to try to take it to stock. The rom i flashed that bricked the device I found in this thead: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2698267
All of a sudden it won't turn on, won't respond to adb or enter recovery with the volume down + power combo.
All i can see in device manager is qhsusb with an exclamation point. I struggled to update this and once i finally did, the device still isn't recognized by the computer in any lg programs or by adb and wont turn on What can/should i do at this point??

I managed to find out that the phone is in something called bulk mode and even found a tool that gets lg phones out of bulk mode. The program located in this thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g...s-usb-t2933830.
It has my chipset in it(The APQ8064) and can connect with the phone. It passes the first two tests (AP, and EMMC) and fails the SDRAM test. If i can figure how to fix the last test and make it succeed, the tablet won't be bricked anymore. Any ideas?
While I was using SM-N910P 5.1.1 N910PVPU4COG5_Deodexed Rom, I changed SecContacts_Note_USA.apk file and it turned into Hard Brick.
It's a typical Hard Brick Hard Brick symptom in which nothing shows up on a screen even I pressed a power button and there is no vibration on the phone.
If I connect it to a computer, QHSUSB_BULK pops up.
After I setup a driver, it connects to Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008.
As I was searching for some information, I could find a solution for Note3 Hard Brick.
However,I do not have unbric.img file as it says on the solution.
I need unbric.img file.
Help Me
Can you get into download mode? Vol down+home+power. Seems odd that just changing that apk would brick your device, trust me I swap files in and out all the time but never had that issue.
Could be your battery is dead too

Just install the ROM again it wont change anything besides having to reinstall xposed if you use that, or audio mods like viper.

Ok, for one thing, changing that file will not hard brick your phone.
You either did something else to cause this issue or your battery is drained or kaput... It's not unheard of around here.
Just out of curiosity how do you know the battery is full if you can't get anything from the screen?

I would definitely agree with this. That file alone wouldn't brick your phone. Trust me, as many different files I swap in and out on a daily basis I've never had that happen.

If you are for sure that your drivers are installed. (Double check our reinstall ). Plus make sure your using a Samsung usb cord (musty be a good one)
But if all that stuff is correct. Then you might have a failing battery or phone. That's about all the help i can provide.
If you could at least get the phone booted into download mode and pc to reconize it. Then i would Odin a stock firmware.
i would like to ask if any one can help me on how i can boot up my g4..

Plug into your pc and see what shows up i. Device manager. See if its hard bricked. Or maybe went into the bootloop issue some users have reported same thing no power no nothin.
i assumed that its a hard bricked because device itself doesnt show any sign that its functioning..like when it is plugged the led will lit..the power and volume down..its not responding.

what exactly do i need to see once i connected it to my pc in device manger?
Theres diffrent modes it can load under many diffrent things but hardbricks are usually something like qusb 9008 in device manager
Sounds like one more than likley youll be sending it to lg for repair for the ilapo
It's probably ILAPO: https://youtube.com/watch?v=lbJXwPmbXFc
I went to the Mega-Unbrick guide, followed it, device manager said Qualcomm 9008, used the mini installer and it appeared to work. Turned it on, boot logo all distorted, and and immediately shuts on and off. Tried to turn it back off to try the full mode, but in device manager it now shows Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E. (COM3)
I have tried everything to get drivers to work, and I got it to show as QS_HLK or something like that for a split second but then went to 900E again.
Googled it, still can't find solutions. Halp.

Tried to flash TWRP on Open Beta. Worked. Tried to flash Magisk. It then started to flash on and off until hard turned off. Proceeded to follow unbrick guide, then it switched to 900E. Fixed it by putting it in Qualcomm mode. Flashed full version. Screen was still distorted, but managed to get it into recovery to sideload the newest open beta. Fixed it, runnin all good now Sorry for wasted time. Leaving what happened to me instead of just saying I fixed it for future generations ^_^
