Team Win Recovery Project 2.6, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It’s a fully touch driven user interface – no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

Same here. Woohoo!
YEA BUDDY! Worked perfect..... FYI at HTCdev select "All Other Supported Models" when selecting device. Just throwing that out there before the question is asked.
I'm assuming Sprint and VZW recoveries are different, correct?
Ok, Correct me if i'm wrong..
First i need to d/l twrp recovery.
Then I need to head to htcdev's site and unlock the device..
After that, I enter Fastboot by holding "Volume down+Power key" correct?
The last few steps im confused, I'm assuming it has to do with plugging phone into pc and doing commands? If at all possible, Can we get step by step on this part? Thanks!

thanks for this, took a little time to get it to work but it was because the phone would not connect to the computer in fastboot when connected to a usb3 slot. If you are having issues try switching to a usb 2 port. took me about a half hour to figure out that this was the problem lol. I am using windows 8.

I was quite the fan of your toolkit when I used the at&t One. It's quite a time saver, and recommend it for everyone. I'm certainly not a noob. I've been doing this since the HTC Hero, and I consistently find myself pulling up your toolkit rather than running adb scripts myself.
Thanks again, and highly recommended.

TWRP is available for the Canadian variant of the LG G2.
ADB is required and it is recommended to install drivers from the LG Website.
TWRP for Rogers or Wind:

TWRP for Bell or Telus:
http://tinyurl.com/lmmfo5n
How to install:
1. Download TWRP from the attachment below.
2. Install ADB and Device Drivers.
3. Enable USB Debugging
4. Make sure your phone is ROOTED.
5. Download Loki Master.
6. Now copy the TWRP recovery image file (openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.2-g2xxx.img) file to ADB folder.
7. Open the “loki-master> bin” folder and copy the “loki_flash” file to the ADB folder.
8. Connect your phone to the computer.
9. Launch CMD
Code:
adb push loki_flash /data/local/tmp/loki_flash
adb push openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.2-g2xxx.img /data/local/tmp/openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.2-g2xxx.img
adb shell
su
cd /data/local/tmp
chmod 777 loki_flash
./loki_flash recovery /data/local/tmp/openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.2-g2xxx.img
exit
adb reboot recovery

and I used the method outlined in Option 2 from the link:

Works like a charm and as for root used the Chinese root method and no funny behavior on my end
Is there a video or in-depth tutorial on this? Sorry but I'm just too new to android and its been quite a challenge. Although rooting wasn't too hard lol.

I'm the one who commented on that page about the Videotron D803 phone, Autorec works fine as long as you do your homework and read about which version is compatible with your specific model.

THIS METHOD FOR USERS WITH ROOT ONLY
There is now a TWRP supported for the LS980 which can be found here.
http://www.teamw.in/project/twrp2/197
click the sprint link and download the most current version
Here is the direct link to Sprint TWRP model from TWRP website
http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/g2spr
If you have ZVA firmware installed, please read this thread posted below before proceeding!!!!! You must flash zv7-aboot.img before flashing TWRP recovery since the zva-aboot.img does not allow you to run TWRP recovery. See thread below on the changes in the ZVA firmware.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2627765
Using terminal emulator to flash zv7-aboot.img on your phone
Code:
dd if=/path/to/your/zv7-aboot.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/aboot
Using adb to flash zv7-aboot.img to your phone.
Code:
1. Download the zv7-aboot.img file and place the zv7-aboot.img in the ioroot folder location.
2. Hold shift and right click in a blank area of the ioroot folder on your PC and select "open command window here"
3. Type adb push zv7-aboot.img /sdcard/
4. Type adb shell
(If you do not see a # type su and hit enter so that you see the #)
5. Type dd if=/sdcard/zv7-aboot.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/aboot
Once done with that place the .img or zip file onto your phone.
Once done with that go to the market and install this app on your phone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify
Then open the app and select recovery image
then browse to where the file is stored ( more than likely its sdcard . . .)
Then hit yep this is correct (if it is)
Done!
This method is for TWRP 2.6.3.2 not for the updated version of TWRP i recommend installing 2.6.3.2 and the using that recovery to install the newest one:
To to that place the openrecovery-twrp2.6.3.3.g2spr.zip on your internal sd
then load up recovery
press the install button
then look for the openrecovery-twrp2.6.3.3.g2spr.zip
swipe to install
ps: to boot into recovery manually press and hold volume down and then power and hold it down both buttons together and it will boot to TWRP
make sure to thank @leroybrute for the flashify idea
ADDITIONALLY when you have done this the very first thing that you NEED to do is go into TWRP and make a nandroid backup of your stock ROM. I have seen so many people lately not doing this and having major problems. This is very important!!!!
Latest official version of TWRP: 2.6.3.3
Please do NOT download and install any other unofficial versions of TWRP since help will be very limited.
As always, I DO NOT TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY for what happens to your phone. Please research and ask questions if you are not sure what you are doing.
Here are the adb and fastboot files you need. Extract this zip file into a folder and put your TWRP recovery image in this folder and follow the tutorial video.
WACOMalt's TWRP flashing method located here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2449670
You will need to download the loki tools which are explained in the tutorial video.
You need to download the Sprint TWRP file here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/g2spr
WACOMalt also posted a tutorial video on how to flash recovery using his method shown here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZSjL6FCyxA

Today is a hectic day since the Sprint subforum just created and I was just referencing existing threads that other variants have used for rooting and flashing recovery. I didn't even know about the Flashify app so thanks for giving us the heads up. None of us meant to ignore you but please don't take it personally. I didn't follow the Verizon thread too much and obviously I didn't even know about. Any lessons learned or easier methods to do stuff that you are aware of please continue to contribute to the Sprint development.

well I followed he prompts and installed busybox and patced to write to external sd, but when i click to select my device name it just goes back to the main page of the app.
I think it says Twrp has stopped. very quickly then takes me back to home page of the app.
After checking I was getting the same error. I really don't know what is up with that program for it to do that. I mainly use it to reboot into recovery. You could find the latest TWRP on XDA, save it to your SD card and use a program called Flashify from the Play Store and flash it that way.

Yeah I got it figured out. Thanks for the help got my backup and started messin around with 3g tweaksbox. Phone is pretty sick now. Do you have any idea how change the system font? Tried downloading some from the playstore, but no luck. it doesn't show in the menu, and I don't see any option to add them.
I'll try to check back asap. Work makes it difficult.
