E988 uses KDZ files. TOT method is only for AT&T devices (which E988 ISN'T). There is a thread with firmware links for all variants, and there is a website with firmware images, you'll just have to google a bit
Before you flash, you'll have to check sub-variant for your E988 (HK, TWN... etc.) and grab a corresponding firmware image.

I've no idea about .tot files.
I just use LG Flash Tool 2014 and just flash the .kdz file using that.

Hey, I have a question for you. I want to flash the kdz on my LG G3 D852, do you know a good tutorial that I can follow. I have read some tutorials but they are for other models, and I hear the steps might vary model to model (beside the kdz of course). Thanks for your time.

i did the same thing like this video tutorial and it works. but make sure you download only the kdz file of D852 model and also install the drivers of lg g3 on computer before flashing kdz, otherwise it will not work. ( here is the video tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hk79nNkqtI )

I think there is no tot file for e986. Just kdz. If you have problem with the 4g signal in turkish firmware, flash the e988 firmware i did it so i also had the 4g problem. Now i have no german language but it doesnt matter for me.

I flashed the e98820a hongkong with lg flashtool 2014. I would make a clean install.

lg-firmwares.com is working and contains KDZ files of all F500 variants.

thx dude but this problem is not because the big cores cuz it was smoothly before i tried to flash the kdz on the lgup
i search about this and there this some guys suggest and get fixed by getting the dll file on the lgup but i try that and didn't work out .
after i search i want to try the tot method but i can't find any tot file for my h815p version so can someone provide me with a link.
