I have a HTC One X 32gb white S-OFF.
It is a refurbished new phone actually.
everthing is working except 3g wcdma. It never gets signal of wdcma/3g even near base stations. But GSM is promlemless. I can talk, message and surf net via edge.
So I dissembly my hox and find aout that there is missing flex cable and also 5 golden pins of dock connector are not soldered.
I search that these parts are only dock connectors 5 pins h/w.
But is there a change that they also control wcdma ability?

I'd say that if anythings incomplete in the phone, work to get it back to a normal internal state, after doing that see if the 3G connects.

My phone got really hot and shut off one day for about 12 hours. It finally came on and was hot again. Ever since then my phone will not get any bars and usually it is roaming in non-roaming areas.
I have took it back into bluegrass cellular and they shipped it off to htc for warranty. Got it back and when i went in, they told me it was water damaged and will not cover it.
It has never been in water. I took it apart and it was not water damaged. So I have it apart and it does not appear to be water damaged. So I tried cleaning the contacts and it is still doing the same thing. I tried extending the connectors to the antenna. But that did not fix it.
So my questions are:
1. Is there anyway to fight HTC in saying its not water damaged.
2. Is there anyway to fix this? any ideas?

Anyone know where the location of the wifi antenna location is on the Glide?
Dropped my phone a while ago and the only damage seemed to be to wifi, now I have to stand 2ft away from the router to get -70db to -80db. I assume the antenna came loose but I've checked damn near every connector and have had no results.
I can inlcude some pictures of the insides if necessary.
Hopefully this might help -

Any luck fixing your wifi? I have the same problem with my glide.
Thanks.
My little cousin was playing around with my S4 Mini's USB cable and he connected the USB part with the micro USB one and just now I noticed that one of the things in the micro side is missing, see this picture:

Can you guys do me a favor and check if the second one is missing or mine is just "broken" now. Still, charging and connecting with computer works but I'm worried it may cause other issues such as establishing connections with Odin and such.
Yup, it's supposed to look like this. Read the Wikipedia entry on USB.
Second opinion reporting.
Yup mine looks like that as well.

Thanks for your replies. Feeling relieved now. :victory:
Hey guys, I have an HTC One M8 that I am attempting to replace the charging port. The one I have in my phone (a Verizon 32gb version) has two wires, one white and one black that plug into the main board. They are like the wifi cables you would find in a laptop adapter. The usb port/headphone jack that I got only has one of the little ports. Does anyone know what the cable goes to, or what adaper/radio/lte connection it may be?

i'm having to replace mine and I ran into the same problem. I'm only able to assume that those cables are for stereo audio into the headphone jack. Does anyone know of a reputable company that sells the correct PCB with dual connections?
Edit: I found a seller with one pictured, but I'm still not sure if the correct one will ship.
So I was in the middle of a game, went to switch apps, and this popped up. Not even a reboot has made it go away and I'm honestly sh*tting bricks [emoji24] Can someone tell me whether there's any hope or what is going on? The digitizer still reads touches, I just can't see what's behind that crap...

Not sure if it actually makes a difference. I just thought about it and this is a T-Mobile N4. Didn't figure it would make much of a difference as far as screen hardware went.

The note 4 is known for having heat issues. Its likely that it damaged the flex cable / connection point. The lcd will need to be removed, inspected along the cables for damage and at the lcd/board connection.
