[Q] Help needed GT 9505 turned SGH M919 TMob - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

My phone is a i9505, rooted and with latest Philz recovery. I flashed [ ROM ][AROMA][4.4] KitKat KangBang v1.0.3 [Nov, 13 2013] from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2524837.
Now i have this problem: i lost root, i can't reboot in recovery mode and my phone is now turned from the international version (9505) into TMobile US version SGH M919 so i can't downgrade or upgrade anymore.
Tried to reflash Philz by odin but nothing changed: everytime i try to enter recovery mode the phone keeps booting KitKat KangBang v1.0.3 (almost perfectly working).
What have i to do? Flash original firmware by Odin, then root and mod recovery?
Is so what kind of original firmware should be used? International 9505 or TMobile M919 one?
I'm scared to brick my device and i'd like to have it back to 9505.
Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.

If you can access Download mode (Odin Mode) then you have no problems. If you're too scared to try out flashing back to original, let Kies do it for you. Install Kies and choose "Firmware Upgrade and Initialization". It will ask you for a specific Model number, You should write GT-I9505 and then it will ask you for the serial number, and then it would ask you to switch to download mode and it would download the latest stock rom for your device and flash it.

King regards!

This is very simple if you want it to be. Flash using the instructions at the link then do a factory wipe from stock recovery, flash again to stock and do another factory wipe.
For the flash to stock, just head over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2267895
Follow the instructions and that will re-flash T-Mobile stock everything.

Note 2 n7100 locked to stock rom?

Hi guys!
I have here a samsung note 2 gt-n7100 from Globe telecom (philippines) which has the following software details:
Android 4.3
Baseband n7100xxuena1
Got this OTA from the time it was released..
The problem is i have tried flashing recovery both cwm and twrp but it doesnt seem to get installed, i flashed 6 times already by odin. And whenever i boot my fone to recovery I still get the stock recovery from samsung. Do you have any idea whether the phone is locked and prohibited from any flashing?
I am trying to root and install custom rom but still no lock. I am really stuck.
I already have installed a custom rom to sghi747 and i9305 before so im not a newbie to most procedures.
Can anyone help / enlighten me?
SOLVED guys
1. downloaded and installed stock from for n7100 (singapore) via Odin
2. flash Philz Recovery
3. Flash Mr.Luong custom rom.

[Q] Flashed the stock rom but it is still showing cm 11 splash screen. . .

So, I'm not a complete noob to flashing roms/rooting devices. I flashed cm 11 to my s3, and decided I wanted to go back to stock via Odin. For some reason when I tried to turn on my device it was still showing the cm 11 splash screen and wouldn't proceed any further. It isn't technically bricked. I guess this would be classified as a boot loop to the nth degree. I tired to boot in recovery mode and wipe the cache partition and all user data to the same cm 11 robot taunting me. When I tried the process (flashing stock vi Odin) again to possibly fix whatever might have been a miss, I got the error message on the download screen "secure check fail: sb12." On the download mode screen it also says I am running the official system rom. I don't know what steps I need to take from here to get my phone to actually boot via the stock rom. Has anybody else had this issue or similar? Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.
Is your phone a i747? If you are you running a stock 4.3 bootloader on your i747, you can't use Odin to flash back to stock unless the ROM was specifically designed to be flashed in Odin.
What is shown on the screen in download mode?

I was under the impression the rom I was attempting to flash was indeed intended for Odin. It is the SGH-I747.
The download screen states,
Product Name: SGH-I747
Custom Binary: Custom
System Status: Official
Qualcom Secure Boot: Enable
Warranty Bit: 1
Bootloader AP SWERV: 2
Here is an added bit of fun, in the midst of the process I accidentally checked "Nand erase all," in Odin at one point.
Based on the information provided, your phone is running a stock ATT 4.3 bootloader. The CM11 splash screen is still showing up because the flash did not actually happen. You're lucky your phone was not bricked in the process of using Odin. I recommend not using Odin to flash a ROM that tries to alter the bootloader.
I recommend flashing a custom recovery such as Philz Touch in Odin and flashing a different KK ROM such as Valudis.

My next question would be how can I move the zip files I download to the internal storage of my phone to flash them through Philz Touch?
Have you tried using kies?

I did. It said the the device couldn't be updated, or something to that effect.
Kies will not work without a stock recovery or a rooted phone from my experience.
I would be surprised if kies can restore your phone as ATT never released a full 4.3 stock ROM. ATT only made 4.3 available via an OTA update.

I don't know about AT&T, but I'm on Telus in Canada and I used kies to revert back to stock 4.3 with CWM recovery and phone rooted, and it worked no problem.

So, I know there is a "thanks," button but I feel like that would be a little too informal for how much I appreciate your help! I downloaded ADB to move the rom (I went with AOKP because it was the first one that worked) to my phone, flashed it using TWRP and...BAM! We are back in business. Thanks for the direction, I thought I had a nice, new, shiny brick on my hands for about two days.

Canadian carriers use the i747m while att users get the i747.
The Canadian carriers did release a full 4.3 ROM unlike att who did not.

KitKat 4.4 unmoded needed

Hello, I wanted to root and install TWRP then a KitKat ROM that's NOT altered or one that's been running and is a proven daily ROM. I haven't messed with Roms or phones for some time so I got all the info I need up to the ROM and I cant seem to find a stock rom. Any ideas?
Thanks!

This is the latest NE1 4.4 stock firmware (france) from sammobile uploaded to a different host by an user for faster download speeds, extract the zip file you'll find a .tar.md5 file flash it via ODIN.Then you can just install custom recovery via pc odin (use philz 6.26 ot 6.41 initially and once you get a custom recovery successfully installed you can switch to twrp) now once into philz recovery flash supersu 1.99 from this post flash it right after you flash your recovery ,your phone should be rooted.Few things that you need to do is uncheck auto reboot in odin when flashing the recovery, after flashing philz you should manually enter it by pressing the right combination of buttons ( volume up + home + power) and then flash the supersup 1.99 zip file right away. (place the supersu zip file in sd card right after you flash the 4.4 ROM and before you proceed to install custom recovery)
Philz touch
twrp
NE 1 Stock France
Unclear
singhpratik87, I'm a little unclear on the sequence your proposing me to go through to install a ROM. I thought you installed;
1) Superuser ...... Done!
2) ODIN Custom Recovery (TWRP) ...... Done!
3) NE1 4.4 ROM ..... Downloaded moved to phone but not installed...
Ok here are my concerns, I'm on a AT&T 1317 phone will this ROM work OR would a custom ROM be better? Next, what is Philz touch?
Thanks,
Soggy

See you didn't mention that you were on AT&T,unfortunately it wouldn't work you got to wait for your carrier to release the update. My explanations were pretty straight forward but now it doesn't matter anymore since you don't have the international note II GT N7100. The rom was supposed to be flashed via ODIN not SD CARD (it's a stock rom not a custom rom). And the steps are (for future reference) flash stock rom via odin, then flash philz via odin(uncheck auto reboot in odin),manually enter into recovery mode , flash supersu 1.99(or whichever is the latest) , reboot phone , DONE.
Philz touch is another popular recovery used by note II users .it's based on CWM with advanced features.
singhpratik87..... What custom ROM out there is equivalent to the 4.4 kitkat for a AT&T I317 Note 2 running 4.3? Those would prob be better anyway....
Also this other recovery you mention is it better? Like I said I have been out of messing with phones for a few years Thanks!

None in the International Note II forum that would be compatible with AT&T as far as 4.4.2 is concerned. There's no development for 4.4.2 in your a&t note II thread?
why don't you check out this thread which is specifically for your at&t branded note 2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-2-att/development

Possible solution for Galaxy Note 2 N7100 WiFi problem

Dear friends
I'm going to describe the steps i took for fixing the WiFi problem of my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100.
The problem started last january, when the device got the latest 4.4.2 update from Samsung. By that time, it was not rooted.
WiFi started to turn off by itself, WiFi slider was grey and wont turn on again, searching for ip adress, etc...
I did everything i could find over the internet and nothing fixed it, after 1 month of search i was about to give up.
1. Flash stock 4.3 ROM from Sammobile using Odin 3.09, in my case the ROM was this:http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/23564/N7100UBUEMK4_N7100ZTOEMK3_ZTO/
I tried this with the lates 4.4.2 ROM without success.
2. Do a data wipe/factory reset from the stock recovery utility.
3. Flash philz_touch_6.48.4-n7100 recovery utility using Odin 3.09. File here: https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/n7100/philz_touch_6.48.4-n7100.zip.md5/
4. Root your device by installing SuperSU-v2.40 from philz recovery utility. Get it here: http://download.chainfire.eu/641/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.40.zip
5. Install NI1 Bootloader using Odin 3.09 with the BL tab, get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54320353
6. Install NI1 patched modem from philz recovery utility, get it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m950i4l27cpksrb/NI1_modem.zip?dl=0
7. I'm very happy with Android 4.3 and WiFi working again, if you wanna try to update to 4.4.2, do it at your own risk.
Good Luck
Special thanks to Androidwizzard

Where do I start?

Hi everyone, I just upgraded to the SGS4(M919) from the LG G Stylo.
I haven't been a part of an active development community in awhile, coming from the Stylo where there was 0 development for my variant(No Unlock for Bootloader). I haven't developed anything nor really done anything with samsungs since the SDX-Days when the Captivate was popular.
So my question is where the heck do I start?
Model: M919
OS: 4.4.2
BB: M919UVUFNB4
The in Call screen really bothers me and my husband got a s5(the only one they had) that's 1000 time better ascetically.
TIA, Kristi
Also I see that some have bootloader lock. I have a m919 but it is NOT T-mobile My phone is a unbranded factory unlocked. I bought I brand new from aarons
The m919 does not have a locked bootloader.
To confirm the exact model #, boot the phone into download mode.
If it is an sgh-m919. I would run OTA updates until the phone is running a stock 4.4.4 ROM. This will ensure the modem and bootloader are up to date.
Next, I would flash TWRP via Odin. Once TWRP is up and running, select a custom ROM and use TWRP to flash a custom ROM of your choice.

Thank you for the help.
Download mode, sticker, and settings confirms SGH-M919 however it says at 4.4.2 is the latest version
I believe 4.4.4 is the latest: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SGH-M919/

Are there any recovery images/boot image with sgs5 off line charging screen? I have cm13 and cwm touch recovery but when I flashed cwm charging animation looks like something from a palm pilot from 2002
What is the model # for the s5? I would not recommend using CWM as it has not been updated for a long time. Try TWRP. I believe the charging animation is based on the ROM.
What happened with flashing the s4?

I did flash the s4. I have cm13 my husband has the s5(g900m) and his power off charging screen is pretty.
You could try flashing an s5 or Note 4 port to your phone.

Question, is Odin the only way to install TWRP?
I have some down time at work
Odin is not the only way to flash twrp but I find it to be the easiest and most efficient way.
I think other methods require a rooted phone with and some sort of rom manager app.
