Have u rooted ur rom? if u manually deodex ur rom now, u might not be fully deodex all apps. I would recommend u to flash a custom ROM for simplicity. All the custom ROM here are deodexed.

Sure you can.....revert I mean!!
As a matter of fact, you can revert to exactly what you have at this moment in time.
Have you got ClockworkMod Recovery....
if not, you must install.
When you have CWM.. you just got to make a Nandroid Backup...which is a complete copy/image of your current setup.
This can be restored at any time, bringing your device back to what is your current setup!!!

My friend, I don't know where you get the idea that there is no good rom
How do you come to that conclusion???
Please tell us, as you are obviously an expert!!!
What are your conclusions, having flashed numerous ROM's?? no doubt.....
You should be careful how you phrase what you say.....
you probably mean no offence....
but you have just offended the entire Voluntary Developer Community for this device.....
as in guys/gals working for us for no money,

I looked up at the Android Development fourm but I got a little confused
Right now my SGS2 T989 is with T-mobie's Rom which sucks.
I would like a easy explanation how to update it to ICS rom with RTL fix (Im from israel so I need hebrew to work on this device, RTL)
Probbally You will just say Im a jackass and tell me to go and look for guide but since its not my mother-langugh I would like you to give me a guide that will surlly work..
Try tdjs
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
U need to root your phone first the development fourm have sticky with detailed instructions. Then flash your favorite rom keep in mind these ics rom are based on leaks they will be buggy I recommend darkside rom. I don't know of any hebrow instructions but if you wrote this thread then u can figure it out. Good luck. And try to post this in the Q& A former u will have a better luck

Ok, we get it. Your a TDJ fanboy, noone cares. Now for your question OP, this is the guide I used when i rooted/flashed for the first time. It's made for the T989D (telus) version of the phone but also has instructions for the T989 as well. Give it a try.
http://androidforums.com/galaxy-s2-...d-ultimate-root-optimization-guide-steps.html
Use this to root:
Here
Use this to install a ROM:
Here
Both have Step by Step instructions with a video to help.
I don't why people always say they need to root first, it's BS.
All you do is use odin to flash CWM. No need to flash SU if you are gonna flash a custom rom. I just think people don't know what rooting means or does.
All you need is a custom recovery like CWM, then flash a rom.
If you are staying stock sure, flash cwm and then SU to root it.
Please don't confuse the OP. I mean sure he can do what you said, but rooting first is a sort of standard that everyone follows.

Knowledge ftw.
Knowledge.
AND...a big part of it for me...
Is getting ADB/Fastbooot set up...so that we know it's working.
That way...if they come in one day with something wrong:
They:
A) Know what I'm asking them to do.
B) Know that everything is set up correctly...and we don't have to diagnose driver problems and such while the phone is bricked.
If a phone won't boot and all that noise...
ADB/Fastboot might not be working.
But if the user never GOT ADB/Fastboot working to begin with...we'll never know if they did it right or if the phone is simply in that bad of shape.
OP:
What I said sounds scary.
Just do ONE thing...never flash the stock .img's through fastboot that aren't for your device. (Radios/Bootloaders) Flashing the wrong recovery isn't going to brick you...you just won't have a recovery.
That is the big one that seems to get people into hard (or relatively hard) bricked situations.
And you'll be fine.

There is nothing wrong with using a toolkit, IFF you already know what is actually happening when using the toolkit.
I like to think of it this way: in school, they don't let you use a calculator until they teach you how to do arithmatic. Why do you think that is? Because you would never learn to add and subtract.
It's the same issue with a toolkit. It you don't do things manually first, you will never learn...

the toolkit works fine, but if he has no idea what he is doing and just blindly goes with what it says and stuff breaks, he has no idea how to fix it.
i would rather him understand what he did so if he has issues, we can help him get everything back in order and he will understand what we are asking him to do.

Are you using google translate to convert to eng because your posts are difficult to understand.. This subforum has nothing to do with the ericsson. What made you assume that? Fwiw,a simple google search of "v20c p936 root" almost always returns the required info and related discussion.
Installing rom manager is as simple as installing any other app..

I guess you are not familiar with this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2052321 follow the link from this thread and read you will then understand xilopan69's statement.
In regards to "Installing rom manager is as simple as installing any other app.. " that is not accurate if you are coming from ICS (v20c)..LG has a well documented locked bootloader and if you try to install CWM recovery from RomManager you will brick the phone. In order to install CWM you have to follow the unbricking guide and downgrade to Gingerbread so CWM recovery can be installed. From there you can go to your ROM of choice.

Ok the only need to downgrade to GB is because of the locked bootloader in ICS. Since GB's bootloader is unlocked you can install CWM and from there install ANY ROM (CM9, CM10(.1), v20c,e,f, LiquidNitro, GloryROM, etc.) anything that is a CWM installable ROM. I hope this helps.

As for the linked thread, I didn't realize it was posted in an experia sub-forum.. I just saw the title of "Root Many Androids"..
Thank you for letting me know.
Edit: Why didn't you just link him to the ICS rooting guide in our sub-forum? The TPSparkyRoot method in [GUIDE] Rooting and Unbricking p930/p935/p936 works first try on v20c-v20f for me every time. This would probably avoid confusion like this for newer members.. IMO anyways.
RomManger is an app, not a recovery. CWM is a recovery. He asked for a guide to install Rom Manager. I guess I could have assumed he meant the recov.
I know ics has a locked bootloader.. I thought that if he read the guide he knew that. Sorry 'bout that.
Again, sorry if I came off sounding like a jerk. Not intentional.
