Verizon made Isis Mobile wallet available nation wide today and it supports all the newer android phones except the one. Even the dna works. Any ideas why the one was excluded and can it be hacked in at all?

Must be the Secure Element SIM card that's required. Apparently, there's not one for Verizon. Fail.

What? The if the SE is in the SIM how can there not be one?
Isis DOES (DID) work on the One. I had it working a couple months ago, totally stock.
But apparently they updated it and it took compatibility away from the One. So now it doesn't work.
Not sure why they would do that...stupid stupid stupid.

you shouldnt use ISIS out of principle.
google wallet should work, no?
How can one tell if they have an se sim? I have one that came with my One and it looks different from the one that came with my S3.

I do not believe there is a way to tell. When I ordered my s4, I asked them for the NFC Sim because the customer rep said that i would need it for my wireless charging (I wasnt going to tell him otherwise!) And it looks the same as the other sims Ive had in the past. Since having the HTC One, Ive used the sim and it looks the same as the one that technically came with the phone
Here's an image from Google.
http://www.droid-life.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/NFC-SIM.jpg
Anyway since we have 2 methods of getting Google wallet working there is no reason to use Isis in the first place.

HTC One does come with NFC sim. At least mine did. (see attached picture) Plus, Isis was working for me when I first got my One, then all of a sudden it wasn't compatible. Very weird. I mean, it's not like I'm missing much, the only isis places around me are Coke machines... hah
For everyone having issues with ISIS and haven't seen already, you can now get Google wallet working with tap and pay which is a much better app anyway.

Weird...I have 4 phones on my Verizon account, 3 Galaxy S4, 1 HTC One. On two of the Galaxy phones, there's an option on my device manager page to order the NFC Secure SIM. There's no such option for the One. This seems to be consistent with what I'd read elsewhere on XDA, but if that's really a secure element SIM, then cool. I think I'll contact Verizon to see what's up.
Meanwhile, Google Wallet is working great for me. :good:

Hmm...Google Wallet tap and pay works fine for me on the One. I too was told without the secure element it would never work. I guess my SIM supports the secure element as I use Wallet almost everyday. Of course, I'm not stock
So according to all the blogs, the small update the VZW One got was supposed to enable Isis support.
I updated, but Isis still says my phone is not compatible...

Yes your right about the $10, then if you register a virtual ISIS card (within the app), you'll get $15 more dollars, which adds up to $25.

I'm in Austin as well. Signed up for the card and got the free $10, spent at a CVS Pharmacy no problem.
Only problem is, when I try to click "upgrade to reloadable" or anywhere else on the ISIS cash card, I get the error "Alert: You are not an authorized user."
Pretty annoyed since I'd like to keep using the app, but can't! I'm not rooted, running everything stock and get the error every time

It is supported on T-Mobile's Galaxy Note 2 as of the October 26th version. It used to proudly state "Now supports Galaxy Note 2!" on the "What's New" section in the Play Store but after my complaints to ISIS it looks like they deleted that text.
It is still listed as supported in the app description on the Play Store. Supported devices for T-Mobile are Galaxy S Relay 4G, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, and Galaxy Note 2.
Like I said, I activated the wallet and bought stuff from a store with it but it's pretty worthless since I can't reload the cash card, you should hold off until they fix it.

Just to update the thread, ISIS finally works for me after dealing with their awful support for 2+ weeks (Mostly me repeating myself and them telling me the problem was resolved when it wasn't) but was finally contacted again this morning and it seems to actually work now.
Hope they get their issues resolved before the national launch. In the meantime, I'm going to finally try out the service. Just waiting on my reloadable upgrade to process now.

Because there isn't much we can do about it. Its a competition and a niche one at that. Not a whole lot of stores are geared to support it, and the ones that do are tied up with either Visa or Google Wallet or Mastercard in contract garbage.
Just mod it in for now until the dust settles and a standard is made. I've been using it for months without an issue.

Chip is not needed just a software fix, there is one for the S3 and 4, also there is a NFC sim card you can get that contains a secure element.
But you then need to fool wallet into thinking you have another carriers HTC ONE. This can be done via the build.prop.
Actually there is a version of the apk floating around with it done in app not sure it will work here

Currently using on my Verizon S3, had planned on trying it out on HTC ONE this weekend. But idjet brother couldn't be bothered to answer the door so I have to wait a few more days.
I'll look for the thread that got me started

OK so here is the S3 Thread that helped me get tap and pay working, I started reading around page 330. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1769083
Also I'm thinking if you have the NFC sim you could try the ASOP version in this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2400143
Again I have yet to test any of this myself since still waiting on my phone but thinking it will probably work. If not then we will need a similar LIB fix as the S3/S4 uses
Well using those guides I installed Google Wallet and its asking me to setup tap and pay. I need to see if I can get one of my parents to help me test it tomorrow or sometime soon if someone else doesn't try before me.
BTW im on Cyanogen Rom and I think i have the verizon nfc sim.

You need a secure sim. Go to my Verizon and you'll be able to order one for free. It should ask you if you want one somewhere underneath your phone picture.
Unfortunately, vz still blocked tap to pay payments. So, right now, it doesn't matter what you have. I got a secure sim a while ago just to be ready when everything is ready to go.
If you have recently upgraded your phone at a vz store, you m may already have an NFC enabled secure sim.

I havent tried making a purchase yet but everything seems to work fine so far.

Rooted VZW GNex with old (modified) Wallet: NFC payment successful
After these tests, I updated my rooted phone with the new app, but I have not yet tried it. All indications are that it should work (e.g. it says it's "ready"). Both SIMs are at least a year old and almost certainly not "secure SIMs" (is there any way to verify with the device?)
So, get the app and start making some NFC payments! It's great entertainment for the night crew at Whataburger and Jack in the Box.

I dont think you need a special SIM. People have confirmed it working already without it
So, ive had GW installed for a long time with an apk i got off here. Can anyone confirm that accepting the update google play is offering will not break being able to use nfc to pay?
Might try it tonight. I would probably disable before taking update being you probably have an unsupported version now technically.

I am running liquidsmooth and I can confirm that tap to pay is functioning properly. Just bought myself some grub at mcdonalds. I still have the same sim that I got 2 years ago with launch of the gnex.
Doesn't matter whether you have a secure sim or not, the API for the secure sim wasn't on the gnex or implemented properly.
Beamed from my Maguro
I remember when the gnex first came out and Google Wallet worked right out of the box!
I've been using the GW app from the APK I got here. I didn't need anything special because my VZW Gnex came with the secure SIM already in it. I installed the update and will try it later today.
I don't have a special sim and the version right from the play store works absolutely fine on my Verizon galaxy nexus including tap to pay. I've used it at the store several times already since the update. The secure sims are for Isis, not Google wallet.

Wallet works fine. PA latest toro release. Nfc tapped to pay at cvs today.
anyone get isis on the note 3? can find it in the playstore. im on international rom so i dont know if thats the reason but has anyone else got it to work?
Worked for me, had to use Xprivacy to get past the root check. Really only good if you use amex or chase cards though.
Doesn't work with like visa or master cards? Found this http://m.androidcentral.com/isis-mobile-wallet-now-available-verizon-att-and-t-mobile-customers

Works with amex or chase cards (Visa) only so far. None of the other cards have approved it.
Many are boycotting the system, users that is.
How did you get x privacy to bypass root so it would work.?I tried no luck

Have to unintelligible app before you enable the module. Try uninstalling wallet isis then reboot then download it again

DO NOT WANT ISIS
ISIS can go DIAF. I'll never use it for many reasons, but the biggest one is on principle: All the big carriers except Sprint kept us all waiting 2 YEARS(!) for THEIR NFC payment solution, just out of GREED to be the middleman, when Google Wallet worked just fine. They've set the industry back.
The other lesser reasons why I won't use ISIS for a long time to come, if ever:
1) requires AMEX, when all I've carried for the last 2 decades is MasterCard and Visa.
2) requires a new SIM, which T-mobile charges $20 for (vs the regular ones which are still FREE)
3) the app itself sucks compared to Google Wallet (I know, because I installed it just to leave a 1-star review, then uninstalled it)
4) refuses to run on rooted phones (without an Xposed module hack)

You just need to set a block on Shell (commands, superuser) for the ISIS app and it worked for me. Assumes you have Xposed Framework of course and that Xprivacy is enable.
I was unable to get isis bypass to work. I tried it first.

Got it working fine on my phone just added my PayPal card to it as a debt card. It gives you a reload able card with no fees if you don't have a chase or Amex card. You can use any card you want to add money to the reload able card it provides. And as far as the sim card goes you don't pay 20 bucks for it, I walked in the store and asked for a isis ready sim card and they gave it to me right there no charge. The program is Ok, yes it's not like Google wallet but as least it works on our phones lol

So you have to feed it money from PayPal or does it automatically draws money from PayPal? If it draws automatically, how did you configure that?
Thanks!
