user data on SDCARD or user data in system level directories??
if just from internal sdcard then just plug your USB cable and browse your phone..or alternatively use Airdroid over your local home WiFi
if data is in other directories apart from ur internal sdcard folder or memory card u will need rooting

thanks for your reply,
I do not have any external card, I have lost my all camera data which stores in gallery folder and I am sure it's in internal memory. my phone is under warranty and some one told me that it will not be in warranty any more if you will root it and there are some other security reasons are too. looking forward to know any other way to get my data back.
thanks again

Unfortunately it is not possible. I had the same problem after only 10 days. I am forced to uninstall apps to instaln new ones! Very annoying. Check that your photos are are saved to the SD card (from inside the camera). You can also regularly delete photos you do not want and make sure other camera apps you have installed save to sd. If you have Spotify or any other streaming music service that lets you save playlists for offline use make sure they save to sd.
This sd issue is a big misstake by Google/Samsung which can only have a negative affect on Android developement.
Regarding rooting. I'm going to wait. I don't want to lose any of the functions that I have, such as S-Planner widget or S-Pen functionality.
Yes You can't move application to SD card on Note2.
Try moving data like Pic,video, music etc to Ext SD card.
Another possibilities is get your device rooted ad use directory bind to move application data to Ext SD card
@Dmwitz
Rooting won't disable any function. except sometime OTA/Kies updates.
I have gone through the posted threads and am still unable to get my galaxy note 2 to move anything from internal storage to the external SD card. Does anybody have any idea what to do or a specific app that will work?
I have the At&t 16GB galaxy note 2. I am constantly getting the message that I have no storage space left.
Please help!
Please give a more detailed description of your issue.

have you tried just using the file manager on the phone? or ES file manager? just manually move what you need, careful with apps some dont play nice with ext, sd. usually in app settings there is an option to move apps.
Hey guys, I was looking to purchase a new Samsung device and just had a question for the people who use one regarding how Sammy handles the external sdcard. If anyone could answer just one question, I will greatly appreciate it.
1) What happens when you mount via usb to the pc? Does it ask which storage to mount or does it mount both?
2) Can you direct titanium backup and twrp backups to read/write from the sd external directly? This would be my main utilization for the external.
3) No game files (such as vice city) can be placed on the sd? I thought so but was told no?
4) Is there a decrease in performance when reading from the sd instead of internal? I would like to place my music on the sd and was wondering if the media scan would take longer.
Thanks so much guys!

1) Both,
2) Yes.
3) Not usually.
4) Didn't notice one.
^^Pretty much what he said. With games data (like asphalt and madden) it seems that if you move the 300-500mb of data to the sd it won't read it, it will try to re download the data to the internal sd

Regarding question 3... It's true that app2sd & the like are absent on the SIII, Though it's possible via init.d script to basically swap internal & external storage, making 64Gb of internal storage possible with the right card!

Hi
I am running omega v15 with teamwin and i went and stupidly wiped internal storage!! so now all my photos are gone!
Is there anyway to recover that partition? anyway to recover the data that I wiped?
Super super mad with myself!
if there is anyway you can make your internal memory appear as a storage device, besides MTP, on your computer you maybe able to recover using recovery software for Windows. Also, try disk digger, it's not guaranteed but worth a try.

its crazy!!
Why is it possible to recover from SD Card but not internal storage?
1. Boot into recovery
2. Mount as USB storage
3. Use drive recovery software like Recuva
4. ???
5. Profit
Nah stupid is not keeping a backup of your photos.

So I didnt give up and was able to recover over 2 gigs of photo and videos using hexamob recovery app. Awesome stuff
I used factory reset in TWRP before flashing to new rom (paranoid android) and now I don't see my pictures from my internal SD card O_O.
When I connect my phone to my desktop it shows about 8gb of data used on my internal card though. Any solutions on how I can get my pictures back?
They're not missing. All your data is in media/0 or something like that. I don't run v4.2 ROMs but all your stuff is moved for the multi user stuff

Found the files, and now have them copied onto my computer. Thanks to everyone.
