Has anybody tried 1.7 yet? Wondering if Facebook sync works - seems like this doesn't work on any roms I have tried yet...
Don't believe you can sync Facebook in Jager 1.7
I can confirm it does not support syncing Facebook contacts. It also doesn't support live wallpapers. I just learned that a few minutes ago. Not a big deal to me, but I know for some that is a deal breaker.
ya, there's no HTC facebook option, and i can't select the regular facbook. i would just use his sense rom for facebook, plus it has hydras undervold kernel and wireless N included.
anyone been able to get titanium backup to work with this rom, for some reason app wont open then fc's after a bit
I've had no issues running titanium backup on jager 1.7. You might wast to try reinstalling it.

So no live wallpaper is confirmed?
I really want to go vanilla, and 1.7.3 seems to be a great rom. Just wish we could figure this damn facebook sync thing out..
Got it working on 1.7.3 - by using the facebookupdate that yeti put in his thread - sorry Yeti if I shouldn't do that
Which thread?

Tried flashing this ROM, got a endless loop of FC. Ended up flashing cyanogenmod test, worked fine.
I wonder if anyone else has seen this problem?

The facebook-update worked great on JagerRom, and I am now able to sync and dont get the hanging notification of syncing.

Has anyone else had MMS problems? I've been looking for a change log to see if MMS was broken, but can't seem to find one. Thanks
I have noticed that Google Voice cannot seem to become/ circumvent the Default Dialer. I cannot convince Google Voice to dial-out via my Google Voice account instead of the native dialer.

yes it did, and I gave it permission via superuser.
Cheers, Paul!

You need to enable USB debugging in Settings > Applications > Development
i have a parsing error too
where should i save the .apk?
Worked for me. Have not tried it with anyone yet but it shows that I'm video ready. You don't need wifi for this to work right? It will work with video over 3g too right..?
UPDATE: Just tried it and works perfectly on SGS2 but I guess you do need WIFI for it to work. My friend tried to chat with me while I was on HSPA and he can see that I was video ready but it just rang once on his end and just a google talk bubble on my end saying he tried to video me but I was not on wifi to receive. Is this normal? Does anyone have it working on 3g (HSPA) too? Also, I noticed on paul's page he said it can be un-installed. If you un-install it, will you be back to the original googoe chat that was baked into the SGS2..?
great work !!!!
I searched, and didn't find anything. Is there a dark gmail for the galaxy nexus?

Thanks a lot! I had a dark Gmail app in GB for a while, but it stopped working.
I don't know why Google doesn't make a dark Gmail - it looks better, and is easier on the eyes

Google should do this officially. It would be akin to adding the day/night mode from Google books.

As I understand it you'll need root access to delete the old gmail apk and move the new one to system, so yes.
You don't need CWM or a rom though, just root access on a stock rom and recovey will be fine.
Well I had to take it off, somehow it seems my google music stopped working after installing this. I made a nandroid backup beforehand and as soon as I rolled back my music worked again. Strange. Really seems weird that would cause any issue at all... Maybe it somehow messed up the account syncing since it would only crash the music when I tried to stream music, local content was fine.

Awesome, trying this now. Been hoping for this. The all white makes my eyes water in the morning because it is so bright...
The date on each email looks a little funny because its color is off, and at times goes outside the border. Also the read vs unread black/grey are very similar. It works though. I'll probably live with it.
I've been using this dark gmail app for days and like it. But just today i realized i went to compose a message and there is no way to send the final email. Am i missing something? Doesnt matter whether its a new email, or a reply to an existing email message, i cant send anything!
Am i being stupid or can someone test or confirm this? Thanks.
http://www.rujelus22.com/evo/downloads.php
Been using these for a few weeks on gummy and CNA. Working great and they look good too.
Ok after more digging, this dark gmail is acting weird for me. It is the new ice cream version for everything including inbox etx. But when i compose a new email or reply to existing one, the compose window goes back to the gingerbread one, AND it has no send button. And no action bar etc. But if i go back to the inbox its fine there. I just cant compose.
Only change ive done is 2 days ago flashed the transparent status bar system ui apk. Im on stock 4.0.1. Anyone know what the heck could be going on here?

i just installed the gmail app from that link, and it is the old version just like it said. not the new ICS version. dammit i just want black gmail!
this might help other people. the link in the beginning of the thread had a broken gmail apk, the send button was missing with other stuff. it was all fixed and can be had over at this thread from the nexus s forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412997
that thread actually links back to the one at beginning of this thread, but dont know yet if they updated to the fixed send button version. anyway this has been driving me nuts and glad i finally found the solution.
regarding the other link to the (http://www.rujelus22.com/evo/downloads.php) i tried the google + from that and it also did not work, and broke my system UI. so i dont know if it needs to be for 4.0.3 or what, but i'm on 4.0.1 and it doesnt mention any info about that. hope this saves others some time!
Hello!
I noticed the YouTube app recently got an update which allows for pre-caching of subscription videos so they're available when the device isn't on WiFi, and although this works on my GNex, the feature is unavailable on my Nexus 7? I was wondering if anyone has found away to re-enable this feature, and if so, how?
Thanks!
Some custom ROMs have this feature.

You're on Paranoid? I don't have a N7 but I'm using Paranoid on my Gnex. I noticed that the preloading options are display mode specific. I don't know why Google would do that but if you put it in the phone style UI it will give you the preloading options.
EDIT: Also, I believe YouTube 4.0.8 still allows preloading whatever the display mode. Probably what dude linked above. On my Gnex I had to stick 4.0.8 manually into /system/app, set permissions and reboot for it to install. But then the Play Store constantly reminds you to update it to 4.0.23.
Hey all,
I just wanna share an apk with everyone. I restored to stock to grab a prl update (25017 is out) and decided to update visual voicemail, backup the apk, and try it on cm11.
It works just fine for me. Still get 9016 texts though.
Here you go! This is the newest sprint vvm.

I had high hopes when it actually installed on 4.4!
Sadly, it doesn't seem to work on the Nexus 5. I know the notifications are messed up right now so maybe an update will fix it later. *crosses fingers*
Thanks
Thanks. Will have to give it a look.
Edit. Install worked fine, app seems to be working fine. CM11 on my S4.
Nice.
Worked great on my 4.4.2 Note 2.
fyi, sent a text to 9999 reading BLOCK 9016 to stop that pesky 9016 message.
Peace.
I'm getting "error parsing file ” when I try to launch that apk.... is there something to be done other than downloading and launching?
...okay so I figured out I'm supposed to move it to /system/app which I managed to do after much hand wringing....still doesn't bring me visual voicemail. Is there another step?

most system apks wont install from you external sd card, move it to the internal card and it will install. but if you have it in system/app folder already, just reboot your phone and it should show up.
I thought that would be the case after reading up on it some more, but it still didn't work.... Found where someone had posted a zip file, and installed that, which did the trick.

Works!!
Thank you so much! Works great!
google voice works just as good as sprint visual voicemail. and it can be used just for visual voicemail only.
I have 5,3,4,32 and it seems to be working correctly. I sent my self some VM, and it looked like it was working.
I know on an earlier version hangouts was causing an issue. The vm i left myself worked fine, but We'll see if that has been fixed.
