I'm having a problem with the Caller ID for people NOT in my contacts being garbled on the following phone:
I've been having the issue ever since I started using custom ROM's. If the contact is in my contacts it shows fine, but if it's not in my contacts then it shows garbled information for the NAME, the number shows fine. Changing the Baseband does NOT fix the problem. Going back to original stock ROM fixes the problem, but who wants to have that!
Rogers Samsung S3
Baseband: I747MUMLL1
CM 10.1 Nightly
K747 Kernel 3.0.62 (Feb 8/13)
Android Version 4.2
Does anyone have a solution or even any thoughts on how to fix this?
Hi,
I just moved from Note2 stock ROM (rooted) 4.1.2 to Cyanogenmod 10.1 (latest nightly build as of today) 4.2.2 and now my note2 does not connect to home wifi (verizon router and Apple router). I did some research and found out samsung has a bug in 4.2.2 where it cannot connect to wifi 2.x Ghz bands but connects fine to 5.x GHz band. I am stuck at this point as my note2 does not connect to wifi. Have you heard of this problem before?
I tried both the mentioned wifi fix on the below link but it did not help
(link)galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-note-2-tutorials/how-to-fix-wifi-hanging-problems-on-galaxy-note-2/
I am now thinking if I move back from 4.2.2 to 4.1.2 or 4.1.1 (Cyanogenmod) then I can get rid of the wifi problem.
If I have to move to 4.1.2 then I went to their website [link]get.cm/?device=t0lte and could not find the mod for the version 4.1.2 or 4.1.1 (for GT-N7105)
Kindly advise.

Hi,
I recently upgraded to Android 4.4.2 and I have the latest CM 11 Nightly installed.... cm-11-20140217-NIGHTLY-d2att.zip
I installed pa_gapps-modular-full-4.4.2-20140531-signed
and installed the latest modem firmware modem_CWM_I747MUMUEND3
My problem is that the phone keeps randomly rebooting.... no idea why.... anyone else experience this issue?
Also the phone tends to freeze for about 3-6 seconds.... strange....
Other then the random reboots the phone seems to be working quite well. no issues at all.
Any help is appreciated!!! thanks!!
Could be a sensitive power button
Well that's why there called nightlies it might just be a bug....its weird that there hasn't been a stable build yet.....but you can try the monthly snapshot and see if that works

Try an AOSP-based ROM or return to stock to see if it still happens.
The phone was secondhand, I purchased a new battery for it also. The phone heats up like mad, especially when the screen is off, it uses up all its battery from being a pocket warmer. Though often the heating up is less, and the battery just drains anyway.
I've seen plenty of stuff online about this, and a lot of it just leads back to flashing 4.2.2
I'm curious as to whether that's my best option, or whether there's something like a Custom ROM out there for the I9195 that will fix the issue.
If there is a Custom ROM out there that can fix my issue, what is it called? If my only option is to downgrade to 4.2.2 how do I do it?
Phone info:
